We have purchased 4 of these now. 3 of them have been the smallest size (16”), and while we have had a continuing problem with the jump ring failing on each of them (really cheap to buy .925 silver jump rings by the dozens) we have been pretty happy with them. We have been using the small ones to get our youngest used to wearing necklaces. He has Sensory Intergration Disorder, so wearing a necklace was uncomfortable, & very distracting for him. We want to be able to purchase him a gold necklace, but we’re not prepared to waste our money in case he lost it due to taking it off & losing it, or never get used to the sensation of a necklace around his neck. This necklace has been great, we even ordered a large one for our oldest son! It has a really nice & heavy weight, & while never being taken off have never turned green, or discolored in any way. Both good reasons that also happen to make it not only a good necklace, but also a great training aid that doesn’t cost an arm & a leg! They look really nice on too! Nobody ever guesses that they are not pure silver/white gold necklaces either! Although we are taking one star for having to replace the jump rings - they probably just need thicker ones because the necklace is heavy - We absolutely Do Recommend this necklace both as a training aid for 1st necklaces, but also as a necklace for anyone who wants a great looking necklace without spending $$$! & We also hope our review is helpful to you!

Everyone asks me where I got this chain from. It is high quality, I have been wearing it for the last 6 years and it still looks amazing and has never broke. I would highly reccomend!

For over a year I looked for necklaces on Amazon. I'd always back out of buying one at the last minute due to negative reviews I'd read. When a necklace I wore a pendant on broke, I needed a new necklace ASAP, and I decided to order this 5mm 36" necklace (I measured my previous necklace and it was roughly 36"). I was quite pleased with the necklace I recieved. It put to rest the fears I had from reading reviews of various inexpensive necklaces on Amazon. This necklace is shiny. Several people have asked if it's silver. The necklace is made of metal, it's not cheap plastic. I have no reason to doubt that this is a stainless steel necklace as advertised. I haven't noticed any skin discoloration or irritation from wearing this necklace for nearly a month. The necklace is comfortable, it doesn't pinch the skin. The necklace and clasp are sturdy; I wear this necklace when I sleep, and both the necklace and clasp hold up to my tossing and turning at night. There are no permanent kinks in the necklace, when a link or two in the chain gets bunched up, simply running my finger over those links is enough to straighten out the necklace. This is a good looking necklace that I've received several compliments on. I highly recommend this necklace for the quality you get at a reasonable price.

I ordered several kinds of chains almost exactly like this one, and despite looking fantastic, this chain was one of the poorer quality chains (and go figure, among the cheapest in price). Mostly because the clasp isn't the best (I would recommend replacing it), and if you look at each individual link, you can see that none of them are actually completely solid all the way around. This means that ALL of them can be stretched apart, making it very likely that the chain will break under minimal force. I will not wear anything nice on this chain because I'm pretty sure it has a shorter lifespan. Definite pros: -Very lightweight, more than the other chains I got (which were of same length and thickness). Very comfortable to wear. -Very shiny, GREAT look overall! For the PRICE (I paid about $5), I can't necessarily complain here. You always get what you pay for, so if you're looking for something DURABLE, then definitely look somewhere else. But as a beginner chain for a child or something, or to use as a spare, this would be great! For reference, I got the 4mm, 16" length.

We regularly buy gold plated jewellery for our son, this time we made the switch from gold over sterling to this brand. Terrible colour, looks like brass more than gold. Links are not finished on the inside and are grey metal underneath. Not worth the money. Do not buy.
