No handles or large strap other than the back straps
It's not comfortable to carry off of your back because there are no handles other than the back straps. It also does not provide a large strap to put it over your shoulders. Overall I found it very uncomfortable to carry on and off my back. On the plus side, it does carry a large amount for its size.

This bag came in and I absolutely LOVE it. I got it in the red color. when opening up the box I remember thinking it was more vibrant and bright than in the pictures. I thought it would be more of a wine/burgundy color. it is in fact very much red. Zipping it up the material is sturdy and the zipper feels very substantial and thick. I felt very secure with the materials but its Fjall so I expected great quality. inside it opens up to two large compartments. I am using this bag for a week-long trip to Portland and since I will be doing a mix of hiking and city walking I wanted something other than a suitcase but bigger than a backpack with more versatility. this was the best decision I could have made. In the bag, I am able to fit the following (i use packing cubes / I did not use the compression function to see how it would fit before and after) 2 pairs of jeans 2 pairs of tights 2 long sleeve t-shirts / 3 short sleeve / 1 tank top 1 pair of teevas 1 pair of vans toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, leave on conditioner, body wash, lotion, etc) 1 thick rain jacket 1 pair of pajamas underwear and socks for 7 days i still had so much space in the bag for any shopping I would do during my trip as well and this was BEFORE I used the compression feature in the packing cubes. I am confident that my things still be secure in the bag, and that I will be confortable while wearing the bag as it does have padded shoulder straps along with handles to carry as a duffle as needed.
