Is it similar to miso paste in taste?

Yes and no. It has a hint of spice . It is delicious, but if you are using it as a replacement for miso, the flavors don’t exactly match

What about the expiration date

The expiration date is 11/17/2020 for the current stock we have now!

Can this be frozen for later use/should it be?

According to various sites on the web it should be refrigerated. It does have an expiration date on the container. I didn’t see anything about freezing it.

Is there a gluten free version of this product?

I don’t know if this is gluten free but this company have more products and yes have gluten free and organic ( I love all )
