Worth the money if you need a filtration system
These filters work great for my house as my water provided by our county is not very good. It's very hard and when you run it through filters it will show just how brown the water is. Using this filter system makes my water as if its being delivered from a natural spring. I know this as I've tested the water before and after and the results are amazing. As far as how long the filters last probably depends on what water you have coming in. When I first installed this system, I changed it after one year and the filters were brown, especially the sediment filter which it the first stage. The brown color lightened as I went to stage 2 & 3 but I figured I would change them sooner than waiting one year. This time I did it at about 10 1/2 months which I noticed a slight difference but one of the ways you can tell is the home water pressure will be reduced and that would be a sign to change them. Next time I'll probably change them at about 8 months and see if there's any difference. At about 6 months is when I begin to notice a reduced pressure in the house, but we'll see. As far as cost is concerned, I think the cost is reasonable for what the system provides so to me it's well worth the expense, I just try and buy the filters when I see them on sale no matter when I plan to change them as that keeps the maintenance costs down. I would certainly recommend this system to anyone looking for clean good tasting water. I have the system installed in my garage and the appearance looks great and installation was easy enogh for me to do myself.

Worth The Money
I installed this system in conjunction with a big box store water softener to treat our rusty well water in northern Illinois. Installation was straight forward and went without incident. Prior to installation, our water would look clear coming out of the tap, but the toilets, showers, washing machine, dishwasher, and any other fixtures or appliances would get substantial orange rust stains on them within a few days of cleaning. The water definitely tasted like well water, but it was drinkable in a pinch. After installing the filters, the taste of our well water is comparable to that of bottled water. The rust buildup in the appliances and fixtures was reduced by probably 80% or so, but not completely removed. I just changed my first set of filters after six months, as I was uncertain what my service life would be given our level of rust. We also noticed a minor drop in water pressure in the last couple weeks, suspected filter contamination. The sediment filter was very discolored, probably in the middle of the color chart found on ispring’s site, definitely in the ready to change range. The other filters appeared to be in good condition, no notable discoloration. After the filter change, water pressure returned to normal. Going forward, I plan to change the sediment filter only every four months, the other two filters annually. I will reevaluate that as time goes on, but I think that will be sufficient based on my observations from this first cycle. I think this is a great product that definitely changed or water quality and drinkability. I highly recommend.

Highly recommend!
We’ve had a single filter system for years and it was ok. The well water still stained everything yellow or rusty brown and smelled like sulphur and tasted meh. We installed a new 3 filter system with these filters. The difference is incredible! No more smell, taste or stains. After a year, we changed the filters, not realizing the first sediment filter needed changing every 6months. Gross!!! The other two filters were noticeably clean! After swapping all 3, we let the water run in all faucets for a few seconds to purge the lines - water was light brownish for a few seconds and lots of air, but once done water is great again. Now we know to change the sediment filter more often! Highly recommend.

Great filters
I live in rural Tennessee and I have an artesian well. The elements are very strong here. These filters help clear the sediment, help the water taste better, and eliminates the odor. It does not reduce the water flow at all. They do have to be replaced about every 6 months, but that's pretty normal. Initially when first installed it leaks a little, but it seems to stop on it's own very quickly. You will see a grayish color (that's the charcoal working, not harmful) in the beginning as stated, but it goes away quickly. I had the water tested by an independent company and they were shocked at the results. It softened the water and lowered all of the major elements in the water. They said we bought an excellent system. I don't even have the red stains from the iron. It's amazing!!!

Unbelievably Awesome
Here is the deal. What I am about to say is going to make me sound like a "bot" or something. The fact is that I am just extremely happy. Well my wife particularly is extremely happy and that makes me happier than I would be otherwise. We just bought a home in WV. We do not have city water. In fact not really sure there is a city anywhere near me. Our well water has a few issues. We asked a plumber and lets just say the cost was prohibitive. So we looked around and found Isprings whole house system. We have a lot of sediment and got the sediment filter thingy too. Well it turns out we have more "manganese and iron" that what we thought (yes we tested). So the smell was coming back. My wife, who was very frustrated because her hair was breaking all the time now. Apparently that is not cool and personally I would not like to see her bald and she did threaten that if I did not get the water fixed. Anyway my wife called Isprings and asked. She had seen reviews and the reviews said they were great. Well. Great is an understatement. My wife called and Michelle answered. Michelle made us feel good about being a customer and made us feel even better by making a few suggestions and then sending us the right filters for free. I went under the home today, navigated the junk piled up in the crawlspace and easily put in the new filters. They are working great. Thank you Michelle and thank you Isprings. Not only thanks for making us feel like we were heard, but thank you for helping to ensure my wife does not cut all her hair off.

Pricy but Good quality 3-stage filter replacement pack
The sediment filter needs to be replaced more often so I purchased a set of four 20” sediment filters made by another manufacturer that are identical in size and quality to the iSpring sediment filter that comes in this set but at lower cost

Works on hard, high iron & manganese, high TDS well water; great customer service too
I’ve held off writing this review until the system has proven itself. I have been through a few attempts with Richard from iSpring helping me out along the way; and in June I finally installed this specific 3-stage set of filters. Our well water is problematic, and feeds two houses. One house uses this filter set, the other house uses a 5 micron filter, and a softener with iron reducing chemicals. This filter set has proven itself to be far better than what I have on the other house - on the same water. I’ve had the water tested, and it’s very hard, with high TDS, and high iron / manganese - which makes it difficult to treat reliably. At first I had an issue with a premature failure of an iron/manganese filter - so I wasn’t convinced. Richard kindly offered this full set, which I was dubious about. In retrospect I now suspect that the initial 5 micron filter wasn’t sealed perfectly, and so dirty water was reaching the iron/manganese filter - which fouled it prematurely. You have to be very careful to install these centrally in your housing. Once installed properly, our water has been crystal clear and tastes so much better than the other house - for nearly 8 months now with one filter set. I’m hoping to get 18 months out of them based on our water usage, so we’ll see - but even at 8 months I’m happy. I suspect some of the negative reviews are caused by improper installation or water with other contaminants that this filtration set isn’t suitable for. Get your water tested before choosing.

Package opened?
The package arrived within the time frame supplied and appeared well packaged. I installed the sediment and the charcoal filters without any problems. When I opened the box with the iron/manganese filter and tried to pull the filter out of the box the plastic cap, (which was loose) tilted and allowed a small amount of media to escape, mostly inside the blue holder.I also noticed that there was no plastic wrap around the filter as there was with the others. I was unable to get the cap to fasten securely on top of the filter and had to install it while trying to hold the cap in place. I had no camera nearby to take photos and it would have been very difficult to hold the filter together and take photos at the same time. I had to install the filter as the old one had reached its limit. I can only hope that the filter does not leak media through the system while in use. The thought occurred to me that Customs personnel may have opened this filter package looking for smuggled drugs being as it rattled when shaken. I will discuss this with ispring staff.
