12 Inch Queen Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress, Medium Firm Feel

Super great night sleep . I wanted to sleep on it for some time before my review . It is very very wonderful for my achy breaky spine It is medium firm memory foam not the marshmallow plushy memory foam . The mattress comes rolled up nice and tight in a plastic wrap . Place it on an open floor or the boxspring or frame and carefully cut open outer plastic . Not long seconds maybe one minute later you will see the mattress begin to rise and fill out . I unzipped my zipper cover to let corners expand more . I recommend at least 5-8 hrs of not using it to let it get to its full form and height etc The manufacturer may actually recommend more be aware I just was really tired lol It is suitable for adults and children. And it pet approved too It comes with a zipper cover as I mentioned but let me say it is not waterproof or stain resistant . Those are purchased separately by other brands . I personally feel that for a 12 inch mattress of memory foam the price is warranted. It is portable while rolled and wrapped (out of box) it is heavy And once it is filled out and at its shape it is moveable also but has some weight to it lighter than a spring mattress and easier to maneuver . It does not inflate . It is not an air bed . It is just pressure packed for shipping so it needs to rise like dough . It is not specifically a cooling model mattress; but I find that foam mattresses are a cooler and provide a more ventilated sleep than a spring mattresses, strictly personal opinion . I've had this mattress for about a week now. I keep reading conflicting reviews which make me think the company changed the mattress at some point. Even the title says new version so that could be why so many different experiences. I'll start off by saying I'm a 36 year old female I typically sleep on my sides or back. I usually sweat a lot. I'm about 150lbs my son is 8. Back story I just moved and my old memory foam mattress was over 10 years old and was really needing to be replaced. My Chihuahua recently died from a cancerous tumor on her foot and it was bleeding and leaking all over my old mattress. My young son and our opossum also share the bed with me and my son gets nose bleeds quite often. A gallon of milk got dumped on it at one point, peed on, moved a few times once in the rain so it had really been abused but it was still the most comfortable bed I had ever slept on even after 10 years. I even sprayed it down with bleach a few times because of what I just said and even vinegar, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, you name it and it held up great. Only problem was i had no idea what brand it was only that it was memory foam so unfortunately I had no way of ordering the same bed as my old one. This mattress: Smell So i just moved to a new area far away from where I used to live and figured I'd buy a new mattress and just put the mattress directly on the floor so I didn't have to move my whole bed etc. lots of the reviews people complain about a strong smell. I didn't notice any type of smell whatsoever even putting my face in it and taking a big whiff straight out the box. The mattress inflated immediately and although I didn't measure it, I slept on it about 4 hours after I unboxed it. It's now been a week and feels and looks exactly like it did 5 minutes after taking it out of the box. Firmness: Lots of reviews say how firm and hard the mattress is. Mine was listed as medium firmness and although I prefer a firmer mattress I went ahead and ordered it because most of the reviews say it's firmer than expected. I would say it's medium to soft. It definitely sinks in more than my old one did. I sit in bed alot with my back up against the headboard/ wall and I can tell my butt is sunken in way more than my old mattress and my butt is obviously lower than my feet when sitting up in bed. It is comfortable to sleep on but it does take a second to plump back up after I get up or change positions. Cover It says the mattress comes with a removable cover and reviews say it has a zipper. I could tell the bottom side from the top because it looks different and different material. I haven't messed with the zipper but one review said it's a fake zipper. Not sure about mine. The mattress came with the cover already on it and I haven't tried to remove it yet. My roommates son peed on it this evening and now I am wondering and hoping the cover is waterproof. By the look and feel of it I'm guessing it isn't. I will be updating my review as time goes by and say how easy it is to remove, how it holds up in the wash and how easy it is to get back on as well as what the actual mattress looks like without the cover but for now I just blotted up the pee with a clean towel and sprayed it with disinfectant and blotted again. Fingers crossed. I've also read conflicting reviews about weather or not you can flip the mattress and sleep on either side. Some say you can't some say you can. Im guessing if the cover is removed and the mattress is flipped and the cover is put back on zipper still underneath it might work but the position of the zipper wouldn't be comfortable to sleep on as it's not along the edge of the mattress but again I'll update my review when I cross that bridge. The description does show the different layers that make up the mattress so I could understand why some reviews say you can't flip it. Temperature The description says cooling and Its hard to tell because i now live in a new place further south and I have a roommate that keeps this place warmer than what I'm used to. Because of that, I now sleep with a fan although I didn't used to but so far I haven't woken up sweating yet. Size This is supposed to be a 12 in. King mattress and although I didn't measure it, my sheets do fit the same way they did before... Pretty damn tight. I think next time I buy sheets I'm gonna get the extra deep kind because it is fairly difficult to get the sheets on. I may even get a foam topper just as an extra layer of protection too since I was so hard on my old mattress and this one already got peed on and my current sheets definitely won't fit if I add a topper. That will be easier to replace when it gets yucky and I'm also ordering a waterproof cover Incase this one isn't ( I'm fairly certain it isn't or the description would have said so.) Update: It's now been almost a year the mattress is completely dipped in in the center it's the most uncomfortable soft mattress I've ever slept on I really wish I would have gotten the protection plan because I spent $400 on it and the bed sucks I'm now looking for a firm mattress this bed is horrible and it didn't even last a year I never had back pain until a couple months after sleeping on it now my back and all my joints hurt I'm very upset

I intentionally waited this long to write an honest and reliable review. If you are currently doing research and comparing options, my advice is simple: you can confidently choose this one. There’s a reason it’s a best seller—it is absolutely reliable. That was my reasoning when I bought it, and after a year of use, it has proven to be completely correct. I will break my review into five parts: 1. Great value for money I believe this is the most important factor for rational buyers. I purchased the King size, and for a mattress of this size, the price is very reasonable. It is definitely affordable for the average working individual. 2. Size recommendation If two people are sleeping on the bed, I strongly recommend choosing King instead of Queen. The King size offers better support and does not feel saggy. It is more spacious and comfortable, without feeling crowded. It can even fit three average-sized women if needed, although for two people it is perfect. Of course, if your space is limited, choose what fits your room. 3. Comfort and support This was the main reason I replaced my old mattress. I used to wake up with unexplained body and bone pain, and I thought it was due to stress or aging. However, after switching to this mattress, that discomfort completely disappeared from the very next day. At first, when I sat on the edge after installation, I sank in quite a bit and felt worried that the mattress might be too soft. I even thought I made the wrong purchase. But once I actually lay down and slept on it, the experience was completely different. The support is excellent—there is no feeling of collapsing, yet it perfectly contours to the body. It far exceeded my expectations. I originally thought it was just a good value mattress, but it has actually become something that truly improved my sleep. Even if you offered me a much more expensive mattress, I would not want to switch. 4. Easy setup I’m a 5’4” woman with average strength, and although the mattress is a bit heavy, I was still able to move and set it up by myself. It’s not too difficult—just requires a bit of technique. My tip is to place the mattress onto the bed frame before removing the final plastic wrap. Then cut open the plastic, which makes it much easier to adjust the position. 5. A great wedding gift option A close friend of mine stayed over and also commented on how comfortable the mattress is. I even promised her that I would gift her this mattress when she gets married. For anyone who doesn’t know what to buy as a wedding gift, this is actually a very practical and thoughtful option. Conclusion Overall, I strongly recommend this mattress. I feel like this product deserves a review. I honestly was very skeptical at first about purchasing this mattress being cheaper. I think we sometimes believe we need to pay $1000s of dollars on items in order to get good quality. I heard about this mattress through a VRBO we had stayed at. I had reached out to the owner inquiring about the mattress and he said it was the Zinus 12” mattress. I did pay attention to the reviews and noticed a lot of positive feedback, so I decided to go out on a whim and purchase it. After sleeping on it for a month now, I can tell a difference in not only my sleeping quality but decreased back pain. It arrived in a box which was super simple to pull out. We laid it out on the floor for 24 hours to air out and expand. It was way lighter than our old mattress which was a plus for me. It didn’t have a weird smell. It fit perfectly on our bed frame with box springs. When my husband moves around at night, I can barely feel it. I feel like it supports my spine very well. I have back pain and scoliosis. I’m actually impressed for the amount of money and really not out anything if it doesn’t hold up. I’m interested to see how long the mattress will last before needing replaced. It is a little more on the firmer side but a mattress topper could help alleviate that. The mattress seems pretty durable and the height of the matters fit perfectly. I would recommend this mattress.

Okay... this is an edit to the below, because after a few weeks of sleeping on this mattress and getting "used" to it, I have some more honest feedback. Falling asleep still takes a long time. The firmness isn't comforting. That aside, my low back pain has all but disappeared. I've traded that for new shoulder/upper neck pain. Ive since gotten one of those ergonomic neck cradling pillows that's shaped super weird to see if that helps. Like the mattress, it is difficult to fall asleep with, but it is also helping. Sometimes our preferences are the problem. I'm going to give this pillow more time. I'm sold on the mattress now. Its almost as hard as a rock but that seems to be what's better for my body. So I may not like it, but my body is happier and the results are more important. Original review below. I want to know what their idea of firm feels like because this is like sleeping on a slightly softened brick. I had a 3k mattress get ruined and was causing grief when trying to sleep so I researched for months for a replacement and stumbled on this as the most rated/trusted brand. I now regret not just buying a mattress in person. This is not medium firm. This is slightly softer than pavement firm. As a side sleeper with a low back injury who tends to sleep hot, trying to find the mattress to fit these needs is difficult. I was hoping this was it, but alas, I was wrong. This is so firm that even with a mattress topper it doesnt feel like I have topper on. Which is nuts! All I can say is I hope it softens over time because I have no way of getting my old mattress back. The only bonuses are the fit, size, noise level. But you don't feel people moving next to you on concrete so of course you'll hardly notice it on this bed. Serious buyers remorse. Will update later if that changes.

Initially: I was impressed with this bed. I drug it from my front door to my bedroom and opened the box to lay it on my bed by myself. The box prob weighed as much as me. It seemed fully fluffed in less than 5 mins but I let it be for a day. It's half the cost of what I would pay for another mattress! Pain from old injuries have subsided!!! It's firm but plush, comfortable, and good support. Fast forward: About 6 weeks after having it, we noticed that the mattress sinks in the middle. Between the two of us sleeping on it, it's about 350-360pounds. It causes our back and knee pain to be worse because it sinks so bad. One of the reasons I got this was because we needed something firm enough to help alleviate the pain. I changed the box spring to one from Ashley from another bed. That didn't work much. We thought about getting a firm topper to add to it but at this point if it's doing this after less than 3 months I don't even think it is worth it. It's only in the middle which is where we bother tend to sleep but a king mattress should be able to hold significantly more weight. It almost doesn't make sense to be this bad this soon. Was it damaged in shipping? Used & returned? I have no idea but it's disappointing and now I need a new mattress in less than 6 months.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews and searching for a box mattress. I was having a lot of lower back and hip pain. Waking up sore every morning. I had an original purple mattress and absolutely loved it but after 11 years, it was no longer supporting well and had been through raising 3 babies so it was time to pitch it. I didn't have the same kind of money to buy a new purple mattress so found myself looking for a cheaper option. I tried dream cloud and nectar and was not impressed. Found a review on this mattress with someone talking about their back pain disappearing after using this mattress. Then when the black Friday sales came and this mattress was half price I couldn't pass up trying it. First couple weeks were rough. My body hurt, this mattress felt way too firm and I wasnt sure I could survive it. But I remembered reading a review before a bought my purple mattress and they said you were gonna have some soreness as your body realigned after years of failed support in a mattress. It took a few weeks before the waking up stiff and sore went away. And I realized I hadn't had any lower back or hip pain since using the mattress. 3 months later, I absolutely love this mattress. Downside, I think it holds heat and makes me overheat in the middle of the night . I just bought a cooling mattress protector to see if it will help. But it could also be my 44 year old body acting up. Oh and an extra plus, I also don't feel my spouse tossing around all night.

Decent mattress for the price however one very big problem with it is, if you’re sleeping with someone else in the same bed , side by side . It causes a gap in the middle which can make for problems like waking up with soar lower back from the cave in . As I said for one person it’s magnificent and plush, as for two ? It can make for a problem. Something I never experienced when I went with a higher end memory foam mattress. You get what you pay for , making this one of those things where you have to consider your needs . All in all as mentioned earlier for one person fantastic ! For two ? Something big to consider ..

I’m NEVER going back to a traditional Mattress and this is why. I’m a mother of 5 going on 6 kids. We have a strict budget. I’ve struggled to find a good mattress that’s affordable for literally years!! I’ve tried all sorts of toppers that cost me an arm and a leg. I’ve spent good money on expensive traditional mattress’s. Until last year, I broke my back in a horse riding accident, in 4 different places, I’ve been having a hard time sleeping ever since. My back is never happy, doesn’t matter what I sleep on I always wake up in pain. I spent the night at my sister’s one night, and I couldn’t get over how comfortable her mattress was. She said it was just a cheap mattress from Amazon. I was like what! So I started looking into the “bed in a box” and I bought this one. And when I tell you that this mattress is the BEST mattress, I mean it! It’s soft but firm, it shapes to your body, you feel supported yet comfortable, I slept like a BABY last night! And I didn’t even have to wait for it to inflate, it just puffed up as soon as I opened the package. Quality is everything to me, and this is GOOD quality. I got the 12 inch king, only because I’ve never tried these beds before, and since they are basically foam and air I wanted the maximum thickness to prevent it from flattening. But this mattress is STRONG, it feels like a magic trick, and I loved the experience of unboxing. We threw it on a platform bed frame I bought, and BAM! My life is changed forever. I bought 3 twin sizes for my kids too of a different brand. Those ones are great too, but took longer to inflate. This one was even better. We ALL love our beds in a box. I can’t wrap my head around all the wasted money on traditional mattress’s and fancy toppers over the years. Not only that! It was so convenient to haul in my car, just a box. Not this awkward big mattress that needed a truck, no you can fit this box in the trunk of your car. Which is also very convenient, because I live a ways out of town and I get my Amazon packages delivered to a friends house. So when I brought this home it was soooo convenient. I’m so thankful and blessed that I get to have good sleeps now. Which is literally everything when you’re a mom like me, with a back injury. I can’t shut up about it, I feel like I have hope for good rest, and that means everything to me! It’s horrible living with chronic pain and constant fatigue from terrible sleeps. I could cry I’m so happy. Please if your like me! Consider it. It’s worth every penny. I am really impressed with the product. Itself so far, but it hasn't even been a full month yet. I find it to hold up really well, and it does sink in slightly which supports your body. But it's also very firm, which I appreciate too I have a really bad back and I have chronic pain a lot, my husband however Thinks it's a little bit too hard. I think it's just perfect. It expanded the way it was supposed to, and it's 14 tall, just like it's supposed to be. But I did wait 72 hours before we slept on it. The shipping sucked for the first time. I ordered, and it never showed up. So I had to have a replacement scent. I don't really have many complaints about the bed. Itself so far, but I will update in the future. I find this to be a good quality bed for the price. It saved me from having to spend 3000 or more. On a so-called higher quality brand name bed.

Mattress is thick. It might be too soft if you have a bad back as it sinks in a bit when sleeping on it. I love it though and recommend it. Very comfortable!

Really like this mattress. It didn't take too long to take form, about 24h. We unraveled it before bed, after 30min it already expanded to 5in. The next night it was ready. Idk if it would've made a big difference had we waited the full 72hrs (I believe) suggested, but so far I'm happy. It's nice and soft, but not unreasonably soft. It bounces back once you get off. I'm happy I took the chance. And for the price, you really can't go wrong

This mattress is advertised as medium-firm. I purchased the 12" version as I have previously purchased the 6" version and loved the firmness. everyone who has slept on the 6" mattress says it's the best sleep theyve ever had. The 12" version has come up short. It's so soft. when you sit on it it sinks quite significantly. the impression from my body stays in the bed for a while after I get up. I am so disappointed in this bed especially considering my previous experience with Zinus was so fantastic. I did not find the smell bad, but I also just had new carpet installed so my house smells like new carpet. I would describe the firmness of this bed as "extra soft" not medium firm.
