We have two large cats who are harness and leash trained. The first thing to know is that no harness is escape proof, especially if the cat is scared by something. These harnesses come closer than most others in keeping our cats confined. The key is to make sure the band around the chest is tight enough the cat cannot back out of the harness.Our larger cat is about 16 pounds and based on appearance, we believe he is part Maine Coon. He has lots of fur and is very solidly built under all that fur. He wears a colorful rainbow colored harness.Our younger cat is 9 months old and long and lean in appearance. He wears the King of the Jungle color with pride.Most of the time, we use longer leads for the cats when they are outside in the backyard. We do have the leads separated so that the cats will not chase or wrestle each other and tangle the leads. If we take them in the car, we use the leashes so that they don't escape when we open a car door or window.We use these harnesses to take our cats camping. Well, truthfully, only the older cat has been camping. The younger cat will learn the joys of exploring a new campsite every few days starting this summer. Anytime we are moving the cats from the camper to the truck or taking them with us as we go on hikes or aound the campgorund, we use the leases.All in all, I give these a 5 claws up rating and will return to buy more. I like to have an extra harness per cat just in case one breaks.

I've tried other harnesses and while they seemed more "secure" my cat also was unable to move normally and he fell and broke some stuff on the way down. Aside from me being sad about him experiencing that and having to replace my things, it was a learning experience.So I decided to try this harness style! I got the Yellowstone one because it's rainbow-y and it's currently June 🌈It fits my 9 month old male cat right out of the package. It could definitely adjust for a larger cat, but right now he's only 3.8kg so it works well. Buckles seem very secure. He is able to walk and jump normally and isn't doing any of the crying "let me out" sad dance, so I assume he is comfortable.I will update in a month with durability! For the price I'm nervous but maybe it'll be good. Wish us luck!

Went camping with cat first time. Bought this as a last min just incase purchase. I had other harnesses from previous cats and had collected along the years. 1st harness slipped over the head and stopped around the back of shoulders.. cat quickly learned to get loose when she wanted. 2nd back up harness was a figure 8 type. I think she figured out a procress with the first harness, although this one lasted a little longer she was still able to get out.. and the figure 8 type collar worried me toi cause it restricts around the neck as cat struggled to get free. Could have been dangerous if wasn't watching her. 3rd option back up was this harness. I'm glad I made a last min decision to purchase it! I like that you can adjust individually the collor and behind the shoulders. If the cat is able to get out one ring at least the second would be firmer and harder to get loose. I was a little worried about how thick it was cause we were in hot weather but the cat did fine. I loved that I purchased the bright colored one cause my cat is a grey tabby and blends in to ground and grass very easily. I can spot her a bit more easily. Still working through how escape proof the harness is, as cat was only on it for a few days. Thankfully cats pretty obedient otherwise and easy to handle. But I'm still happy with purchase. Seems like quality product!

This is exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't too sure when I ordered it if it was going to work on our weird orange Kytté. She doesn't love it, but she doesn't hate it either...and she can't wiggle out of it. She stays pretty still when I put it on her. I don't walk her in it. I mainly got it for vet appointments, because she hates being in a carrier and yowls the whole 40 minutes getting there. With this cute harness-leash, she can wander a little in the car or be held, whatever she feels like at the moment. And the pink leopard print looks so pretty with her orange coat.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:So far so good! Excellent leash system stays on cat longer than any other kind. Cats can still back out if they try hard enough or if this is loose, but it works better than other brands.

Very easy to adjust and put on, and my new CDS-acquired stray got used to it in a couple of hours with very little complaining. I especially like that you don't have to shove it down over the cat's head to put it on. Can't review for slippage because he doesn't struggle against it.

Im sad and so is my cat. We are absolutely in love with this color. But.. the back length is too short.It is only 3 inches long. I compared it to the one she grew out of that is 4 inches long. My Tabby cat is 1 year old and 10 lbs. I thought she was petite. We're deciding if we should cut off this one and use her old one, but my little Stinker said she's embarrassed to go outside like that.

This is the second cat harness from this vendor I have purchased. The first is still being used. I adopted a second cat who now uses the new one. My older cat has used his harness for three years and never been able to back out of it. This product is of good size and safety and is a fair value for the price.
