ClapBox, A good cajon
This a good Cajon. The sound quality is fantastic. I don't know the weight capacity, so don't flop down on it. Will purchase the 20'' next time

Great choice for percussion
Bought this for my son because he wanted to start a band with his youth group. He is very pleased with the sound and quality. He loves that he can drop the snare with a lever. The size is perfect for a kid or an adult. My kid is about 5'9" right now. He loves it and the sound is better than normal box drums because of the change up with the snare and bass. Durable enough to withstand his little siblings, and comfortable enough for my sensory sensitive child.

Premium!
Premium quality, sounds amazing. Has both peruvian cajon and spanish cajon that you can change as desired. Love the darbuka and bongos are cool. Looks like it is handmade and well made. Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the darbuka side should have been next to the cajon instead of behind of it. Making it more difficult and uncomfortable to switch between them in mid play. Uploaded a vid of my bf changing from cajon to darbuka. The plain side should be the one behind the cajon instead. Overall its really good. I also like how you can tune the darbuka. This is def a premium cajon, 4 instruments in 1. Catches everyoneโs attention. A bit small to our taste but def portable. Clapbox, read my suggestion and put the darbuka next to the cajon for future models!

Definitely a good value for the money
I saw good and bad reviews so I was cautious when I received the clap box but for the money I have no complaints. The snares on the Cajon work well The Bongo side surprisingly has two different tones and the Djembe is pretty nice considering you're getting three instruments in one for the most part. I have tuned the jembe up and down and it actually does tune and I actually use this for some acoustic recordings in a project I'm involved with and so far so good. I inspected the inside as well as possible and it's obviously not a $500 custom-made Cajon but I do not have any complaints. I would buy it again

Quality control is terrible, I returned two and will not get another!
Crap and lies everywhere in product page, and then a bit of terrible design and construction. So, where to begin? Not oak, like the item name, not birch (like the descriptions lower down). The box/body (everything but Tapa) is some cheap fiberboard, or MDF at best. You can tell from the inside, which is unsealed. Well, unsealed except for the random paint splatters and drips inside -- some of which literally sealed the snare mechanism shut on my first order. I meant to return it and get a refund - apparently I clicked exchange, and another showed up a few days later. The second one's handle wasn't painted in place at least - but both had several other issues. The snare wires are randomly attached to spindle - bad angles, one was so bad the entire right hand strike zone has no snares in its zone behind the tappa - making left and right hand hits wildly different sound, with no method to fix without rebuilding snare mechanism. A dozen holes punched through the bottom fiberboard base, as each foot has three way over sized screws used to install them. Crooked feet too. Scratches everywhere - some actual scratches, some "blemishes" which seem to be inherent in the painting process on the fiberboard they used... so "blemish" may be the wrong term - just crappy finish and painting. The Tappa feels very cheap, and was also painted on (had to pry off to first, to try to tune the tappa, sinse stuck in so many places). They put screws in top corner areas they shouldn't have - which many makers do, but you can often just remove them. Problem here, is they painted the tapa after countersinking screws, and used screws with edges on them to hold tapa on -- and those just scratch the paint unevenly out of the countersink hole -- so removing any screws makes the tapa look like trash from 20 feet away, not just up close. The snare adjust mechanism is a novel idea, but not executed well at all by them. Crooked mounted snares, and no thought given to distance of adjustability, versus where/when in the adjustment snares first make contact. The one picture of the knob is showing you where the snares contact the tapa - at almost the bottom/end of adjustment zone. Most of the rest of the adjustment zone, apparently exists only to bend the snares so far back on themselves that they deform and likely pop the weld lines in weeks, maybe days. Also the snares i received are bent wildly, and make noise even when the system is "off." Lots more I could say - but I'll just go with DON'T BUY THIS. BUY ALMOST ANYTHING ELSE. If you bought this, and think you like it - consider returning it and know that $70 cajons are often as good and better (versus $150 for this trash). $150 from a woodworker or reputable company should get you a lot more quality, and perhaps an instrument that actually lasts, and actually sounds good.

The shoulder strap it loose-goose
Aside from the likely scenario where your Clapbox Travel Cajembe will come off of the strap peg and break into pieces when it hits the ground, it is a useful percussive instrument.

A lot of sound variety!
This cajon is incredibly awesome. each side has it's own type of sound, and you can even mix them up by playing two surfaces together. I am a guitaristand don't know how to play the drums. If you can keep a basic beat and keep time you will sound great on this.

Good sound, light to handle
Great sound, light to handle! I recently bought this Clapbox and I'm really impressed! It's lightweight, well-built, and feels like good quality. What I love most is how easy it is to play โ even with minimal effort, you get a nice crisp sound. It blends beautifully when played along with other tracks, making jamming super fun. Definitely a great buy for beginners or anyone looking to enjoy rhythm without much complexity

amazing product
Perfect cajon for acoustic programmes. I bought it from Amazon because - Saw good reviews and went through videos in YouTube and found that this clapbox cajon is having a unique tone. Then I bought one in last month. Then last week my bandmate and an expert player on cajon, played it and immediately he asked me to order another piece for him. Reasons for it I am specifying below 1. Perfect balance between snare and kick (bass) tones (you should mic it properly) 2. Additional bushes are added at the bottom, which gives comfortable seating and height 3. It's unique height helps us to avoid back pain and stress even while playing for hours on stage 4. If you are not a dying fan of so-called brands, why you should waste money on them? This is affordable for a layman and it is giving better quality of sound than those branded ones 5. for this price, u won't get a better cajon So go for it guys....I am giving 5 out of 5 for it from my experience...

5 star for sound and look...2 star for how it has been built
..first and foremost ..received perfect piece with no damage...an easy percussion instrument to play for someone with natural understanding of beats...bass is good...good for jamming...the only point worth mentioning is about its fabrication, that it's a veneer of beech or oak and not natural wood. Difference being veneers are a thin slice natural wood 1mm pasted on plywood 4mm , whereas had it been natural wood entire 5mm wood have been wood with no ply. Also the internal woodwork could have been better.Clapbox could have used full length of wood to fix veneer instead of shorter wood pieces. Anyways externally the looks are rugged and sound is great
