I was concerned about a bad smell after reading the reviews, but I can confirm that there’s no smell at all. If you order some and they do have a bad smell, I’d suggest returning them if it’s a problem. I’ve only just got them and used them once, so I cannot comment on the longevity of them. The lock nuts hold the weights in place and seem pretty sturdy. Great value and a good selection of weights to be able to do different exercises or build your way up to a heavier weight. Overall, very happy with them. 5 stars for now, but if something goes wrong in the near future, I will return to update my review.

First of all - to address the claim that these are "Odour-free" - well, no, they must definitely are NOT. They smell about how you'd expect, which is to say like a truck full of asphalt left baking in a hot summer sun. And that's after endless wiping and airing. As someone who is sensitive to such things, this unfortunately forces me to keep them in the garage. That small but eye-watering issue aside, these seem to be a good, solid set of customisable weights. While I can't use them as often as I'd like (due to being in the garage) they allow me to lift fairly substantial amounts compared to the small 4.5kg pair I keep in the house - currently I use them for more intensive sessions, maxing out my upper body, while using my smaller weights on a daily basis. They feel very solid if a bit plasticky, but given the price that's to be expected. Overall they seem like a solid purchase for an amateur looking for a more substantial home workout - and for a fraction of the price of a gym membership. I can't comment yet on durability, but will update this post if anything goes awry.

I am super impressed with the quality of these weights for the price they are! Slight issue with the delivery company DPD not able to find my address so arrived a day later than expected but Amazon customer service were quick to respond and sort the issue out ensuring they were delivered the next day and compensated me for the delay too! So happy with the product and highly recommend these weights!!

Really, £27.05 for 30kg of weights? Yes indeed and whilst they are obviously not cast metal, weight is exactly that, a weight. 2 short bars and a range of weights from 2.5k down to 1 kg. The max I can get on a bar is 18kg, not huge but I am more than satisfied using this weight for an easy bench press, doing light curls with 10kg on the bar and a range of other exercises to suit my age and frame to keep me strong and fit. There is more than enough weight to defeat me on a side lateral raise and I dare say, just about everyone else. 30kg is not a lot of weight for many, but these are easy to store, easy to assemble, the bars have a decent grip and simply put, they work. They are definitely for home use only, but for me they are ideal when I just want a 30 minute work out in the garage. Where they do lose out is they are quite bulky compared to metal, but for the money.......? Great value for money. Ideal for those who just need something to keep at home.

While trying to setup a mini exercise setup in my house, I ordered this pair of dumbells as it was one of the low cost options with great reviews. While Dumbells itself is okayish. It could have a better fit and finish. 1. The weights to be attached are too big in size which restricts free movement of the dumbbell. 2. Handle has one sharp edge. 3. Grip over the handle is flimsy and the edges easy break. This makes the dumbbell useless. I have seen better quality products in same/similar price range being used by my friends. So I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I used this one or twice. It did have a strange smell when opening so give it a clean. The grip is good and the handle is a little thinner than expected. The material is strong, easy to clean and a good quality. The actual design is sturdy with the screw locks instead of those clip ones. They are easy to use....what am I kidding they are heavy so you need muscle to use. The different sizes do help though.

Perfectly good to use weights at a good price. The weights are filled with sand, they're not solid, but the weight is there all the same so it doesn't really matter. The only downside is they are quite large for their mass because of this. The bar is textured and easy to grip with your hands however I would recommend getting some gloves as it does hurt your skin after using for a while. It is easy to assemble and change weights, however, my only real complaint is the screw cap method to keep the weights on. As you use them, the caps will slowly wriggle loose, so you end up having to keep retightening them.
