but SUPER hard to put together. you may need some extra tools and the edges are very sharp. be careful!

Metal Earth models are very unique and fun to figure out. We love building LEGO sets and Metal Earth is another nice way to occupy some down time. These are a bit more complex than other models, but look much nicer compared to other model types.

I double ordered this with the standard size metal Earth. The standard was about 1.5 hrs.... This did not. The coloring addition added greatly to the detail and in placement. Ideally it would be great for an even bigger version however this one is excellent.

Not too bad to put together and it looks OK, but has engineering flaws which make the build less than stellar. When putting the two halves together the back end in the exhaust area is not designed well. You have tabs on the bottom which are meant to, somehow, adjoin to receiving holes in the upper half which are covered by fins. I had to bend the lower half tabs in to get the two halves to “join”. This could have been fixed if relief holes were added to the upper fins so the lower tabs could be passed through and bent or twisted. The second issue is the stand. That too is a bad design. It doesn’t fit anything on the bottom that well. It seemed like an afterthought. I had the expectation the stand would be more like the original Millennium Falcon model Metal Earth developed. That model has a logical stand design. The third item are the two side vents that are put on last. They were very sloppy. The pictures of the model show this, but I thought it was because it was a demo build.

Some of the parts are small and require good dexterity to assemble. Some procedures sequence required modification to make assembly easier. Overall, it is an easy project and finished model is good looking.

Ein wirklich unglaublich schönes Modell vom Millennium Falcon. Der Aufbau war schon herausfordernd und fummelig, hat aber echt viel Spaß gemacht. Das Modell besticht durch viele kleine und schöne Details und Farben. Selbst die Sitze im Cockpit sind vorhanden auch wenn man sie dann im Fertig Modell kaum noch sieht. Als einziges kleines Manko wäre der Ständer zu nennen. Mann muss das Schiff schon Punktgenau draufsetzen damit es nicht runterkippt. Aber das ist meckern auf echt hohem Niveau.
