Really helped when my mom broke her hip.
My mother had dementia. She would generally just move around constantly. She fell and broke her hip and was then confined to a wheelchair. This was great. It gave her something to fidget with. It kept her hands busy. She bit it a lot but It stayed together really well. I didn't have to worry about her chocking on pieces. I wish I'd have found this while she was in the hospital. I can definitely recommend it

Great for ASD too
My daughter is 5 and likes to fidget with things. This keeps her engaged while giving her textures, and enjoyment. She has Down Syndrome and ASD, so having a dual diagnosis it is not easy to find her toys to play with. She has a great time with this instead. I am so glad I found this and is a great value.

It kept my mom busy the short time she used it. Seemed very durable.

It worked for a little while
Mom seemed to like them in the earlier stages of Alzheimer's. It kept her hands busy so that she wasn't grabbing at other things she wasn't supposed to grab. Kept her focused for a little while. Soft and held to her wheelchair okay. Was able to hook to others just like this one to create a longer chain. Not very big.

Wonderful sensory aid
I gave this to my mom, who is in latter stages of Alzheimer's. She is always touching different textures and moving things around. She needs sensory aids. I fastened it around the arm to her wheelchair. She utilized it. She slid the beads and rubbed the lace. It is a very good buy.

Great for dementia care.
I bought this sensory toy for my Aunt who has dementia. She loves it. She can use it open as a little play mat, or it can be put around her wrist as a bracelet she can play around with and not drop or lose it. It has a lot of little things on it that keep her attention like ribbon, beads, buttons, heart poppers, and stretchy rings.
