Stanton DJ Pro 3000 MKII High Performance Swivel Cup Headphones with Carry Bag and Detachable Coiled Cord

Pros: Good, not great sound. Lights are interesting, but if it's something that increased the price I would definitely say it wasn't worth the while. Cord was very nice, and they were plug and play, no issues there. Cons: Extensions on each side of the head band were plastic, and both broke on me after 2 months. Surprisingly cheaply made for the price. Also, ear cavities are a bit small for over the ear, so there was always a part of my ear that was getting pinched and ultimately sore after extended use. Overall they were fine, but I don't think they're worth the price and I would not recommend purchasing them.

The sound quality is comparable to the Grado's SR-60i but with a less punchier bass, which is easily adjustable via a simple software equalizer. Using an equalizer obviously lowers somehow the quality, though it's not that the headphones can't produce the bass frequencies, they just do so not as strong as most Sennheiser's I've tried, so a simple +6db in the ~30Hz dial and +4db in the ~60Hz produces a more balanced sound (in my opinion at least), and it still is pretty neutral and loyal to the original. However, having to adjust the sound with an equalizer just makes it harder to just plug and listen, specially when the equalization system differs from one device to the other. This takes down 1 star. The other star is taken because the build quality leaves much to be desired. I've owned my pair since 2007, and I've really taken care of them, but after some time some pieces start to separate due to... who knows... old glue maybe? Still, mines are hanging in one piece, threatening for years to fall apart, but they still look and feel new, unless you inspect them and then you realize all pieces seem to be together just because...

The order actually came in much fast than I was expecting. The sound of the headphones is great and very similar to the Sony's that everyone has used. Since I having these headphones, I have DJed many location including Tampa, Orlando, Siesta Key Fl and some out of state shows with no problem. Only complaint is they are probably not going to last long because the build is not very good at all.

The sides of the headphones (where the head band connects to the ear piece) break very easily and are made of cheap plastic. I got my stanton replaced and even the replacement broke. Avoid.

WOW!! ordered these headfones and they came pretty quick!! everything works fine right now its been about a month that ive had the headfones and so far they havenot broken...umm i do have one complaint tho...and its the earfone jack...this thing is fricken bigger than my ipod so what i had to do was buy another male to male audio cable shave it down to fit in the earfone jack....and now its not so bulky!!

I've had these headphones for at least 3 years now and they still work! Unfortunately, one of the adjusting arms snapped off when I was putting the headphones on my head after having them for about half a year with light use. Stanton chose brittle plastic for that part apparently! My solution was to get some 5 minute epoxy, fit the length of the band to my head, and then fill the adjusting band with epoxy! They won't break there again (2000lb epoxy). Jeez... Honestly, I'd rather spend my money on the 2000 series headphones. They sound very close, if not identical and don't seem to have the breakage problem the 3000 series has.

Perfect sound, Love the design, the only issue is the plastic mine kind of broke, but sound quality is awesome, worth buying...
