Bonsenkitchen Milk Frother for Coffee, Battery Operated, Black

I only discovered milk frothers recently, but these things are surprisingly useful. I use them to dissolve THC powder in cold drinks, cappuccino frothing and mixing herbal mushroom supplements with my coffee. The Bonsenkitchen Milk Frother is simple, cheap, powerful and quiet. But I honestly don't expect it to last more than a few months unless I get lucky. Then I'll buy a more robust frother. The Bonsenkitchen forther is kinda flimsy and the battery placement (two AA, not included) is odd. The power button is kinda stiff and does not have a "continuous" setting. Shrug. Anyway, my frother is working well and, so long as it keeps working, 5 stars.

I absolutely LOVE this little gem of a product. LOVE IT!! I use this thing every single day to mix up powdered collagen into a latte. It is so much fun to use. Every time I use it I sing out loud, "Oh little frother....where have you been all my life??" Ha ha! My brother had one at his house that we used to make whipped cream from heavy cream and I was honestly amazed at how quickly 2-3 ounces of heavy cream turned into delicious whipped cream for our coffees (like less than 10 seconds!) My brother has the kind that rests on a little stand, but honestly I did not want that type because the stand seemed unstable and honestly, a PITA to have standing on the counter. I like that this one does not have a stand. At first I thought the battery was going to die instantly, because it slowed down at first when I tried the first few times. But, I figured out how to use it and the trick of it is to not submerge it too far down into the drink where the little motor will struggle to keep up. Instead, I move it around a bit, giving it little periods of rest towards the top of the drink where the motor can more easily whip the liquid around. I have had this several months and the original battery just keeps on chuggin' even with daily use. The speed is crazy fast and makes the milk froth up so nicely. My collagen gets mixed up within seconds. I am talking 3-5 seconds at most. This little guy is an absolute MUST for anyone wanting to mix up protein powder, collagen, powdered vitamins/quercetin (which is famous for being extremely difficult to mix into orange juice.) It works that great. I seriously just love using it so much and should have bought one years ago. It is rare to buy a product that is super reasonable in cost and turns out to work really well and be worth every penny. It is also very easy to clean--a quick rinse under the faucet or a little sudsy scrub and you are good to go for the next time. I sought out this particular brand after reading another customer's review of a different brand frother. She pointed out that this brand was head and shoulders above the other types she has tried and I believe she is probably right. The "ON" button is at the top so it does not get in the way or splashed with liquid or anything. I use this with other drinks too, like to mix lemon juice with stevia sweetener into water, MSM powder into pomegranite juice, and just regular coffee with half and half to give the coffee a more luxurious mouthfeel when I do not feel like taking the time to make a latte or cappuccino. This frother is seriously the best. I wish there was a different color to select other than black but it was not a deal breaker, obviously. I would 100% purchase this again if needed. UPDATE, 02/21/26: I have now had this little frother for ONE FULL YEAR! And I am here to say that, in my humble opinion, it has won my personal award for "Best Product Purchased For Me" for the year 2025! I use this little guy EVERY day to make a latte, and sometimes multiple times a day to mix up other drinks, and he is just chuggin' along on the same battery as the day he arrived in the mail back in February 2025. Now my husband is hooked on it too. Here are the drinks we have used it for in the past year: - whirling up MCT oil into coffee; - mixing baking soda, water, and flavored stevia drops (it's an emergency stomach ulcer elixir that I drink sometimes) - frothing up raw, organic cocoa powder with milk and sugar - my daily lattes with collagen powder - mixing up any number of liquid vitamin tinctures that I take with water - whipping up a teaspoon of wheatgrass powder into 2 or 3 ounces of water for a quick shot - as stated earlier, mixing thoroughly quercetin and vitamin C powders into orange juice I am sure I have used it for a few other drinks but these are the ones we use it for the most. I stand by my original review and opinion. This is, hands down, THE BEST MINI FROTHER!! Congratulations little frother, on winning the award for being the best purchase for me in the year 2025! I will come back here in February 2027 with a brief update on how my little frother is working 24 months from purchase. ANOTHER UPDATE, 05/26/26: The two double AA batteries FINALLY took their last breath on May 26, 2026. The original batteries lasted a full one year and four months (and someone has used it AT LEAST once per day, every day, without fail.) Two brand new batteries went in, and I guess it must be because the batteries are 100% fresh, but I swear that now this frother is working even better than the day I got it!

Very easily mixes things up. I even decided to mix up two scoops of protein powder with it to see how it reacted. Took it no problem. Great product, 1/3 to 1/2 the price of others.

I originally bought this frother to make matcha after my handmade bamboo whisk finally wore out. I wanted something quick, convenient, and easy to use every day, and in terms of performance, this little frother absolutely delivers. It creates a lovely, smooth froth in just a few seconds and made preparing my daily matcha much easier. I ended up using it every single day for about four months, and I was very happy with the results. My only disappointment has been the durability. While it performs well, the overall construction doesn’t feel particularly robust. I also don’t get the impression that this is the kind of kitchen tool you’ll own for many years. I tend to invest in products that are built to last, and this doesn’t quite give me that confidence. That said,. It did exactly what it was designed to do, was easy to use, and made an excellent froth every time. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars. If you’re looking for an affordable frother that performs well, I think you’ll be happy with it. Just don’t expect it to feel like a lifetime kitchen tool.

We’ve had a few frothers/stirrers over the years and they’ve performed well and lasted. Really handy to mix nutritional supplements in addition to frothing milk. The others had a sliding switch on the side you had to turn it on before you immersed it the liquid and then had to pull it out while still running — really messy. THIS VERSION has a spring-loaded, plunger style on/off button on the top — not spinning when it goes in and not spinning when it comes out. Genius!!

With 57,214 positive reviews, you can figure somebody must be doing something right, and I'm here to add my voice to the chorus. This frother solved a common problem for those of us who add MCT oil to coffee. It floats. At least is did until I was alerted to this handy, economical solution. It works by emulsifying MCT oil and MCT oil powder with no mess and in short order. Cleans up easily too, and it beats hauling out the blender. Highly recommended.

Bought this to replace a similar handheld whisk I had been using for protein shakes and stirring extras into my morning coffee. At this price point I was not expecting much, and it has done exactly what I need - with one warning I will get to. I use this almost every morning. Two jobs: mixing a scoop of whey protein into water or milk so it actually dissolves (no clumps stuck to the side of the shaker), and stirring pre-workout powder or a flavor additive into my coffee. This is not a blender and I do not treat it like one. For small-volume mixing of powders into liquid, it is the right tool. WHAT WORKS - It does not over-froth or whip air into the drink. Some handheld whisks turn a protein shake into a foam mess. This one keeps the liquid liquid - it just dissolves the powder. That is the main reason I came back to this category. - No splashing, even with the cup near the brim. I can stir a nearly-full coffee mug without flicking liquid onto the counter. The previous one I owned could not do this. - One button. Runs as long as I hold it. A typical protein shake or coffee mix takes under ten seconds. - Easy to hand-wash. Rinse the whisk end, wipe the handle, back in the drawer. WHAT DOES NOT (the warning) - You cannot throw the whole thing in the sink with the rest of the dishes. The handle is not waterproof. We made this mistake exactly once - it got soaked, never worked again. At this price the loss was not a big deal, but it is the one thing I wish the listing made more obvious. Hand-clean the whisk end only, keep the handle dry. - Battery-powered. Replace the batteries when it starts feeling slow rather than waiting for it to fully die mid-shake. WHO IT IS FOR If you need a small-volume mixer for protein powder, coffee, hot chocolate, pre-workout, or anything where you are dissolving a powder into a single cup or shaker, this is the tool. If you want to blend smoothies or actually break down ingredients, buy a real immersion blender instead. Five stars. The wet-handle failure was my mistake, not the product's. Doing its job every morning - would buy again.

I purchased this milk frother to blend protein shakes, etc. The top switch makes it so much easier to use than others. I liked it so much, I ordered a 2nd one for travel.

Never had one before so I was surprised how well they work. It teaches speed with no effort and mixes my protein powder as smooth as silk. I'm very happy with it especially as it's so powerful due such a small appliance. I like the sleek design and think it looks well made.

Prima melkopschuimer om bijvoorbeeld cappuccino te bereiden. Twee AA (penlite) batterijen erin (niet meegeleverd) even de garde afspoelen in een kopje water en klaar voor gebruik. De garde is niet afneembaar. Melk in de magnetron tot ca 60⁰C verwarmen en daarna opkloppen. Binnen enkele minuten dik, maar luchtig schuim. Voor erg grote handen (zoals die van mij) misschien ergonomisch wat minder prettig, garde is ca 9cm lang tot aan de behuizing, had iets langer gemogen. Voor het tientje een prima apparaat, jammer dat er geen houder bij zit.
