I’ve been eyeing magnetic grips with shutter releases for my iPhone 16 Pro Max for a while since I haven’t been able to master the art of holding the phone at a precarious angle and taking a photo without dropping it. I’ve been eyeing other brands and decided that I’d try Ulanzi again, which has made some tripods/phone mounts that I rather like and have worked well. Setup was virtually a non-issue. Pairing with my phone took less than a minute, and I could slap my phone on and be ready to take photos. Keep in mind that this is just a shutter releases and does not zoom, which is fine. Nor does it change modes between video and photo. Remote is detachable and is charged via USB-C and automatically powers off. Very nice. It feels very nice nice in my hand, like I’m holding my Canon cameras. Weight wasn’t an issue coming from DSLR’s with heavy lenses, so this felt fine. Good build quality, but I would have really enjoyed a wrist strap attachment on this. For $20, this is a great product and I could have easily spent 4x this (or 20x this price for Leica’s) and it’s a great value and I have given some away as gifts already.

I needed something I could attach my iPhone 15 to a tripod without removing the case (and potentially weakening the case's materials), and so I began looking for MagSafe compatible tripod mounts. When I found that this had the most positive ratings, I decided to pull the trigger, and I'm glad I did; this grip by Ulanzi is quite a pleasure to use. The magnet is more than strong enough for my iPhone to attach itself to the grip, and it won't let go unless I detach it myself. Connecting the Bluetooth remote button took less than 15 seconds to pair with my phone, and once paired, it takes less than 3 seconds to connect. I do love that the remote button is detachable. Also, if you hold the button in, it does produce burst shots on the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, or 15 Pro. I haven't used the cold-shoe mount yet, though I do have some accessories in mind that I'd like to try with it. The picture quality is what you would expect from the phone itself, so the grip doesn't enhance or worsen what the phone is capable of producing, although the front mirror of the grip does make it easier to frame a selfie shot. The only downside: I've found that the grip and the stuff attached to it will fall over when a tabletop tripod is used, so to counter that, I recommend using a slide mount to readjust the center of gravity. Other than that, it's a great MagSafe compatible grip. I highly recommend it.

Product works well. I like the camera feel it gives to the phone. The holding magnet is a little too weak for my liking so I use the clips. The removable shutter button pod is held in place by a magnetic. It’s nice that you can remove it for pictures but a word of caution, it comes off very easy and it is very easy to loose or fall off. I lost mine just walking with it.

Very useful, very cool. The tripod threading is very important as well as the shoe attachment. I've found the reflective piece convenient for filming yourself and setting up shots. The camera grip is not slippery and slightly rubberized letting you get and keep a decent grip. It comes with a sticky magnetic attachment to simulate magsafe for phones that don't have it. The magnet on the grip is very strong, if you don't have a magsafe phone it also has fold out clamps to hold a phone in place.

I got thjs so I could use my smartphone as a secondary camera when out shooting with my digital slr. It's just not built for up and down usage, in my opinion. I'm sure it's great for selfies, but it struggled to connect regularly and for the magnet to hold when walking quickly or while riding in a vehicle.

This makes taking photos with my iPhone 15 pro so much easier, it handles very well and provides a much more stable grip. The Bluetooth remote connected easily with my phone, every time I turn on the remote it automatically reconnects, it has been working flawlessly. The magnetic hold is very strong, I am not concerned about my phone falling off, I appreciate that there are flip out grips to hold phones without MagSafe or if I go hiking or near water and want it even more sturdy. I appreciate the ability to connect this to a tripod, I plan on using this connected to a clamp mount to film my upcoming wedding since we opted out of hiring a videographer, it should work well enough to satisfy family and friends that could not attend. This was super handy for taking photos of the aurora borealis recently!

I have used it several times for its intended use – to give you the kind of control of videography or still photography that you would have with a normal camera. But for me the real bonus, the reason I used it quite literally ALL the time is accessibility/usability. I have a partially paralyzed right hand, which makes it very difficult to gracefully hold onto ANY cell phone since it takes one hand to hold the phone in the other to swipe or tap. Now, for the first time in my adult life,, I can easily hold onto my phone with my bad hand that has a tiny bit of gripping capability, enough that it goes right around the handle, leaving my good hand free to touch or tap! It's been quite the life changer for me. The magnetic grip is strong. And I find that the grip also makes it easy to lay the phone onto a countertop standing up in the horizontal position, so I can watch a video while preparing a meal.

I bouthg this mount for my iPhone for my trip to Disney, the idea was o make it more practical taking picture and video of my vacation. The goods: the magnet are very strong and the phone never falls, very nice grip in size, able to rotate the phone for portrait mode. very good pairing with my iPhone, very light. The main issue here is that the battery that powers this mount is very very small. Does not last even half day if keeps on all the time. So it has to turn on and off all the time so this became an inconvenience. The idea of the remote is good, but should b like separate internal battery for that and to keep the bluetooth connection another bigger battery maybe of the size of the grip or able to use AA batteries. Again very nice device with a major flow. I don't really recommend this product if you intended to use for your vacations, will run out battery in 2-3 hours max.

I use this a couple time a week for attaching to my phone and taking product shots. It's easy to use and has a lot of flexibility in positioning. The magnet is very strong and secures my phone perfectly. I've used the front magnet and cold shoe with an accessory light easily. Connecting to Bluetooth was a breeze. It's a perfect fit on all of my tripods and selfie sticks. It is excellent value and is easy to recommend.

Really great balance of price & features. Has both a strong MagSafe magnet & also clamp so can be used universally. Also comes with a stick on magnet ring if your case doesn’t have one. Light weight but not flimsy & comfortable to hold both horizontally or vertically. Comes with a hotshoe mount cover & tripod thread in base of grip & small selfie 🤳 mirror. The benefit of this design & why I bought it is that the grip extends beyond the phone. So unlike other phone grips, your palm is not resting on the screen. A wise design addition. Super easy to pair on first go. Easy operation. Hold shutter for 3 seconds to turn on & pair. Hold for 5 to turn off. So no accidental activation which is good. Set your phones volume up button to burst mode & the Sutter will do the same if you hold it. Some things to note: you need to use a very low power charger to charge other wise it won’t charge (eg if you use like a 30w laptop charger it won’t work). Also remote is held in place with magnets, which makes it easy to remove when you need, but also easy to remove when you don’t, so take care of slipping it into or out of a pocket or bag. Delivery was a little delayed
