Great Flavor. Makes an excellent chai tea latte
I searched so many Chai tea powders. This one is perfect! I was looking for something with no additives so I could make my chai lattes the way I want. I wanted something with good flavor and not too bland. This mix is just what I needed. I dilute a 1/2 tsp in hot water (6 oz), I add honey, oat milk, and lairds coconut creamer. Would highly recommend and will buy again!

1/4 teaspoon per 8 ounces is plenty
This chai tea powder is delicious and exactly what I've been looking for. It contains only spices, with no fillers and no sugar. I have a hard time finding sugar-free chai at coffee shops, and on the rare occasion that I do, it tastes watered down. This powder mixed perfectly in hot water, and has a smooth, spicy taste. Since I wanted to mix it with my vanilla protein shake mix, I thought that 1/4 too wouldn't be enough. I used 1/2 teaspoon chai with 8 ounces hot water and 1 serving vanilla protein powder. The chai was way too strong. So, I recommend trying 1/4 teaspoon to begin with. The good news is that my sinuses are clear for the rest of the day.

Everyone Enjoys this Chai Powder
We greatly enjoy the Waka Tea Powder Mix. I offered a cup to an Indian acquaintance, who wanted to try it without an dairy or oat milk. It passed her taste test. She asked me to please forward a photo of the bottle to her. My British friend, who typically drinks English breakfast tea, also enjoyed it as an afternoon cuppa. So I think itโs passed enough taste tests that I can highly recommend it. In fact, itโs tea time now! It is a bit spicy, but if it wasnโt spicy, it wouldnโt be chai

I Like It But........
I'm kind of between 3 and 4 stars on this one. I like it. It's tasty and it's easy to mix up. I do it by the quart in my coffee maker. It just doesn't have a real spice forward taste and I like my Chai like they make it in India, really robust. I'm up to 5-6 heaping scoops (they provide a measuring scoop in the bag) and I run a quart of hot water through into a Mason jar. Then I fill my glass with ice and pour about 3/4 of a glass with Chai and add some Milk to it. Super easy to fix. I love that it's sugar free. I just wish it had a stronger spice flavor. I like it hot or cold but I'm not much of a hot tea drinker (southern iced tea). When I put whole milk in rather than 2%, it has just the right texture/consistency. Evaporated milk works great too.

Delicious!
I almost didn't buy this because of some of the reviews saying it's way too spicy from the black pepper. I didn't find that to be the case at all. I used 2.5 scoops (each ยผ teaspoon) in 8 fl oz of soy milk and it's delicious!! Love it. I barely detect any pepper spice with this amount. I'll increase next time to see if a stronger cup is also enjoyable. I love tea and coffee cold and used to have to brew chai hot, then wait hours while it cooled in the fridge. Really like that I can make this cold in an instant. Will be buying the vanilla flavored one very soon.

Not chai. Just a bag of black pepper. Skip!!
Quite simply--the most disgusting "chai" i have ever had. This is not chai, it's a mix of spices--primarily black pepper. You can tell there's not much tea in this because the caffeine content is only 15mg per cup which is extremely low. Black tea usually has about 40-70mg per serving. I wanted to return this as it was undrinkable, I just paid $13 for a small bag of black pepper. Unfortunately they have removed the option of returning the item due to "food safety reasons." I think they just know that people will not like this and want to return it. There is no sugar, but that's just because it's a mix of spices. It is extremely spicy in a bad way, It doesn't even dissolve well. Save your money and get something else.

A Strong Earthy Tea
This Chai tea tastes nothing like the chai tea that you would get at your local tea house in the U.S. It has a very earthy and healthy flavor to it. I feel like this is a great buy for someone who loves wellness culture who takes taking care of themselves to the next level. This recipe may be closer to traditional chai I honestly have no idea. It wasn't my cup of tea, pun intended. I have had this in my cupboard for a while and I have slowly been adding it to smoothies and other chai drinks to finish it. I won't be purchaisng it again it is just too spicy for me. Not in the burn your mouth way I didn't get that from this blend but there are a lot of powerful herb flavors in this drink that I just don't care for. I don't like it personally but someone else may love it so I can't in good faith give this a bad review just because it isn't to my personal preference. I may just be using too much at a time and not know how to balance out my milk, sugar, and tea. If you like herb heavy drinks definitely give this Chai a try.

DELICIOUS!
This Chai powder from Waka is so good! I read reviews that said it was "too peppery" and after buzzing over the ingredients, had to try it. Most mass produced chai leans on cinnamon for the warmth you feel from the cup, but I prefer the depth that a broader range of flavors like ginger, cardamom and yes, black pepper lend. This delivers that depth and flavor with astonishing clarity. The powder comes in a rather small bag with a tiny scoop to dispense a measured serving amount. I like strong chai so based on another reviewer's advise, used two scoops in my first 10 ounce cup, which was actually strong, and sooooooooo nice. The powder is not sweetened, which allows an adjustment to your liking. I use dark brown sugar, maple syrup, or honey most of the time. Without the bulk sugar can add, those tiny scoops will go a long way. The bag says it makes 195 servings, but even at half that number it's a great value for around $10. In an 8 ounce or smaller cup, 1 scoop is plenty and delivers a softer but still very enjoyable experience. The flavor is consistent cup after cup, and displays accurately the ingredients used. That said, while the black pepper adds to the flavor, it is not overwhelming the more dominant aromatic components in the ginger, cardamom or cloves used. It reminds me of house chai I've had and made with a rich a sweet-spiciness. Whether it's served hot or cold, it warms your soul going down, I swear. One of the best things about this powder is you can use it for more than tea. I have added it to coffee, warm apple cider, I sprinkled some on vanilla ice cream(so good!!) and even added a couple scoops to some chicken in a skillet and served it on rice and that worked too! This will be a staple in my house moving forward.
