Tough as Nails, Comfortable as Clouds
I've been wearing these Skechers Boots for work for the past three weeks, and I'm already incredibly impressed. While three weeks might not seem like a long time, I'm on my feet all day, often in demanding conditions, and these boots have already proven their worth. Durability is clearly a strong suit. The leather is tough and resists scuffs and abrasions. I've even had a rather...unfortunate incident where I ran my foot over with a u-boat (long story!), and these boots shrugged it off like it was nothing. Seriously, not a mark. The stitching is solid, and the soles look like they'll hold up for a long time. These boots feel built to last. But what's truly amazing is the comfort. You wouldn't expect a boot this tough to be so comfortable, but these Skechers deliver. The insole provides excellent cushioning, and the fit was perfect right out of the box. There was no break-in period required; they felt great from day one. Even after long, grueling shifts, my feet don't ache. It's like walking on clouds, even on concrete. As someone with a metal plate in my ankle, finding supportive and comfortable footwear can be a challenge, but these boots have been fantastic. They provide great ankle support without any discomfort. These boots also offer great support. My ankles feel stable, and I haven't experienced any foot fatigue, even when carrying heavy loads. The slip-resistant soles provide excellent traction, which is crucial in my line of work. Overall, these Skechers Boots are an outstanding work boot. They're incredibly durable (I can personally attest to that!), surprisingly comfortable, and provide excellent support. If you're looking for a boot that can handle tough conditions – and even the occasional u-boat encounter – and keep your feet happy all day long, I highly recommend these. They're worth every penny, even based on my initial experience.

Good boot for the price
Got almost 2 years of use out of these before they got to the point of being unusable. I work in an auto shop and I'm on my feet for 10-12 hours a day and out of the box these are not that comfortable. However with a gel insole in they're a lot better. I've worn them in some pretty deep snow and they did a pretty good job actually, and I never really lost traction on a wet or oily surface. They lasted awhile and until recently a lot of damage it took was mostly cosmetic that didn't effect how they felt. What did them in was the rubber tread on the bottom getting slits in them that would let rocks get stuck beneath the tread and sole of the shoe. Also the layer of the sole under the insole wore down to the point that the metal puncture proof layer was exposed causing the boots to be pretty uncomfortable. Boots overall were pretty good, they're heavy like most work boots, so I'm getting a pair of safety toe shoes instead this go around However for not even $60, if you get a gel insole you have a really good boot for the money that do last awhile in my experience.

Pretty good work boots.
So far so good. These boots are a little stiff. The sole is decent but not the best. You may need to add another comfort insert to get better comfort but like I said they are decent. You can wear pretty much through a 8 hour work shift with the insert that come with these and your want be too worn out (buy a companion insert for more comfort). Your feet will sweat in these. Make sure to buy the correct fit so your feet are not sliding around. I usually wear size 10.5 and bought size 11 and these fit just right. They also squeak when you walk. Just the leather hasn't been broken it. I've had these for almost 2 months and they still squeak. Anyway these are extremely great value for the price I paid ($39.99 on sale). I've bought $80 or $90 boots that weren't as good as these. The strings are okay, but last pair I had of these the boot strings broke and had to get a new set. Over all the steel toes are a plus working with heavy equipment. And the soles have great traction on wet surfaces (unless you step on wet leaves walking down someone's wooden ramp).

Thrown Away After 2 Months - Worst Boots EVER!!
UPDATE to my original review: Ended up tossing these boots in the trash. As mentioned before, my feet have never smelled until I wore these boots for work. These boots somehow brought out the worst foot odor and you could never get it out of them. Of the 10+ pairs of boots and shoes I own (some 10yrs old), my feet have never smelled and they never smelled. Secondly, 2 months of trying to wear these and they have been the worst and most uncomfortable shoes/boots I have ever owned. Blisters and sore feet since day 1. They are so bad that I wouldn't give them to a homeless person. Their name was good when they first came out....but now, I am not sure. Here is why... 1: Inside of the boot is cheap and you can feel the steel toe edge inside the boot on top of your foot. Very thin material and even had a crease in foot from this edge when laying on ground working for a while. 2: Odor-accelerating insoles. I have NEVER...and I mean, NEVER had stinky feet problems until I got these boots. Within 2 times of wearing them they smelled awful of foot odor... Yet, all my other work boots and shoes have no odor at all. When I wear these for a few hours just walking around, you can start to smell foot odor from them. I don't know what or how this is possible, but when I change into my 14yr old boots I have no issues. 3: Not sure what they tested anti-slip on...but these boots are the worst boots on wet surfaces or around oil or grease I have ever owned. They seem to absorb oils and grease and track it worse than anything I have owned. Getting on a ladder with them a little wet is almost asking to slip off a rung. 4: Take a long time to break in. After blisters on heels and feet, they took nearly a month to break enough to not be so stiff... I work 12-14hr days on my feet and these boots broken in have to be taken off after about 8hrs or so and switched. They are so stiff and you feel every little edge and bump in these boots. I have a set of walmarboots for a 1/4 of the price that were some of the most comfortable and durable boots I have had aside from my expensive ones. Cheaply made, not tested properly, uncomfortable, has serious odor control problems, insoles flatten out within a week, and overpriced.

Great boots, but definitely NOT memory foam.
This is Lauren's husband on her account, which we both use for purchases. **6th MONTH UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM*** First off, these boots look very nice. I like the white stitching against the black. They feel very durable, and have plenty of room. They're actually the first boot I've ever bought that has plenty of space for my wide feet. I really, really like these boots but I am only giving three stars because, even though they are comfy inside: they are NOT memory foam like they claim. I'm not sure what they think memory foam is, but these insoles are 100% not memory foam. The insole is very firm and has no arch support (even though I didn't expect it to). They don't hurt my feet too bad (it probably will soon) but I'm sure I am going to have to buy memory foam inserts very soon due to how firm the insoles are. Despite the false advertising they seem to be great boots so far. I may update this as time goes on. >>6 month update<<: After half a year I am finally retiring these boots. They have not lasted any longer than any other boot I have worn. They began to split on the sides where the sole meets the top of the shoe. The so called ‘memory foam’ insole hardened over time. It came to a point that I could barely walk after getting off of work. There is some kind of plastic liner inside the fabric of the shoe, possibly to make it sturdier, that eventually tore through the fabric, poking my heel and ankle. After that point it began to almost disintegrate and fall into my shoe. At first I thought I had rocks in my shoe but I quickly discovered the plastic and had to resort to putting duct tape over the tears in the fabric. If you’re looking for a budget boot that will last a decent amount of time than this is the boot for you. If you’re on your feet all the time, walking or whatever else, and you are looking for comfort I suggest avoiding this boot and buying a more expensive pair like Timberland or Wolverine. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps!

Top value
Good value for an extremely durable boot. Both the toe box and puncture resistance are extremely good. I've seen these boots destructively tested by Project Farm, and they tested about the same as the top-end boots. Overall the comfort is very good. They feel more like wearing hiking boots than steel toe boots. I was concerned when I saw the black soles that they'd mark up tile and wood surfaces, but so far, I haven't noticed a problem with the black rubber soles leaving marks. I suppose a brand like Sketcher would know to use a non-marking rubber. They seem to run a little small and narrow in my opinion, so if you have had an issue in the past with boots being too small or narrow, you might want to go half size up and possibly order the wide version. The toe box is also a little shallow. I can feel my toes rubbing against the top of the boot. Replacing the MemoryFoam insert with a shallower gel insert seems to have helped, providing more space in the toe box for my toes.

Comfortable and strongly recommended
Have been placing item on my cart for months finally click to purchase. Delighted and happy to make this decision, is a very comfortable steel toe (safety shoe) unlike all those purchased locally at retail which is painful after half a day. True to size just get the wide version from Skechers, already to recommended to my colleagues.
