Burnt Sugar Syrup

This syrup tastes like the burnt sugar on top of a crème brûlée. It’s just a wonderful just-past caramelized almost bitter flavor. It’s very hard to find burnt sugar or caramel flavoring that doesn’t have artificial ingredients, and this is made of just golden cane sugar and water. I intend to use this in drinks and homemade sodas. Very happy with the flavor, just what I wanted. Very happy that there’s nothing in it to trigger allergic reactions for us. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great in an old fashioned. Use both orange and angostura bitters along w 1/4oz of this and 2oz good bourbon. If there was one complaint it would be it is a bit thin, doesn’t provide the sensory experience in the mouth that a gum syrup or sugar cube does (each in their own way). Definitely worth the nice flavor. My threshold for buying a mixer is whether the the quality of the ingredient and flavor justifies me not making it myself, and this meets that requirement.

It creates a little richer flavor for cocktails like "old fashioned" and bought a second bottle to make sure I had some on hand. I wouldn't replace it with other simple syrups, but for a change or twist, its worth adding to your arsenal (I keep it refrigerated and lasts a long time).

I was expecting a thicker syrup. But worked ok in my fruit cake.

I'm on my second bottle, and OH! What this does for coffee is just incredible. I certainly hope they keep making this because I absolutely intend to keep buying it!

Deep dark chocolate flavor, a bit bitter for lighter cocktails, but works great in Coffee and bourbon based cocktails.
