Wow! Super easy to use. Very efficient! I did get some binding when I tried to push the meat really hard into the hopper - that's on me as I learn how to use it. Grind was perfect (pork) with the medium plate. Made Ground pork to put into stir fry minutes after it showed up. It was awesome!

This is purely an unboxing review as I just got this gvode grinder today and haven't used it yet. Sausage tubes: I was a little curious when ordering what sausage tubes it would come with as the description states only 2, but the picture showed 3. I am not a sausage maker (yet) but was ok with the two if that's what it ended up being. To my surprise, I received a 3rd one just like the photo... not sure if this is by design or not because even the box it came in says 2 stuffing tubes. G1705 is the only model number I could find on the box for what it's worth. The diameters of the tubes do not match what the description stated however. The description mentioned .45 and .68 inch diameters. What I received are .55, .70, and .93 - not sure how important that is but figured I'd mention it. My only partial complaint is that the ends of the tube may be a little sharp - not horrible by any means but you may want to be careful not to get scratched... not sure if they would actually cut a finger - you'd have to try pretty hard to get cut I think. Definitely going to want to wash them prior to first use as the insides don't seem to be as polished as the outsides. The brush included has pretty soft bristles and will likely be useless... not sure I'll keep it because I don't see it actually cleaning anything off but I didn't order this for the brush. Remember this thing is not dishwasher safe - hand wash only. The casting of the chute and auger look good and have a sold feel to them with decent weight. The 4 plates and 2 cutting knives/blades seem to be of a suitable quality and sharpness as well. The tray for the top of the chute seem reasonable also. It does not have a super tight fit to the chute so if you're expecting it to friction fit into place wherever you leave it... adjust your expectation. It's not a sloppy fit, but I would expect it to turn / rotate a little if you bump it while using it. It feels durable and up to the task it's intended for though. Overall I'm happy so far. Will update if it turns out to be a dud but I'd say 5-stars based on quality at a just under $30 price tag.

I've been using my 40-year old KitchenAid and grinder attachment to grind meat for sausages, and needed a fine hole plate (2-3mm) for bratwurst. I only had a 5-6mm hole plate, and a new actual KitchenAid fine hole plate will set you back 30 or 40 clams. I just hate the large-hole-double-grinding mess - if you know, you know. And most of the cheap off-brand plates will not fit my original KitchenAid. So, I decided to buy this entire grinder attachment for 38 dollars. Short story, it works great! I just used its 2.5mm hole plate for a nice fine grind - my old 300-watt KitchenAid slowed down a bit, but powered through. Tips: the plates, blades, auger drive shaft, and top tray are nice stainless steel. The main body, augur fin, and big lock nut are cast aluminum. So duh, don't wash those aluminum parts in your dishwasher. And remove the top tray to push down those last bits all the way to the auger. The blade and plate are slightly loose, but that didn't create any problems. The included brush is a nice touch but could be a little more robust. All in all, I'm happy with this product. 38 bucks!

Good product. Says what it does, does what it says. The plunger for feeding it could be better. Also the cleaning brush is a joke. The grinder works great.

Great addition to my kitchen aide, it gets the job done!!! I have not bought any ground beef at the market since I purchased this grinder, it’s aluminum, light and the only thing after grinding meat if you toss some ice cubes in the shaft to finish getting the beef out it will freeze the mechanism and won’t work. You have to manually take the remaining meat out. Other than that very satisfied with my purchase.

Was looking forward to getting this. Wanted to save some cash and not get a kitchen aid. Big mistake. I’ll start with it did come with lots of stuff. That was nice. Too bad I never got to use any of it. My first and only use was to grind corn. No meat. Just corn that I removed from the cob. Was all exited to start a family recipe that starts with grinding corn. I had planned on putting the kitchen aid to work since that’s what I bought it for. I just needed this attachment. The fit on the kitchen aid was good. Locked up great. No issues. Picked out the course cutting head so can say it was cutting too much since this was as course as it would go. Hate to see what fine would do. Started dumping the corn kernels in. Mine you, these were fresh off the cob. That was a pain in itself but it was fresh corn off the cob. Still in the milk. All seemed fine until I noticed the corn juice dripping into the dished area of the kitchen aid. That didn’t make any sense until I saw it was coming from the bowl lift mechanism. That’s when I looked harder. The liquid was passing through the grinder shaft and into my kitchen aid. I stopped right there. That can’t be good for my machine. I cleaned it up as best as I could short of dissembling the kitchen aid. I’ll be watching it closely and cleaning because it can’t be sanitary with juices going into the machine. I’m glad it was just corn I was grinding. Blood and meat would be horrible and definitely need to pull the machine apart to clean. Oh, another thing was cleaning it up. It’s not shiny silver anymore. I scrubbed in hot water, not the grinder head is gray. Overall a no go. Spend the money on a kitchen aid hey accessory. I have learned my lesson.

I love this meat grinder; it is easy to clean and put together. I am very happy with the quality and durabilaty
