Rust-Oleum Automotive High Heat Spray Paint, Clear

I used Rust-Oleum High Heat Spray Paint in Flat Black to refresh an old, faded fire pit ring, and the results were excellent. The paint went on smoothly with even coverage and dried quickly. The flat black finish gave the fire pit a clean, like-new appearance without looking overly shiny or artificial. After several fires, the paint has held up well to the heat with no peeling or flaking. Proper prep definitely helps, but once applied, it provides a durable finish that stands up to outdoor conditions and high temperatures. If you’re looking to restore a fire pit, grill, or other high-heat metal surface, I would definitely recommend this product. Great coverage, easy application, and impressive durability.

My first order. Seems to be really good high temp paint. I bought 2 cans to use on my two propane deep fryer burners. Follow directions when using. I dryed in the sun first, instructions read to put in an over for different temps and tiems to cure the paint. I just lit the burners on low, to medium and then higy flame for short times and let it cool down in between the temperture changes to cure the paint. It gives off smoke each curing change but in the final the smoke stops, thats how you know when the paint is cured. My 37 year old burners look like new again. 8/24/26. My second order. Ordered on 8/21/24, delivered on 8/24/26. Good fast shipping. I bought two mor cans to repaing my hot tent outdoow wood stove. This product worked so well on my two old propane burners I wanted to use it on my outdoor wood stove. I have really like using this product. Easy to use and sold to me at a fair price. I like it

I purchased this high heat clear spray specifically to seal my diamond art pieces, and it has worked beautifully. I use it on hotplates that I make for personal use and as gifts, and the finish it provides is exactly what I was hoping for. It goes on evenly with a smooth spray and doesn’t leave behind a cloudy or heavy coating. Once dry, it gives a nice protective layer that helps keep the diamonds in place without dulling their shine. I was especially pleased that it didn’t cause any discoloration or damage to the adhesive or drills. Another thing I appreciate is how durable the finish feels. It holds up well and gives me confidence that the pieces I gift will last and stay looking nice over time. Overall, this has become a reliable part of my crafting process. This paint worked well for my application. Here's some additional notes on what I found: Pros: - The paint applied very well, thoroughly, and easily. I really like that it has the sprays upside down feature to it. It made my job far easier. - I followed the directions and made sure to apply many thin coats versus one thick coat. This made the coverage very uniform. - My job was quite small (a muzzle break for my hunting rifle), but there seems to still be a ton of paint left in the can. Neutral: - Make sure you note that there's a curing process for this paint. 250 degrees for 30 minutes, cool for 30 mins, 400 degrees for 30 minutes, cool for 30 minutes, 600 degrees for 30 minutes, and finally cool for 30 minutes. Alternatively, there are directions for curing parts that can't be removed form your car/bike. Cons: - I didn't see, prior to purchase, any mention of the heating and cooling cycle to cure the paint. The break I'm using can't easily be removed from the rifle, so I'm hoping that the paint will cure with some shooting time at the range. (This could have totally been an oversight on my part). Overall, I am happy with this paint. I have not had the opportunity to test its longevity in my application. Time will tell. I will update this review if I have any negative experiences. Actually amazed at how nice this works When you put to heat and I mean heat the metal beneath the clear turns a nice dark black but no pea,in Application is super easy Adhesion is next to none I’m actually going to order another just to have in my garage should I need it

fast drying, and covers quickly and evenly! used it for exhaust pipe on my sxs. time will tell how it holds up to mud and powerwashing. Dries to a true flat black finish. very cool product

Works but if the item gets to hot it doesn't hold up long, not for a rocket stove for sure!!

We used it on our bbq smoker and the paint came out after few mins Order 20 qty spray out of 4 didnt work. 0 out of 10 product

As long as you follow proper baking procedures works great. The color is VERY matte! Be aware. But also nice. Held up well so far after 1 month.

Awesome quality paint thickness and heat resistance is very good Actually i accidentally bought this item (instead of rustoleum caliper paint) Gave a try Nd it worked very well Tip: keep on shaking the can while spraying for good results
