These hP cartridges are what my printer needed to operate and print properly. I attempted to use a cheaper off brand, but hP had a security to prevent the printer from operating. What a joke. I could buy another printer for the price of this ink. Shame on hP.

This will work the first time
I tried to go a cheaper way with ejet Compatible with 952XL Ink Cartridges, but they would come and go, showing ink. Never did they show all 4 cartridges with ink at the same time. I returned them and went the full route with the HP ink, and it worked perfectly from the start. I was on the HP Instant Ink program until one of their blue ink failed and goofed up my printer head. When I complained, they said my printer was out of warranty and would not replace it. I would never use the manufacturer's program again, but I will buy the replacement cartridges. I get more than 2 years out of my ink. The program was $72 a year. If you did more than 50 pages in a month they charged you more than the monthly fee. My printer is an all-in-one that works. When I thought about just buying a new one, it seemed that the new ones have issues, looking at the reviews. Amazon was cheaper than buying directly from HP

Good, but outrageously expensive ink.
I mean the ink works great in an HP printer. It just costs as much as a mortgage payment, that's all.
