GoveeLife WiFi Refrigerator Thermometer 1-Pack with Gateway & LCD Display

My freezer is in the laundry room where the cats eat and sleep. I also have a preteen that doesn’t always pay attention. My freezer was left open for over 24 hours once and the plug was also knocked out for at least 2 days so needless to say, i was tired of throwing food away. I bought this thermometer specifically so i would get the alert if the freezer got too warm for too long. This works like a charm. I like that you can adjust your alerts settings based on your preference and the alert goes right to your phone. It was easy to set up. I already had the hub for a ton of other Govee items in my home so it was easy to connect and get working instantly. I have had it for about a year without and issues or the battery running low (it will let you know when it’s running low). It’s very reliable and has given me a huge peace of mind. If you need it, you can also look at the history of the temperature which i could see would be helpful for some circumstances. I’d definitely get this same model again if i were to need it. I also like the company. I’ve never been disappointed with my Govee products.

I've used Govee before, and I've thought it was good, so I decided to give this a shot despite the 1 stars. I set it up and it works great. There's one thing you should know. I have an Android and the default notification profile for the alerts was SILENT for me. I had to go into the app's notification settings => other => warning, and change it off silent/set up a loud sound, and override do not disturb. It also has a "email me" option too which I enable as a backup strategy. It's already more than paid for itself when I got an alert. My 3 year old managed to open the freezer and left it open trying to get a popsicle. I haven't had the other problems with ice buildup as other' have. Maybe that's depends on your freezer (I put the wire on the hinge side, maybe that helps?). I'll admit that setup wasn't the easiest, but it's been good since. Also it helped me dial in my freezer (I learned it was running a little warm). Looks great too.

Works great! Free app. Make sure you do the upgrade first. Works great to monitor temperature in freezer in garage. Set alerts if temp goes out of range.

Works exactly as advertised. The app needs some help. When trying to get the gateway to connect to your WiFi, you cannot search for the current WiFi, you have to type it in or paste it in the app. I had to figure that out the hard way. Once you get the gateway setup, you can easily add the remote thermometer quickly. Monitoring the temperature remotely, through the app is easy and the data is stored and displayed in a graph

actually own a meat brokerage. I have reccomended this thermometer to many of my meat customers. They are buying a half or whole beef from me and it’s a large investment. I have a large a large upright freezer at my home for my personal supply of meats. I had a half beef of full blood Wagyu in my freezer. Over 250 lbs of finished Wagyu. The door was left open accidentally. Something must have shifted in the freezer. I found it today, blood dripping out the door, meat completely lost, over three thousand dollars worth of Wagyu, gone. Their gateway device stopped working and never alerted myself or my husband of a temperature change. Govee takes no responsibility. They just said they would replace the gateway. Do NOT trust this device. It has failed multiple people.

This finally got put to the ultimate test when a bad storm came through and knocked the power out. The app was notified immediately when the temperature dropped below the set temp we had it. Definitely gives you peace of mind knowing your deep freeze is working properly and efficiently. easy to set up and connect to your phone through an app. there is a temperature probe that just drops into your freezer, plug it into the wall and that's it!

I had my new insignia deep freezer take a dip and thaw everything in freezer at some point. Luckily I maybe only had $100 worth of meat in it at that point. Customer service wasn’t very helpful and after having to sent unit back from shipping damage 3 times I didn’t want to go through it again. Seemed to be working fine after. Bought this. Sends alerts if temp dips so you can do something about it. Reads temp wherever you mount it. You can also look back in app and see temp history. I haven’t had to charge/charge battery in over a year. Not even sure which you’ll need to do. Awesome product. Gives you piece of mind with these grocery prices. $100 to save you $1000s possibly if a meat freezer. Sold!

This GoveeLife WiFi thermometer is exactly what I needed to keep a reliable eye on temperatures. The absolute best part is how incredibly simple it is to get running—I had it completely set up and connected to the app in less than five minutes. Faites attention aux mauvaises évaluations c.a.d. 3 étoiles et moins. Je possède déjà plusieurs thermomètres/hygromètres de cette marque et j'utilise déjà l'application Govee sur iOS. Je n'ai eu aucun problèmes à configurer ce thermomètre de frigo. Ça se fait pratiquement tout seul en cliquant sur le + en haut à droite de l'app. Vous devez savoir que le thermomètre se branche en Bluetooth en premier et que vous devez aussi brancher la passerelle fournie pour vous donner un accès Wi-fi en dehors de la maison. Ce faisant, la passerelle a automatiquement détecté le thermomètre et tous mes autres qui étaient déjà installés. Concernant ceux qui mentionnent que le fil empêche la porte de fermer de façon étanche, là, je me questionne beaucoup, le fil est plat et mince comme une feuille de papier du moins, celui que j'ai reçu. Il est clair que je connaissait déjà l'environnement de l'application donc cela m'a donné une chance mais, si vous prenez le temps de lire les instructions (en français) vous n'aurez pas de problème. Sachez aussi que c'est mentionné dans la description du produit, que seuls les réseaux WiFi 2,4Ghz sont supportés. Si votre routeur ne le pousse pas, alors, vous devrez alors vous trouver un autre produit 5Ghz.

Fonctionne comme il se doit, en plus j'ai pu ajouter des thermomètre Govee Bluetooth j'avais déjà sur la passerelle pour l'accès a distance, ce qui a été une belle surprise

Put this in my garage fridge, I like the app a lot and appreciate the false reading feature. I did notice that as the temperatures no doubt fluxuate, Sometimes the app shows a short lived difference of about 10 degrees. Not a dealbreaker as I set the sensor with a false reading range.
