I ordered this beautiful caviar serving set as a first year wedding anniversary gift and it was so loved! It was the perfect gift!

I don't typically serve caviar (maybe once in a great while) but wanted this for chilled dips and things for parties. I liked that the bowl holds ice and you can keep the product in the middle bowl nice and chilled. It is 4 pieces: the bottom bowl (which is footed so it is very pretty!), the metal bracket (to hold the small bowl suspended in ice), the smaller bowl, and a lid (for the small bowl). They also include 2 non-metal (shell I think) spoons for caviar (no metal spoons for caviar!) So besides caviar or another small fish of something chilled, you could use the two bowls separately. The bottom part isn't too accessible if the frame and upper bowl are assembled on it, but it could probably would work for shrimp and sauce or something like that. I haven't used mine yet, but did assemble it to check of chips or cracks or anything. It was in perfect shape. I am saving the box and foam sheets to store mine in when not in use. Overall, it is a very pretty item to use as a caviar dish or any type small chilled item. The small bowl doesn't hold a lot (maybe like a cup), but it does nest nicely in the ice (not just on top). Both bowls are pretty on their own and don't look like a disassembled set if used separately, just two pretty bowls!

This is a wonderful caviar service for small cocktail parties or special dates. It's not overly expensive compared to crystal. It's well made and has a great classic feel. I love that it comes with the mother of pearl spoons too. If you love throwing cocktail parties this would be a wonderful item to add! :)
