Meross Matter Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring & Simple Setup(MSS) Feature

I've been using this Meross Matter Smart Plug for almost 18 months now, without any problems. Last week I woke up and the plug was dead, and I couldn't get it to power back on. I immediately reached out to Meross's customer support - this was easy to do and I had to fill out a quick problem describing the problem. I have today received a message back from Alicia at Meross who has instantly issued a replacement device to be sent out. The product is great, the customer experience is even better. works with home assistant! Fairly easy to setup on its own app - then pass a code to home assistant and use that instead of another hub. Its app updated its firmware OK. Nice it has power monitoring too.

It’s been a day of using it. Setting up the plug was very easy. The steps were intuitive enough. The setup was easy. App showed the electricity consumption which was the primary reason for buying this plug and the plug could be controlled via the app as well as Apple home. Overall value for money and good product so far

This is the smallest smart plug I’ve found with Matter support, and it performs reliably once set up. It’s solid and dependable in daily use. Setup can be hit or miss, sometimes it connects to Wi-Fi on the first try, other times it takes up to an hour. But once it’s online, it works flawlessly.

Works great, linked with Alexa, now I don't have to get out of bed to turn the lamp off 😂.

So far these have been dreadful. Plugged two of them in, managed to sync one up with Amazon then after lots of attempts got the second one to sync only for it to overwrite the first one! Makes absolutely no sense when they have a QR code to connect with! Finally got them both to sync and they are now both just unresponsive and when one of the was working my god it was slow, 20 seconds before it would actually active the switch!

Meross MSS310. I’ve had two of the slightly older versions of this “smart plug”/energy monitor which worked fine. My experience with this one was not great. I was unable to set up the smart plug as it appeared that there was a problem with its blutooth transmitting. Regardless, if you don’t already have a Google home/alexa/smart-things network hub it would leave you with just their Meross app. This app has far less functionality, won’t allow use on multiple devices (so family members cannot view what they use) and it didn’t work anyway. Waste of 2 hours.

I bought this to replace an old plug so I could connect it to my apple eco system. Unfortunately I couldn’t add it directly to HomeKit via matter, not sure why but it just kept failing, ended up having to download the Meross app and do it via that, not ideal but it’s all set up and works very well.
