the best and only beef liver supplement i would take and the only one i DO take. its a bit pricey, then again most vitamins and supplements can be. if you are going to spend your money on beef liver, or any supps for that matter, might as well get the best. this is that. Vitamin shoppe has limited selections of beef liver for some reason. gorilla mind does them best. like most of the things it makes. high quality capsules, no weird taste or smell. EXTREMELY easy to swallow. you will actually want to take these. plus, you can very simply take 2 or 3 at once because of how well made and intact they are. i swear by these, and honestly is the only "product" that i "subscribe & save" to on the gorilla mind website/app. its worth it. def give these a shot. these are best mixed with a whole food multivitamin. thats all i take literally. 2 different supplements total. just keep it simple.

Great price for the product, however I did find out my vitamin A levels were above the normal range after 6 months of taking this ((about 20% above upper limit as tested), but not at toxicity levels yet). So be careful and get your blood checked sometimes. I was also eating 1/3rd my calories from vegetables, so likely it was all added together. I've taken a break from this and carrots to get back to normal.

I have been carnivore for 16 months. I LOVE liver and onions with homemade gravy and least considered it to be a treat. The first time I ate liver without the sautéed onions and gravy I realized I would need a new way to get my liver intake while eating a proper human diet. I like that the Gorilla Mind Liver is pasture raised and grassfed and nothing but liver in a beef gelatin capsule. One thing to note is that the photo on amazon shows a different doseage and supplement quantity. What you actually get is a bottle (shrink wrapped lid, but no factory safety seal, and I think they should add the safety seal for injested products) of 120 capsules that are 750 mg each of freeze dried liver. A daily dose of four capsules is recommended and is supposedly the equivalent of 1 ounce of fresh liver. I believe this to be accurate based on the size of the capsules. The capsules are easy to swallow. They smell like beef liver but do not have a bad taste when swallowing. The company shares their lab result, which is reassuring.

The capsules come from grass-fed Argentinian cattle raised specifically for beef, not dairy, which means they're probably higher quality than some alternatives out there. They're freeze-dried to preserve nutrients like vitamin A, B12, and iron, and there aren’t any unnecessary additives— just beef liver in capsules made out of gelatin (which according to the Q&A on their website is bovine gelatin). They smell like meat but don't have any aftertaste. Something else reassuring: Gorilla Mind posts their third-party test results on their website. The testing is done by Dyad Labs in Salt Lake City, which seems legit based on their ISO accreditation and reputation in supplement testing.

But today, it is particularly important to make sure that the product you consume comes from cattle which are grass-fed which was of course once true of all grazing animals. Argentinian cattle are considered some of the best in this regard, due to the animal husbandry practices which are prevalent there. Several nutrients which are important to promoting human health are found in notably greater abundance, in proper balance, and therefore are more bio-available to people, when the meat comes from grass-fed animals. This can contribute to a better health outcome for those who are mindful of everything they consume. To be clear, no supplement should be thought of as a magic way to mitigate the negative health effects of poor consumption habits. I am *not* a fan of cooking and eating liver, so find that this a good way of adding its benefits to my diet without experiencing a personal 'ick' factor. The smell when opening the bottle is strong, but the capsules are pretty much tasteless. The dark amber glass bottle had a shrink wrap band on the lid, but no internal freshness/safety seal on the bottle itself. I like that the capsules contain ONLY liver, with no additives. I think that this is a quality product, am glad to have found it and I think it will also be of benefit to other consumers.
