Broke in less than 4 months.
I replaced the base of my chair because the previous one had broken after two years, but the rest of the chair was perfectly fine. After a couple of months with this new one, I noticed that it was reclining too much and when I flipped it over and saw the entire mechanism was warped and squashed and broken. The unit that came with the chair broke along the welds on the other side of the mechanism, this one just simply crushed itself after 3 months of semi-regular use.

Welding was done poorly part of the metal had a broken shard sticking out and it broke when I was setting it on the gas lift of the chair

This was a waste of money. It fit but is not functional at all. My chair down no go up or down or recline back. Instead I now have to sit at an incline where it almost feels like I’m falling forward on the chair. Super uncomfortable.
