Zinus Memory Foam 10 Inch Green Tea Mattress, Queen

Edit: 8 months later. Husband and I are both side sleeps with a little back thrown in. Mattress is still doing very well. We rotate it every month . we recently had a water pipe bust right under it and I was worried about possible mold due to other comments but it didn't. It sleeps better when it's warmer (harder when its cold) we added a 4 inch mattress topper and its helped a bit. My back feels better than it did with the old mattress. For 200 bucks its absolutely worth it. Even with my 250lb 6"7 husband and after 8 months of sleeping on it every night there's no indentation which is really cool. If I can't afford a 1000$ mattress after this wears out then i'll definitely get another just like this. Also we added a piece of plywood between the box spring (from older bed) and the Zinus mattress. I think it helps keep it flat (they have bases for that though but we are cutting corners here atm) Run through: Mattress brand: Zinus memory foam green tea. Size: Queen 10 inch. I've only had it a couple hours so far and it's 9.5 out of 10 inches at its highest and 8 inches out of 10 inches at its lowest. - Bad smell/ chemical smell , bad mildew smell. I smelled it immediately and didn't get a single whiff of anything good or bad. So no smell at all. - Black mold on mattress : Nothing yet but I'll be getting a protector for it asap. (I'll update my reviews in a month+ and year+) Just received the Zinus green tea 10 inch queen mattress today. I got the 10 inch because we can't afford the 12 though with a 6"7 250lbs husband I needed the 12 inch but I can get a topper later . I have to say I was very very nervous about getting this mattress. Money is a huge issue atm but I HAD to do something. Our older mattress is awful. After 2 months of saving and reading multiple reviews from multiple sites ( sleeplikethedead.com sold me on this particular mattress actually) I went for it even though some of the reviews on Amazon had me worried with the bad smells and mildew and mold and not rising past 7 inches so on and so on. Within 20 min of opening it had expanded to 9 inches in most the areas. It sounded starved for air lol sucking it in. Now 2 hours later it's 9.5 inches at its highest and 8 inches at its lowest. Also, we laid ours on top of our box spring with plywood underneath the new mattress as many have suggested to do. There's no smell at all (unless I got the Rona again! Ha!) I laid on it for a good 20 min to test and my hips and ribs (that usually hurt by that point on my other mattress) didn't hurt at all..school just started here and with covid 19 I'm stressed as hell so bad mattress + stress of that I'm a bit tired..I almost fell asleep and that's rare for me. It takes me a long time to get comfortable and fall asleep...It really is very comfortable.( I'm 4"11 and 140+ lbs) So . so far so good. I'll update my thoughts and my 6"7 husband's thoughts as well a couple times during the next month or so and again after a year or so. I know mattress buying isn't cheap and reviews well they suck anymore..hard to know what to believe and so few even mention what they bought and what size ppl are sleeping on it. **Update at a month**.. Every year My back aches when the weather changes. This year was no exception but it's been far far less painful than it was these past few years with old mattress . We will rotate it this week and I'm still deciding if I want a plush topper. At first I KNEW I did but now that it's broke in I can't decide. It feels fine though still a little hard for my taste . I'll probably get topper. Just for my side sleeping style . shoulders and hips do better with a layer of fluff. I'm so happy I chose this mattress and that we didn't get a bad one which happens apparently. Still no smell what so ever and no mold and I'd notice. I'm very sensitive to smells.

Unboxed it and it expanded fine overnight with only a mild foam smell that went away pretty quick. It has a medium-firm feel that's supportive enough that you don’t sink too deep, but still contours a bit for pressure relief. Works well for back and side sleeping if you’re not a heavier person. Motion isolation is good, so you don’t feel every toss and turn. Edges are soft though, so sitting or sleeping right on the side isn’t great. It can sleep a little warm like most all-foam beds. For the price it’s hard to beat for a guest room, first apartment, or temporary setup. Not a forever mattress, but comfortable and no major complaints so far.

WHAT THE HECK! This mattress isn’t good; it’s not great; it’s incredible for the price. It checks all the health and wellness boxes I look for. No fiberglass, CertiPUR US certified foam, an OEKO-TEX certified cover, great pressure relief, and truly excellent support. It is firm, but it is so incredibly comfortable and supportive. You feel like your entire body is being held in exactly the right position. It contours without swallowing you, and when the person next to you moves, you barely feel it. I honestly do not understand how they made a mattress this good at this price. You simply cannot beat it.

I waited one full year to review this mattress so I could give a reasonable and realistic review. I purchased the Zinus memory foam 10 inch green tea mattress March 26, 2016. Pros: -Softness and "squish" is perfect for me. I was very worried it would be rock hard like another amazon mattress I got and HATE and had to buy a stupid expensive mattress topper for it to even use it, but I was worried unnecessarily. It's quite soft and perfectly comfortable but not so soft your back is miserable in the morning. It's just right! -I love that you nestle in and it warms up very quickly to be just the right temperature in the winter!. -In one year of nightly use, by one-two people it's exactly the same as it was. The edges are firm and don't make you fall off if you're sitting on it, there is no dip or depression on either side of the bed. -I originally bought this for a small child but after a slight slip and unfortunate landing on the stairs in July of 2016, resulting in an obnoxious and persistent shoulder injury, I've been using it. It doesn't put pressure on my torn rotator cuff but it's very supportive, and I can sleep with no discomfort! Cons: -Of my family of four, I'm the only one that loves it. My 7 year old thinks it's "meh" on comfort, and complains loudly about how hot it is. My 16 year old likes but doesn't love it. My husband detests it and can't hardly even lay on it to read the 7 year old a story. Perhaps mattress comfort is as individual as people are. Who knew? -This thing gets hellishly hot instantly in the summertime. I honestly don't think I can get my 7 year old through another summer on it. I'm not really sure what the solution is though. I'm totally open for suggestions on this. I'm less than eager to buy a $200 cool mattress topper for a $200 mattress, though, so...there you go... For reference I'm 5'4" and 115-120 pounds, but my 250 pound mother and her 250 pound partner slept on it together for 10 days and they loved it too, so I'm not sure you need to be slender or larger for comfort on this one. Overall, I'm delighted with this cheap and functional mattress and it exceeded my expectations. I never observed any odor at all, from day one to now.

This is now the fourth Zinus memory foam mattress I’ve purchased over the years, so I think that probably says more than anything else I could write. I find these extremely comfortable and consistently sleep well on them. Traditional spring mattresses tend to leave me waking up with back discomfort, but I haven’t had that problem with these. The memory foam gives me the support I need without feeling hard or uncomfortable. After having such good experiences with the previous three, buying another one was an easy decision. Comfortable, dependable, and a great value. I’ll continue buying them.

This is my 3 rd time purchasing its very good quality ,not to soft not to hard medium ,its thick, Its supports back and full body very well.

I purchased this mattress on July 23rd and received it on July 26th so I've been sleeping on it for 2 months. I researched mattresses for several months before I purchased this one. During my research I discovered that memory foam mattresses should be purchased according to your weight. If you purchase a memory foam mattress that's too thick for your size it would be like laying on a brick. If you purchase a memory foam mattress that's not thick enough you will sink too far in and your mattress won't last. I'm a female, 5' 6" and 118 lbs. I fall into the "small person" category where the 10" memory foam mattress is recommended so that is the size I purchased, in king( I also purchased the Zinus 9" platform which is excellent). The mattress came rolled up in plastic and in a box. I opened it up and layed it out on my platform. It expanded rapidly and THERE WAS ZERO ODOR which I was amazed and so pleased with because odor was one of my main purchasing points! When I say ZERO ODOR I mean ZERO ODOR! My mattress expanded almost completely in 30 minutes but for a tiny wrinkle in the mattress cover fabric in the center but after 2 hours the fabric was tight and the mattress was PERFECT and a full 10" in height. The mattress cover fabric is A DREAM! Softer than I can describe, love it! It's has a soft floral texture and is ivory in color. At 118 lbs. I do not "sink" into this mattress but I can feel the slightest bit of give and when I move it expands back immediately. It's incredibly comfortable. I can't even describe what sleeping on memory foam feels like but if you're sleeping on an old-fashioned spring mattress you need to toss it and get yourself one of these because it's fabulous. As someone who lives strictly by the Primal lifestyle, this mattress fit all of my requirements; the EVERGREEN seal assuring the natural green tea extract to maintain product freshness, the BioFoam seal assuring natural plants oils have replaced some of the petroleum (NO VOC ODOR!), the ActivCharcoal seal assuring the all natural and CHEMICAL FREE charcoal will safely & efficiently keep odors and moisture at bay and of course the CertiPur-US seal assuring me that my mattress has been certified for durability, performance and content. Believe me when I tell you I am very, very picky about everything I purchase especially items that go in (my food) and/or on (my skincare) my body. If it's not organic I don't eat it or put it on my skin/hair. I did not want to be breathing in the poisons that are in the petroleum that goes into manufacturing memory but I realize that there really is no way to get around sleeping on a memory foam mattress without also sleeping on/with some amount of petroleum unless of course one could afford to spend $20,000. If I had that kind of extra cash to dish out for a 100% organic mattress I would have done so but that isn't the case. So after months of researching I decided on this Zinus mattress which, as far as being organic/healthier, was one of the best I found. Others costing 10x more are made with the same "ingredients." When I first started researching memory foam mattresses (this is my first) I thought I had to spend at least $2000 to get a good one. You DO NOT have to spend that much! Those high-priced, well known name brand mattresses are no better than wonderful, affordable mattresses like Zinus that are sold on the internet. Don't pay for brick & mortar name brands that up their prices so you, the consumer, pays for their advertising and their rent. Purchase on the internet for a fraction of the cost for the same quality (if not better!) Trust me, I did the homework! Had this mattress been anything less than awesome it would have gone back and I would have dished out the $2000. I finally got around to taking some photos today after taking my sheets off to be laundered. My iPad doesn't have a flash so I tried to brighten the pics as much as possible. I hope you can see how perfect this mattress is. I will also be reviewing my "Zinus 9 inch High Profile Smart Box Spring/Mattress Foundation/Strong Steel structure/Easy assembly required, King" which is awesome and works perfectly with this mattress and my king canopy bed. Thank you Zinus for putting out such a wonderful, quality, healthy product at a reasonable price us regular every day folks can afford! I couldn't be more pleased!

This was a nice medium firm bed. I bought one each for my parents and they love it! Definitely would give it close to a full day to fully inflate

I’ve been using this mattress since 2019, and it has been amazing. The foam has stayed firm and supportive over the years without losing its shape. I was so happy with the quality and comfort that I ended up ordering two more mattresses. Highly recommend!

Why spend thousands on a bed? This mattress is super comfy...it's in between firm and a bit softer. Perfect for my back and neck.

Took around 72 hours to fully get to its size. Have been using it for over a month now and truly love it! Have had no back problems, no trouble sleeping. If you are looking for a reasonable price for a mattress, this is for sure a win!
