The only DIM I use for estrogen dominance & perimenopause
I’ll never use another brand or type. This DIM (diindolylmethane) contains calcium D-glucarate and vitamin D3 (if you take any vit D3 make sure you’re taking a vitamin K along with it or it will cause calcium to be distributed to your arteries rather than your bones where it needs to go. If you’re using DIM for estrogen dominance or perimenopausal symptoms, the DIM alone will work great for a month then leave you feeling like death. That’s because it slows the liver to pull the bad estrogen from the blood, but it can only store it there temporarily. Calcium D or another supplant called Sulforaphane is required to complete the rest of the livers detoxification process. DIM gets the estrogen out of your system and the Calcium D or sulforaphane allow it to be eliminated when you go poo. Calcium D aids in that necessary process. As you start perimenopause, it’s common to have a sudden spike in estrogen causing estrogen dominance, mine lasted a year. During estrogen dominance I was so fatigued I couldn’t get out of bed, had went from 112lbs at just over 5’ to 153 lbs in a matter of months, my body was bloated, my hands could type or open a bottle and I was sweating profusely in the dead of winter. The worse was the depression one moment and panic attacks the next. I’ve never been depressed. I have ADHD so anxiety is part of it, but this went beyond anxiety to absolute hysteria and paranoia. I was snapping at everyone and even slapped my husband on one occasion. He’s a saint and just hugged me and said, “I know it’s not your fault” so losing 100% of my libido to the point the idea of sex made me physically ill made me feel guilty and awful. Then it was the PMDD monster coming out worse than ever which I had in my teens and 20s.. this time every ovulation window and 3 days before to the 7th day after my period. I also developed severe hormonal constipated that was so bad before I knew what was causing it, I was only having one bowel movement a month. The acne! Never had a single sit until the age of 38. St 42 where I am now, I was getting hormonal bumps on my temples and jawline. The sore cystic acne would just sit there and the skin on top would dry and crack, bleed leaving a sore that would never heal which had left me disfigured from scarring though I never picked it messed with my face. The sores left scars. M I didn’t leave my house for two solid years. After intense research and using myself as a lab rat, I tried plain DIM and within 3 days I was a new person. Then after about a month, the negative symptoms came back with a vengeance! More research led me to the supplements needed for DIM to complete its job. Within less than 4 months I had I lost 20lbs but never any more than that despite eating one single nutrient packed meal daily and drinking water/herbal tea (unsweetened) throughout the day and doing core body exercises since perimenopause was the likely culprit. It changed my life and while I’m no longer estrogen dominant, I continue to take it because it only eliminates the bad estrogen allowing the good estrogen to be healthier and stronger. Bad estrogen can lead to breast cancer (research show positive results in shrinking of tumors when taking high IV doses of DIM (milligrams in the thousands) DIM is a preventative against estrogen sensitive cancers in medical studies in both men and women. My husband takes it for prostate health as it prevents prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia, the precursor to prostate cancer. I’ll never stop taking this combo. It works, it contains both supplements needed to do the job and the studies I’ve read have shown that even at high levels its safe (more the most part) as long as you’re not pregnant or breastfeeding) The biggest complaint is a headache which my husband got at first but eventually went away. Two years after its miracle results, symptoms returned, however, it was the start of official perimenopause. How I manage that hell: I use the dual pack of Hello Pharmacist’s Bi-Est 5.0 (5,000mcg per pump) a pea sized amount in rubbed into my inner thigh morning and afternoon. I use the same brand’s progesterone cream (which has 75 MG USP per pump.) I am still menstruating as usual just 3 days shorter than hsual so I use a pea sized amount of the estrogen every am and around 4pm in the evening and the progesterone only after ovulation for 10 days along with the estrogen. They make an estrogen 7 which is the max formula but it’s way too strong for me. hello Pharmacist is the only OTC brand I’ve found that has estridol as well as the mild estriol. I use the 5.0 estrogen as a face cream as well and it works like a dream and reduces the androgens that produce oily skin acne. The twin pack w both creams sells for less than $60 here on Amazon. When you don’t have health insurance and doctors know nothing about perimenopause, using yourself as a guinea pig is all you can do to find what works for you and I wanted to share some things that worked for me that If you’re in the same place, you might consider if you haven’t already. I anlso take DHES which I did get online through Winona for $25 plus ann $80 Dr. consultation fee but they were helpful. To lose weight I can’t stress intermittent fasting enough. Eat one nutrient dense meal and don’t eat again for 12 hours. Within the following 8 hours have another nutrient dense meal and don’t eat again for another 12 hours. Drinking only herbal tea and water. I actually just eat frozen dinners. One being the Honey Turkey & Glazed potatoes by Healthy choice and the other is Whole & Simple brand southwest chicken style Quinoa bowl. No pastas or carbohydrates and as much lean protein as possible, however my weight which in my 20s and early 30s stayed no higher than 115 lbs, now hovers around 125-128 which is FAR better than the 148-152 I was at for a 5’ tall female. As for supplements I take: *Magnesium - 2 capsules at night and one in the morning *Vitamin E with tocotrienols (avoid the alpha-tocopherol) 1 in the am and 1 in the pm *Omega m3 fatty acid capsule with evening primrose once daily *Vitamin D3+ K (always include K with D3 or else calcium could end up in the arteries rather than the bones. *Dr. Tobias brand Saw Palmetto which is similar to the Rx hormonal acne drug spironolactone *Biotin, once in the am and once in the pm since I started loosing gobs of hair when peri started ****Methylene blue (**£DO NOT TAKE IF ON AN SSRI/SNRI such as an antidepressant. It can cause serotonin overload which can be fatal. Do research before trying MB but with ADHD, life was hard enough, with perimenopausal brain fog, forgetfulness and lack of focus, I had to quit my job for two years and only started back after discovering MB regenerates low functioning and even dying mitochondria in cells, esp in the brain and works for ADHD much like adderall except doesn’t make me sleepy like amphetamines do. Please research this before buying any. If you have ADHD I recommend 365 Labs Active Daily Health Defense which has L-Theanine, low dose caffeine, and of course the Methylene Blue. I no longer take Rx meds for ADHD since starting this 365 brand of MB, but please do some research beforehand to see if it’s right for you. It also helps prevent autism meltdowns. L-theanine can cause headaches. *GABA gummies knock me out cold before bed. 2 is the recommended dose but 1 is all I need. Make sure if on MB you space them apart at least 4 hours or the GABA won’t work. Both play on GABA receptors and MB wins every time. *Vitamin B12, B6 sometimes a multi complex B vitamin when I run out of the 12 and 6. * black Cohosh I take during my luteal phase when my progesterone gets out of control. *Spearmint tea helps lower androgen production relieving acne, oily skin, facial hair, etc. but fill up a large tumbler with insulation so it stays cold all day and drink lots or else I persons don’t see much benefit. Turmeric and Ginger tea, Roobios tea, Green Tea, Hibiscus tea is super hydrating, most any unsweetened herbal tea is a great alternative to those like me who cane drink straight water plus want the benefits from the herbs. Just check the ingredients and make sure the tea is of quality. *hormones during ovulation and both 3-5 leading up to and up to 7 days after my period leaves me seriously constipation to the point I’ve gone a month and ended up in the ER. milk of Magnesium used to help but now I take Dr. Tobias 14 day colon cleanse then nothing for a month and start the 14 days again. You’ll get the bubble fits, but that means it’s working. It’s a true poop miracle! I share this bc it has been the routine that has saved my life as I was becoming suicidal bc I lost my business and couldn’t move I had so much joint pain. I have a manageable life back now. I can be intimate with my husband again, have clear skin and while I still have brain farts here and forget my keys and phone (ADHD) + mood swings are inevitable, keep a log of your symptoms and look for patterns. I’m no doctor (though I have numerous certifications in holistic medicine and wanted to go to med school but as a kid from the system, that wasn’t going to happen). If you’re in a bad state like I was, I hope this helps. I don’t have anyone but my husband and as much as he tries, he’s a man and can’t understand. I’ll try to edit my profile to include a way you can reach out of your need a female perimenopause buddy. It’s tough for many of us and doctors only make it worse. The horror stories I could share. Good luck ladies and men. 💜

Life Changing
Calcium D Gluterate has been a God-send for me. I have struggled with ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, and days of painful, debilitating cramps for the last 30 years. I have been trying to get pregnant for 19 years In fall of 2017, the uterine fibroid began bleeding and in the next six months continued for over 170 days. I thought I was going to die, as I couldn’t breathe from lack of oxygen and had to stay in bed for months and months. I didn’t have the energy to stand up and walk. I was on the verge of needing surgery to have the uterine fibroid removed. It was large, painful, and was affecting every aspect of my life. I was resisting because I was still wanting to get pregnant and felt that another surgery (almost a dozen on my belly now) could certainly destroy our dream of me becoming pregnant. I am a researcher and had researched everything and had been praying for a long, long time for answers. This probably sounds crazy, but one morning last fall, in September 2018, I had a dream right before I woke up. I heard the words “calcium d-gluterate.” When I woke up I googled it and was shocked to see that women use this to decrease the size of fibroids and cysts. From what I understand, this is possible because the calcium d gluterate removes excess estrogen, which is what grows the tumor and cysts. I have always struggled with excess estrogen in my body and was never told by doctors that there was a way that I could have it removed. I literally got out of bed and drove directly to the vitamin store and bought calcium d-gluterate and started taking it immediately. Within the first week I noticed a huge difference! The swelling of the tumor decreased significantly. The size of my belly decreased significantly. I started feeling more energy and more like myself than I had in ages. It definitely helped my situation more than anything ever has. I no longer have painful cramps and the uterine fibroid does not swell or bleed anymore. I decided not to have surgery because of the significant changes for the positive. I was and continue to be overjoyed. The stress of another potential surgery was lifted off of my shoulders and I feel so much better!

A must-have for post-pill peace
I started taking this after stopping my hormonal birth control to support hormone balance and liver detox, and so far it’s made a noticeable difference. In the past, I’ve struggled with breakouts and irregular periods after going off the pill, but this time, things have felt much more stable. Almost two months post-BC, and my cycle has stayed regular with virtually no acne, which is a big change from my previous experience. I can’t say for sure it’s all from this supplement, but I do believe it’s played a key role. No side effects, the capsules are easy to take, and I love that it’s vegan and third-party tested. Definitely worth trying if you’re looking for extra support during a hormonal transition.

A supplement that actually works
I’ve struggled with hormonal cystic acne since I was a teenager and it got even worse in my 30s. I tried everything I could to help fix my skin, but nothing worked. I read all the positive reviews on this brand of DIM and decided to give it a try. It took about 4 months to start seeing a difference, but this stuff actually works! If you needed a sign to give this stuff a try, well here it is! Some people noticed a difference sooner, but it took 4 months for me. Trust the process. I haven’t had any painful pimples in two years.

Best one by far
I was recommend recommended by a healthcare provider to start taking DIM to help with my estrogen dominance. I have tried a couple other brands, by far this one is my favorite. I like that it also contains CGE to help liver function and processing as well! I will be buying again! I feel so much better when taking this supplement.

I think it's working
I'm 40 years old and got ID'd today by someone who thought I was under the age of 18, so I think it is working... Maybe too well. I'm hoping for some effect on mood, pain, fatigue, and if it's not too much to ask: these extra pounds that are hanging around. Will update after I've been on it a bit longer. So far I'm waking up with a headache and the feeling of being hungover, but I haven't been on it long so I hope that will pass.

Love it
Love this supplement so far! I started using it back in April after my naturopath suggested it to support hormone balance and overall detox pathways. Within a few weeks, I noticed I felt less bloated around my cycle and just more balanced in general.

Calcium de Glucarate is an excellent product to keep on hand!
I always have a bottle of calcium d glucarate on hand. I seem to be drawn to this particular brand, probably because it works! I use it for detoxifying excess estrogen which happens occasionally on hormone replacement therapy, and for women going through periods menopause. It also works great with those sensitive to fragrances & other chemical exposures. Calcium de glucarate is excellent to use for detoxifying.

Want to love, but upsets stomach
I want to love this product but it is still too soon to tell if it is working for me. I take this with Smoky Mountain DIM and am struggling as they both contain BioPerine and when taking them together I am getting a double dose. I have a sensitive stomach so find myself with terrible heartburn after taking them, despite being on Nexium for years. I have taken their DIM in the past for years with great results, so I will continue to take this (I find less stomach issues when I take the DIM and this several hours apart rather than together) to see if this works for me and my body gets used to it. Will update in a month!
