I wanted a way to add various pepper flavors in cooking (such as homemade macaroni & cheese or rice dishes). This assortment from Herdez, a familiar brand in Mexican cooking condiments, has been perfect. Three different pepper types (various heat levels and LOTS of vivid flavor), in concentrated pastes (roughly like tomato paste in consistency), in squeeze bags with screw lids. They're holding up just fine, refrigerated, months after I opened them.TIP: Combine the Herdez chipotle paste with cream cheese (proportions to your taste) for an amazing sandwich spread. By itself it makes a very tasty simple sandwich, open-faced or closed.

Good flavor, good presentation, gentle with stomach. Easy to use and mix.

waaay smaller than anticipated. i guess i expected too much from the photo. they are tasty, damn tasty.

Flavors are great, only wish it came in a larger quanity.

I enjoyed the middle sauce and the spicy peppers.

Why don't they sell these individually? The chipotle is so unnecessary as you can find canned chipotles in adobe in every grocery store and have little use for them. I've got 2 nearly full pouches that I'll probably never use and am about to have a third. I'll probably switch back to processing dried peppers as it's wasteful.

We cook a lot, used to buy lot of dry pepper that end up in the garbage but now we do have what we need and it taste much better than the dry thing

I bought the 3 pack that had hot, medium and mild (I forgot this by the time it arrived and I used it ;-)The hot is on a scale, for me, of being about an 8 (of 10 is too hot for me to enjoy) I realize that this is a personal reference but let me just say, I enjoy "heat" as a flavor but not heat for hotness sake - I would never be in any hot eating contest.The flavor is really bold, strong, and you will have to judge for yourself if you like it - I did.I used them on pork chops and on tri-top cubes that I used for tacos (added cheese, olive and sour cream)
