Zoolander Costume

Great costume! Everyone had so much fun with my boyfriend and I dressing up as Zoolander and Mugatu. It's normal costume material obviously, not a tailored suit. Fit me okay and I'm 5'1". Jacket was a little big but not a big deal. I must have worked the wig perfectly because the majority of the comments were on that. Very fun!

Costume was WAY TOO BIG despite using the sizing scale. QWig was reddish brown and totally matted and unusable, but the character clearly has jet black hair in the movie and the picture for the costume as well. Very disappointed.

It is important to begin by expressing the size of this thing. My "Standard" jacket wraps around a normal sized person nearly twice, like a blanket of silvery shame. Is this normal? Admittedly, I ordered a standard L but received an XL in some Amazon-inspired mixup. I have invested too much to return it now, unless I can get a M pants and S (really M) jacket. Pants size were XL but jacket seemed more like 4XL. Salvaged with dramatic use of clear tape to fold entire back of jacket in half, narrowing pants 2-3 inches and cutting 3+ inches off pants and bib. The bib is bright pink, and both wide around neck and too short vertically, though you can MacGyver it by cutting the fake collar down and attaching those cuttoffs to the base. Problem solved. Material is thin and resembles 'space suit' more than 'fashion jacket'. The wig can be charitably described as 'hobo-quality' and the costume should either ditch it or switch wigs. I put it in the circular file - plenty of party wigs on the internet. Hot to wear, so do yourself a favor and cut air holes under the arms etc. If you need a silvery space costume and are either the size of a dwarf planetoid, or are enthusiastic about customisation, this is for you.

Bought this just for the silver suit as part of a robot costume, so was not concerned with the wig or dickey. The suit itself was not nearly as fitted as pictured (honestly it was large and shapeless), but it worked really well for my purposes. Folded the lapels over to make a straight seam at the front (sealed with tape), and it was perfect. Very shiny, not too hot and sweaty, and well-made enough to stand up to a few days of Halloween-related wear with no damage. Not sure I'd recommend it as a Zoolander costume, but if you are looking for a silver suit, this is it!

The costume was very cheaply made. The wig was absolutely terrible. I ended up sending this costume back because it was larger than expected in the pants and smaller than expected in the upper body. I'm 6' 225lbs. I have very broad muscular shoulder and the suit top was tight. I didn't trust it not to rip. The bottoms were baggy and not what I expected. If your going to do a Derek Zoolander costume... just make it yourself.. Then money for this costume is not worth it at all... Don't buy this costume because "Male Models?... Derek Zoolander is really really really good looking and this costume is not!" What!? Is this a costume for Ants? Anyways don't buy it do yourself a favor and just donate to "The Derek Zoolander School for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Want to Do Other Stuff Good Too"Ok I'm done with the movie references.

For how many pieces come in the set, I am pretty impressed by the quality of the costume for the price. I am actually using this for a Tin Man costume and not using the wig or the dickey but if someone wanted to use this as a costume for Zoolander, it is just fine. The wig is not the greatest quality, but with some styling it's actually not that bad considering the entire set was only $30. Pretty fun and cool!

The Standard size is really large. My boyfriend wears a size M-L T-shirt and the buttons on this jacked lined up close to his belly button, with the sleeves dangling past his hands. The jacked didn't even cover the dickie, and it just looked awful. I have no idea what size the model is wearing in this photo, but it isn't the Standard.

I'm a 42 short in men's suits, I expected the pants to be too long (and they were, not unusual with my size) but the jacket was very full fitted as well. Actually, better quality than I expected. Note, no pockets.

Fun and shiny but ill fitting. Definitely a costume. Not tailored like photo. Pants are elastic waist and fall down. Coat has single velcro square to close.

Bad quality, it is actually cut in silver spanDex without any structure, the pants is only two tubes with an elastic waist. It’s way to expensive for what it is

Perfect suit for my husbands gord Downie costume

Received what I purchased and it fitted almost perfectly. The fabric is a bit on the cheap side, it wrinkles pretty badly if you don't hang it and pant we're a bit too long but at the end, the costume was a hit and for the price, I give it five stars. Oh and it even came with a wig.
