Works well
Worked great. Bought a used vehicle with security lugs but no keys. Used with impact gun and took them right off. I previously had the GEARWRENCH set but these worked for a fraction of the price.

Removes tire lock nuts in seconds
Literally took 3 seconds to remove my GFs tire lock nut off her tire. The shop took her socket last time she got them rotated then said they dont have it. With this kit I replaced them all with zero effort.

Works as advertised
I bought the replacement key from McGard, but it would not work even though the codes matched and the pattern looked good. I think the tire shop may have used an impact wrench on the locking lugs and bent them a bit. I tried this tool and was able to get all four locks off. Make sure to tap the socket down fully on the locking lug with a sledge hammer, then use a breaker bar to remove the lug. You can use the supplied pin with a vice and a sledgehammer to remove. I wish I would have bought this kit first. I think it was even cheaper than the key replacement that didnโt work anyway.

whack it hard
The locking nuts came off quickly after the first one. Used a small sledgehammer to whack it on. Hammer it on straight.

Works well
Used on McGard-style locking lugs that we have somehow managed to misplace the key (suspect mechanic didn't replace but who knows). Used the 21mm - fit on perfectly. No need to really hammer the socket on the lug as it self taps. Just lightly tap to secure. Spun off in seconds. Kit contains a rod to use to knock the lug back out of the socket - but even using that, it is extremely difficult. Even with a vise to hod the socket, unless you have the special jaws for round objects. Seems the socket should be milled flat on two sides or have a slight flange to make it easier to hold. If the lock ever shows up, I would probably still be able to reuse the locking lugs as the grooves are very slight - although sharp.

Great product if packaged correctly at factory.
I purchased this set from Amazon to correct an issue that I had with a low miles used car that I had just purchased at a new car dealership 30 miles from my house. It had a locking lug nut on each wheel and an empty bag that was supposed to contain the key. No lug key in my car or at the dealership. I read that these easy out sockets work great. The kit arrived from Amazon on time. The hard plastic kit box had a plastic heat seal on it which was in tact. I open the kit and every slot is filled. The problem...there were two of the 22mm sockets and no 21mm socket. Guess which size I needed? This was obviously a hidden factory error so no fault to Amazon. I value my time more than money so I didn't go through the trouble of returning the kit. I did what I should have done & bought one at a local store...problem fixed...locking lug nuts extracted and new ones installed. Hopefully someone doesn't purchased one of these kits and it has two 21mm sockets...lol.
