Carter Carry Ceramic Lined Travel Coffee Mug 20 oz - Stone Blue

If you're the type who has a strong opinion about how the term "anaerobic" should be used, who knows the difference between a catimor and catuai, and who haughtily scoffs when you see anything less than 1050 MASL, this is for you. Jokes aside, when you take specialty coffee seriously, you don't get better coffee mugs for a reasonable price than the Fellow Carter. Period. I've tried enough to have figured this out. There are so, so many coffee mugs out there, but the majority of them are plastic or stainless steel inside. That's a problem, as those tend to hold onto oils in coffee. Those oils eventually go rancid, and then everything coming out of that mug has notes of rancid oil. Stainless steel interiors can be cleaned a little easier, but my experience is that plastic will never let go of those oils. The solution to this is a ceramic or glass lining in the mug, which isn't as common. Glass is better, but for mugs that's a moot point--good luck finding that and double wall insulation (which is also critical for a coffee mug). Ceramic will eventually foul up with oils but it takes a while, and since ceramic cleans really easily with something like Cafiza, it's easy maintenance. So ceramic lining is the way to go. Even then, not all ceramic is the same. I don't know exactly what grade they use, but whatever it is has zero impact on flavor as far as I can tell. Besides that, the double wall insulation keeps the coffee hot long enough to enjoy and savor, the outside is a fairly high quality powder coat paint, it seals well enough that I can leave it in its side in my laptop bag without and leaks, and I think it looks great in person. Also, specific to the Carry version, the handle on the lid is nice to have if you think you'll need it.

This is GREAT! I had a different lid on my last one and it started leaking, but this one does not leak. It keeps my coffee warm all day, it's easy to clean, it does not change the taste of the beverage, and it's easy to carry. My last one from Fellow had the top that slid to open. I notice they don't have that now. It was convenient, but it started to leak and I had to put it in a zip lock bag to take to work. With this one I have to remove the lid to drink, but it does keep my coffee warm enough to drink all day and I would definitely by another one if I needed too. I don't think I'll need to. It's solid and is easy to clean. I've dropped it and it still looks new. (I wouldn't recommend dropping it, I may just be lucky with having no damage)

So I personally enjoy the carters I think they are very functional. They are able to retain their temperature for a good while and easy to transport especially with the handle. The one problem with the Carter is that I don’t use the splash guard with hot drinks because it’s still plastic. Although it states it’s BPA free, it still doesn’t state what material it is. But that’s not a problem because you can snap it off or how someone else did in their website and replace it with a stainless steel screw. Other than that issue the Carter is really easy to carry around, good at maintaining its heat, no taste and odor (if you wash it with warm water and soap), and again easy to transport.

I LOVE the design of this bottle. - It is the perfect size. Large, but not obnoxiously so. It fits in the cup holder of my car. - It feels VERY sturdy. Both in the steel materials and the joining of components like the handle to the cap, and how securely the cap twists onto the cup. - There is a sharp edge to the lip of the mouth so that water doesn’t run down your chin or the cup each time you take a sip. It feels very nice to drink from. - The Interior of the cup has very well-thought smooth edges to make it easy to clean. Hardly any nooks or crannies for bacteria to hide in. - The cap requires a firm twist to unscrew each time, thanks to a rubber gasket resting against the steel mouth of the cup, but the size and ergonomics of the handle make this an incredibly satisfying exercise - Again, the handle! It’s so sturdy and perfectly sized. It’s fun to carry this bottle around! This is an absolute 10/10 bottle and worth every penny.

Fellow has been my go to for coffee tumblers. High quality and easy to clean due to its ceramic coating. I swear my coffee taste different, the way it should taste, when I use these tumblers. Never thought I needed the splash guards but it has saved several outfits from getting coffee stains. It keeps your coffee hot for several hours, sometimes too hot that I have to keep the lid off to let some heat out but thats not a deal breaker for me, if anything it's a testament of it's ability to retain heat. It is pricey compared to other coffee tumblers but I find it to be worth it's price and have bought several in multiple sizes however if you want a coffee tumbler that delivers in quality, keeps your coffee hot while tasting great AND look good then this is your coffee tumbler. I never thought I get compliments on a coffee tumbler as people say it looks simple yet elegant.

This was the most expensive water bottle I've ever purchased, but is the most fragile. My first bottle obtained a crack inside within a few weeks of use. I'm very gentle usually, and handwash the bottle, and only use it for coffee/tea/water. I contacted Fellow regarding the issue and they kindly sent me a new bottle. Sure enough, my second bottle also has a crack again after using it for about a month. I don’t understand what's causing the cracks, because I really wanted to love this. It's so helpful that it's leakproof and maintains temperature well, but I cannot tolerate another bottle with another crack.

I was on the hunt for a plastic-free, spill-proof travel mug. This mug doesn’t claim to be plastic-free, but it comes kind of close. Unfortunately, the handle of the spill guard is plastic, as is the grooved part of the lid. The body of the mug is stainless steel, but the inside is definitely coated with something. Overall, it’s a very nice travel mug— and it should be for the price!! It keeps drinks piping hot for hours, almost too hot, frankly. I’ve had to leave the lid off for a long while to let my coffee cool so I can drink it! It’s withstood my first drop like a champ. A few dings and a couple of marks, but you wouldn’t be able to tell unless you were looking for it. Overall, it’s a fantastic mug, and one I’ll keep around until I find one that’s plastic-free. But if you’re looking for something plastic-free, keep looking.

I've only used it once, but, so far, so good. It's a lovely looking, well designed flask. The only thing I don't understand, is that the care instructions on the 'collar' outside the flask says it's dishwasher safe. While the instruction booklet inside the flask says do not use in a dishwasher. It would be lovely if Fellowes extended their design sensibilities to their instructions too!

I bought the smaller version and this one as well. Yes, it’s expensive, but I also use them at home, not just on the go. Like most Carry mugs, it’s a little difficult to clean, but that’s not unique to this brand. What makes it stand out is the quality — much better than many others I’ve tried in the past that ended up breaking. Over the last 7 years I’ve bought more than 10 different tumblers from Amazon (UK and now IE), and this is one of the best so far.

I've been using this mug for a little while now and really like it. It feels sturdy, well made, and the 20 oz size is great for taking coffee or other drinks on the go. It does a really good job keeping drinks hot or cold for a long time. I've used it for both coffee and cold drinks, and the insulation has worked exactly as expected. The ceramic-lined interior is also a nice touch and makes it feel a bit nicer than a typical travel mug. Overall, it's a solid, high-quality bottle that looks good and feels like it will hold up well with regular use. A little on the pricier side, but in my opinion, it's worth it for the quality. I would definitely recommend it.
