Why does this blow a circuit breaker when set to eco? (1500w)? lo is ok

I know this is old, but- (From the manual) Eco uses whatever setting (H1-700W, H2-900w, H3-1500w) to get the room to the thermostat setting. Try it on H2 or H1 to reduce running wattage if you are using this heater on a crowded circuit. 1500 watts is 15 amps, this should not be running on a circuit with other things plugged in unless it is a 20 amp circuit with correct gauge wiring. You are creating a fire hazard.

How to set the timer? How many hours do you normally set?

Thanks for choosing the Dreo PTC Fan Heater. It have 12Hour Auto OFF Timer. When the unit is on, press "Timer" on the heater / remote control to cycle through 00 -> 01 -> … -> 12-> 00 -> 01 hour timer. When time is up, the unit will automatically stop running. To cancel Timer setting, press and hold on the heater for 3 seconds, or adjust the timer setting to 00, or turn the unit off. Usually depends on your needs, maybe you can set it to 2 hours.

The instructions say not to plug it into an outlet with another “appliance” plugged into it. Do you mean it can’t be plugged in with anything??

1500 watts is 15 amps, most circuits in a house are 15 or 20 amps and a lot of 20 amp circuits aren’t wired correctly (using wires too small for the job). When this heater is plugged into a 15 amp circuit and running on H3 or Eco, it is maxing out the circuit. This is why there are so many reports of melted plugs, tripped breakers.
