Quality headphones, excellent sound. Good noise cancelling.
Fantastic sound quality over Bluetooth. Amazing battery life. Noise cancelling is good but doesn't blow me away. I guess you can pay twice as much for that feature. I know things have to have price points. 75 for this, 250 for the best of the best, 175 for last generation on black Friday. But the quality of these is really good and do not make me wish I'd spent two or three times the price. The packaging is quite good with all of it cardboard apart from a rigid polyester holder for the headphones themselves, a polythene bag in which is the manual (unnecessary) and a shrink wrap around the box itself (tamper evidence). It could be packed in a tighter box but not much space is wasted. There is no carry case or bag but they have been on my head most of the time and in my backpack when I'm not wearing them. The sound quality is really good, not too bass focused like I know Sony is reputed for, just good clean, bright, balanced audio with plenty in the way of bass to keep you nodding along. The noise cancelling is good, I have a fan running constantly and it gets rid of about 60% of that, it struggles harder with keeping up with traffic noise as cars drive past, it deals better with a constant low rumble. But to be honest, it would be quite dangerous to get rid of all traffic noise! Comfort wise, part of the reason I got these is because my ears get painfully cold while walking and these take care of that now the weather is heading towards winter. When I'm in my bedroom listening to the TV, however, my ears get quite warm and I have to take them off every so often and air them! Not that that is a bad thing it helps insulate the noise!

NOTHING IS MISSING ON THE MUSIC QUALITY
Just few words, I am audiophile from the age of ten years and I know music much more than anyone needs to know about and I know what I am saying these cans are worth every penny, you can't go wrong with this purchase, buy with confidence and you will never regret this purchase, I am able to hear what others can't even appreciate, if I am satisfied with this product this has to be the product that tick all the boxes, I can highly recommend you to go for it and you'll never regret this purchase, bass is tight and deep highs are smooth and beautiful mids are rich in details overall nothing is left to be ignored, buy with confidence and faith, it will work as desired Dr faheem well after having used em for reasonable period and tested em on almost all kinds of gonre have a fair understanding of the worth of the product, well first & fore most specifition is the audible frequently response that every user would want to know, as what Sony claims it to reproduce the frequency response from 7 hertz at the lower end and 40 khrtz at the higher end which is a big claim to print on the box outside the product, you carefully open all such gadgets for incase it needs to go back, so you have the packaging is not damaged, well you have successfully managed to get the item out of the box and after having a quick look at the item first thing we always check is the how does it look for the value of your money, does it gives you visual satisfaction, next you carefully get to remove the item from the box, check out for the instruction manual and the acssecories provided along with the item, once satisfied we move quickly go through the manual so that we do not miss out on the essential Information before we are ready to use the item, okay every thing seems to be good enough for us to remove it from the packaging and if we have already used a similar device we take much as granted to know what we are doing, yes it needs a initial charge before actual use, get the charging out of the kit and hook it to the charging port and connect to the source most likely to be adequate for the power out put in amps, mostly all of these devices take the power of around 1.5 - 2.0 amp, as it is connected a charging light on the device is the first visual satisfaction, no we are long way from the real test yet, mostly they come partially charged with short duration of play time, but as we all know a decent length of charging time varies from anything half an hour to the maximum of overnight length of time, usually good length of charge would mean that when you put this device to the real use It is not short of power most of us do not have the patience to wait until the next morning so after the charge of an hour or so we all jump straight to the test it out, to my pleasure it was almost fully charged only in two hours and I did not have to wait till the next morning, and I have used very many of similar headphones before so I knew how to pair them with my Walkman Sony nw - zx2, it was a breeze almost instant pairing no lag for the device search, I am already happy, I had read its claim of 7hrtz to the lower end, but 7hrtz is not actually audible by the human ears so I decided to choose play ABBA, as Abba recordings had always been in the best of the studios for me to be sure that what ever they are singing will come out as good as possible,, randomly choose an Abba song and hurray it is through to the Bluetooth with the actual frequency spectrum as I would have wanted, low end frequency down to 15-20 htrz is whar out ear drums can feel as something moving in the ears, so it did and I was instantly surprised and happy to have these headphones really touched down to the lowest end of the audible frequency, for the middle range which is actually the vocal, harmorina, voilon or wind pipes, were clean and crisp words were not muffdeled away in the crowd of the band instruments, highs cover the string Instruments or the higher pitch of the female voices, and all came as to be in the first row of the live orchestra, as my player is flagship model from Sony which delivers the sound quality beyond any other device available so I can confirm that these headphones are capable of all the claims that they print out on the box, quick charge for a rush use is as short as 15 minutes, to last almost, you must remember that all of the li-ion batteries have a bar on how many times it can be charged to the full level, so to keep it living for years of use must understand the charging cycles to be saved, as my Walkman is likely to live beyond ten years of regular use and I don't want my headphones to die away before that time either, another very crucial issue is ss the actual speakers inside any device big or small needs a good 50-100 hours of running /playing, as the floating coil is the permanent magnet needs to be totall freed up of any rubbing or risistance to give you the best performance good brands actually run their speakers for at least 50 hours before you bring them home,Ike B&W is a well reputed name in the field of audio products and they developed a magnatibc gel to keep their speakers responding to full spectrum of frequencies and since I happen to own a pair for over 15 years now and I have used them on quite a number of receiver/amplifiers and I have never been disappointed as yet, Now I compare it with the headphones won't be fair, but to be honest I got the sound quality as good as it could get in the way of what you throw to your device, you must have had understood my knowledge and experience in the field so I am more than happy to give em five stars only in the second month of usage and I can very confidenty recommend these headphones for a good audio player that you keep in your pocket or on the table at work, for the, digital noise canceling which is a step above the just active noise canceling,, it does take a bit of actual placement of the headphones to your comfort, it should not be leaking too much though just tight enough to the comfortable position is what you are looking for & there you go, I would say no ifs & buts needed for this pair of headphones, click on the confirm to pay and you won't be given it a second thought after even few years of use, I trusted my Walkman and I knew what I was buying and it had to work so it did and I am happy with my purchase for a decent price, once again full five stars device Dr faheem khan, after having used these already for over four months I wanted to add a few more words to my review as on the electronic and the software end Sony does maintain its lead in the portable or other Audiovisual devices, as for these headphones I have noticed one additional thing as I do own bose, senhizer, AKG and had also used Pioneer headphones unfortunately majority of the big names in the league does do well at the electronic and the software end but most of them fail on the mechanical end as buttons not responding to the desired commands, which is very annoying for the big money you have splashed out out of the brand name, it has only been Sony who never failed on either side of the game electronics /software and the mechanical end, it never gave me any issues even after the use of over ten years it would work as exactly as it was bought a new, I am much much more than happy to have saying that these headphones are the ones that I am sure are going to last over 15 years and I shall not need anymore cans to splash out for me to waste my money & time, in search of the best value reviews or recommendations from the nerds and audiophiles which I myself am also audiophile as I started to get into the music from the age of ten years and now I am well over 60, I am still able to appreciate the music as it is intended to be & I shall carry on for as long as I am around and able to hear something, yes my hearing had been tuned to listen much wider band width than the other men of my age I have a pair of excellent B&W Speakers that I bought in the good times and they were highly priced but since I was in a good job I could afford to buy as an impulsive shopping around 15 years ago and they are exactly as good as the best of any brand, quality or name could claim, I get my friends come over to me many a times just to have a listen to the best of the audio visual enjoyment which I take pride in it for myself, coming back to the Sony headphones here is the crunch line saying that you need only to buy this one in your lifetime and forget about what future holds for your music /audio listening experience, you can't get it any better as it is my promise to all of the music lovers all over the world Stay blessed Dr Hameed Faheem Thank you

Good for 'mid' price device.
I like these but there are issues. I have tried Sony models £100+ more expensive and in the shop they are better, but I'm not sure those are worth that extra price. Perhaps for younger people with more acute hearing the extra cost is worth it. I have previously used "Active Noise Cancelling Headphones," from TaoTronics https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01L90O30W and they provide much the same experience in noise cancelling at 1/3 the price, if you don't mind fitting buds inside your outer ear and can do without wireless feature (if you can get it to work on Windows 7 with Sony let me know how). I only rated 4 stars because of a number minor? points. Pros: Comfortable and lightweight. Can be worn for extended periods (even asleep!) without issues. Seem to be well built. Provides noticeable noise cancellation against background noise, even office chatter and radio/TV noise. Provides a limited noise reduction when switched off/no power. NC is sufficient that you don't need to increase volume of what you want to listen to block out 'normal' background noise. However without input source NC leaves a little to be desired (some hiss). Stays charged for long periods if not used or NC not enabled. Haven't had chance to measure how long a full charge lasts but has to be close to the advertised value (unlike smart phones!). Using BT does of course reduce the battery life but by how much I haven't been able to figure. Cons: If you are trying to pair a BT device, make sure the audio cable is removed (this is not unreasonable). Similarly, if the headphones are on charge it seems you cannot pair, but put headphones on charge after pairing has been achieved. I have only been able to pair one BT device at a time, MP3 or Phone. On an ION Tough Sounds pair of headphones, the two can happily coexist (experiments to continue though). The on/off switch and NC switch are 'soft' switches, actioned by software/firmware inside the phones to perform the required function. Yes, means they must be charged up - but then needs that to operate. However, the problem is that there is a noticeable delay in switching and action 'confirmed' by a either spoken message or a warble making the changeover a 2 or 3 second activity. Until you are familiar with the position of buttons, then tendency is to take the headphones off so you can see buttons to press then you don't always get to hear the 'confirmation'. Slight background hiss when NC selected. For some this may be a no-no. I found that I could block it out much of the time, and even when not it was less annoying than the noise you are trying to block out. Need input source to really appreciate noise cancelling feature. Powers off (no NC) when being charged. Curious. You need a compatible (Sony only?) device to make use of the volume/track controls on the right earpiece. Pulling the jack out of phones switches them off. Pulling jack out of source does not. Thus if you leave cable connected despite no source phones are on, however in this mode they seem to lose very little power. The supplied jack lead had a straight plug and a 90 degree plug. Only ever use the straight plug at the headphone end. If you use the 90 degree connector and it rotates in the socket it can gently lift itself out of the socket. Have yet to successfully connect to Windows 7 or Windows 10 laptop via wireless (can using the TaoTronics wireless transmitter) plugged into laptop headphone sockey. If you are listening to an MP3 player and both player and phones are being charged from same power pack at same time there is a disconcerting hum/interference. This is also true with a pair of NC earpieces I have I so suspect it is a 'feature' of such an arrangement.

For office use, they are pretty good.
These are my second pair of over ear, noise cancelling headphones. My previous ones were a cheap brand I got from Amazon.com, and used them for traveling. Somehow, part of the frame got broken and they were no longer tight enough to be effective. I bought these when I spotted them in the Amazon Warehouse. When they arrive, there was some very slight damage to the packaging, and there was a sticker on the box saying it was a warehouse sale.. Inside, the headphones comes with a regular 3.5mm audio connector and (should come with) a micro usb which is used for charging (mine did not). In use, these are pretty effective in a noisy office. I understand how these work, and will always be better on constant noise (like the drone noise inside a plane) than talking in an office, but they do an OK job at drowning out a couple of noisy colleagues in an open plan office. Audio wise, they are remarkably good. I use them a lot for YouTube, and I've even used them for video conferencing, the inbuilt microphone is very clear so I am told by other people on the calls. Bluetooth pairing was pretty simple, I've paired to both an iPhone and also a Mac. The Mac took a bit of playing around, that is more of a Mac OS thing than any fault of these headphones. Bot now they are paired, everything is all good. Switching them on, I get spoken notification they are on, and spoken notification they are paired. A quick press of the off-on button also tells me the battery status. I've got about 16-20 hours out of them from one charge (2 days at the office), and there was still juice left in the battery, but I put it back on to charge overnight. There is a quick charge functionality, the box claims 10 mins to get 60 mins. , I'm not sure how accurate that is, but they seem to charge quickly. They are pretty good comfort wise, although I have not worn them for more than about 4 hours without taking them off for an hour at lunchtime. Next time I'm on a 12 hour flight will be the test of them, but they are not tight on my head, and my ears do not feel like I've been in a rugby scrum. The instructions advise that they will not charge via a hub, but should be connected directly to a charger. I've got mine connected directly to a regular (Anker brand) changer, and a regular usb and it works just perfectly. Overall, I'm very pleased with them, even at the full price, they are a lot better than what I previously had, both in regard to the noise cancelling and definitely in regard to the audio quality.

Comfiest headphones Ive had
UPDATE TO MY REVIEW BELOW: It is with a heavy heart dear reader that after 6 short years and a couple months extra, my headphones met their end. They started randomly disconnecting and turning off after a few minutes with ample battery multiple times one evening and in an shame worthy moment of frustration I threw them against a wall, almost immediately mournful of my action as I saw them break on impact .... but, they did give up after just over 6 years... and I am sad, I have quite large ears and these fit very comfortably and for the price to sound quality ratio, they were the best I ever had ,..... RIP my beautiful CH -700N. no more will I see you on my PC bluetooth list :-( ... I paid 80 pounds in a November sale in 2018 when they retailed at 150, it is now Jan 2025 and they have made their last "power off" sound.... I`m sorry, I have to go now and be alone..... just buy them :-( My below review was around two and half years ago.. I am writing this review now as these headphones are starting to show wear, the leather has split on one of the ear paddings an the foam its sticking out now, I simply love these head phones, I got these in a sale in 2018 for 79.99 I think half price at the time, and they have had daily use for four years and still going, they are by miles the best headphones Ive ever had, and will be buying another pair, Why? Its been four years and there are probably better options now and these may not be available anymore. Well I have quite large ears and I have comfort issues after a couple of hours normally but not with these, so if you see these, buy them

Affordable, good quality wireless noise cancelling cans
I bought this product to use at the gym and when commuting by Train. Before purchasing this product I used a pair of wired in-ears. The problem I had with those was that background noise would cause me to have to turn up the volume a lot to be able to hear my music properly, and the cable got in the way at the gym and was a faff to pull out of my shirt when I got to the office. I managed to buy these on sale for £80 and really happy with my purchase. Pros: - Noise Cancelling: There are better (and much more expensive) noise cancelling solutions out there but this really does the trick for me. I can listen to my music at much lower levels and without being bothered by background noise (particularly the obnoxious rubbish they play at the gym). - Wireless: Freedom! It's really great to be free of that cable and not having to worry about it getting caught in the gym equipment etc. - Comfort: Can wear for a good few hours without them causing any discomfort to my ears/head. - Sound Quality: Sound quality is decent for casual listening. Certainly not a flat frequency response and wouldn't attempt to use them for audio/sound engineering or any kind of critical listening (for that I use Beyerdynamic DT880 pro). - Controls: being able to skip/pause/play from the headset is very convenient - Hands free calling: Wasn't something I bought these for but it's quite a nice feature that I have made plenty of use of. Cons: - Comfort: I know I listed it as a pro above but there is one thing about these cans that is uncomfortable - They are TOO WARM! Particularly at the gym my head ends up sweating buckets wearing these things and it feels a bit disgusting. I have to wipe them down regularly thoughout my session and clean them regularly as well because of this. - Controls can sometimes be a little unresponsive when you first power up. Could possibly be my phone not responding right away but unfortunately don't have a way to test. Overall I recommend the product, particularly if you happen to see it on sale!

Really, surprisingly good
Coming from using Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro's for a couple of years, I'm very surprised at how good these sound. Especially the bass, which is notably more impactful without being overly so. I use these to listen to a variety of music as well as for gaming and everything works and sounds great. My only complaint about the sound really is that rock (music with a lot of instruments) don't sound quite as good as with my Beyerdynamic's. Possibly because of the audio compression. The sound isolation that the pads bring probably blocks out 60% of outside sound, whilst the active noise cancelling blocks another 25% (although mostly on the lower or mid section), so 85% or more of outside sound is blocked, which is really impressive. I've used these in the gym a couple of times. They are very effective at blocking out the gym's music and other sounds but the pads are not very breathable and so you they will get sweaty quite quickly. I have since given up on using them in the gym because of this. As I mentioned, I use these for gaming, including fast paced ones such as PUBG and Apex Legends. I've not had any issues sound delay. Connectivity distance is good but depends largely on your device or bluetooth dongle. I can walk further away without the connection dropping when using a bluetooth 4.2 dongle instead of a 4.0 dongle. Ergonomics - The buttons are intuitive and the battery life is good. The headset is also very light, but unlike the Bose QuietComforts, aren't very comfortable when you rest them around your neck. The mic is poor - mainly due to the poor audio compression of bluetooth. I've had to resort to using a desktop mic instead. Overall I'm really impressed and I think these are very good value for money. I plan to use these as my main headset for a good few years.

Best “bang for buck” headphones around.
I’ve tried lots of headphones over the last couple of years so I know a lot on this subject. Let my experience of wasting my time on unnecessary purchases prevent you from wasting your time on doing likewise. My judgment is based mainly on sound quality, comfort and price. Noise cancellation fans should read no further. I’ve tried the 1000XM3 and the XB900 and the hear on 3 and you’re basically paying for better noise cancellation and a slightly nicer feel. As far as the sound quality is concerned there’s nothing in it between the above 3 headphones and these 700N’s. This is because the WH-CH700N’s have complete access to the ace up Sony’s sleeve- the connect app. Total control of sound settings. These headphones (regularly on sale at Amazon for £75) sound utterly amazing once you’ve customised the sound to your liking. Nothing comes close at this price. Bose and sennheisers accompanying apps don’t have anywhere near the same sound customisation levels as Sony’s app. All other manufacturers don’t even have an app at all. Scullcandy do but just for their high end model but this brand is all about bass levels that distort music and make your brain rattle. Why anyone wants that is beyond me. Just so you know.... these wh ch700n’s have plenty of base in case you’re thinking they might be @flat” sounding. I have the bass level on the equaliser at +3 (range is -10 up to +10), and that’s all the bass I need. Comfort wise, these are the comfiest headphones I’ve ever used. Very light, not too tight and with big Enough ear pads so that your whole ear fits inside. So many headphones (surprisingly) don’t. This helps with sound isolation too due to the fact the whole pad is air tight around your ears. Forget Sony’s wh-ch-710 also as it’s the newer version of these amazing headphones but it has far less sound customisation access in the Sony app.

Great value!
Happy with the product, however, it took near 2 months from order to delivery!

Incredible price/quality
I have been using this one for over a year now, mostly for work. Great price/quality. Works long enough on a single charge (I can get through 1 to 2 weeks of meetings), though charging is very slow.

Also für Dickköpfe gut geeignet.

❌ No puedes cargarlos mientras escuchas música.

Ho notato differenze? In realtà poche.
