Living in a rural area, it is hard to get quality spices at a grocery store. This Urfa Biber is perfect for my Mediterranean recipes. Smokey, not excessively hot, and a good value for the money. It is more subtle than Marash Pepper, making it a great choice for many recipes.

The smell of it is great, spicy chocolaty

This spice is amazing! I use it on beef, chicken, eggs, etc. It adds a smokey interesting flavor. Not much heat.

The taste has so much more depth than I expected. I thought it would be another hot pepper. It's not hot but smoky, spicy, earthy. Can't wait to use it this week.

Interesting flavor. More coffee taste. We are going to try it when making our rub for brisket. I think it will be good for that. I don’t dislike it at all. I just think I have to rethink my approach of use.

Urfa is the perfect chili, providing a bit of heat and a wonderful smokiness and depth of flavor. We use it a LOT in cooking. I was introduced to urfa by friends who own a spice company and I, in-turn, turned my boyfriend onto it and now he is an urfamaniac! It's his go-to spice. It works beautifully on pan-roasted cauliflower or salmon. I've ordered other brands that seemed old and flavorless, but this one is of good quality.

This is a wonderful pepper especially for Asian and middle eastern dishes. The flavor is awesome, and it is a nice coarse grind.

Getting into Eastern recipes. It's great using what is recommended for authentic flavor.
