Pleasantly surprised
This is my first foray into eating sardines. From other reviews I've seen, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I initially started looking at sardines because they're reputed to be more nutrient dense with FAR lower risk for mercury contamination. They are lower in protein than tuna, but I feel the other nutritional benefits outweigh the protein issue. Honestly, it really isn't much different from tuna, IMO; and I'll continue with that comparison because most people are probably familiar with canned tuna. The appearance is different, being the bodies of several small fish rather than a portion of a larger fish. More color variation, seeing the actual shape of the fish, etc. Nothing off putting for me, though for people who need their food to look appetizing right out of the can, it might potentially be an issue. Taste wise, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference if i didn't know. I could see making a sardine salad sandwich or sardine casserole just as easily as a tuna salad sandwich tuna casserole and being none the wiser. So, if you like tuna, odds are you'll like skinless, boneless sardines.

Connetable Skinless Boneless Sardines - Excellent
This was our first purchase of this brand. We were pleased to find big pieces of fish with firm texture, nicely cleaned and packed in clear olive oil. We flaked the sardines using the oil from the can and fried up some patties, and they were delicious! Packaging says: "Fished in Central-Eastern Atlantic. Product of Morocco." Kudos to Connetable for stating Country of Origin. I wish all products would provide that info. Overall, we are very happy with these sardines and will definitely be buying again. Update 3-12-20: we purchased this again and the quality is just as good!

Great meat fillet
This is a great meaty fillet. I do not like the other ones they make with the skin on they are very mushy but this one is one of my favorites
