Lifesaver!
This has been a lifesaver for me. I was non weight bearing for a few weeks following surgery and am still only partial weight bearing 6 weeks out. I'm probably going to be hobbling around with an open wound on my foot for at least a few more weeks. I have calcifications in both shoulders so crutches are really painful for me to use. A rental scooter through my insurance company was going to cost almost as much as a purchase so I decided to purchase a scooter. I chose upgrade to an all terrain model for comfort and stability. I called Knee Rover for advice on the best model scooter for me and they recommended the Quad Jr since I'm 5'2". I LOVE this scooter. It's extremely stable, the wheels have a comfortable ride since they're air filled and it's fairly compact. I teach at a college and can easily zoom around campus with no issues. I've taken this scooter shopping, for dinner, to hospitals and doctors appointments, etc. Once you get used to the wide turning radius, it's easy to get around. The brake works really well, though I wish it had a brake handle on each side, not just the right. It's easiest for me to place it in the back of our minivan but it does fold to fit in either a trunk or on the back seat of a compact car. I'll be honest, I'm not the most gentle on my scooter but it's held up perfectly and I've never lost my balance on it. The knee pad is a bit hard so I purchased the memory foam pad that was recommended. My knee was sore to start but now that I've been using it for two months, I'm used to the knee pressure and the pad helps so much. The only thing that disappointed me was that it did not come with a basket. I bought the one that's made by Knee Rover as it is removable and had a handle and it's worked perfectly. I made the mistake of popping out with crutches the other day cause I didn't want to be packing and unpacking a scooter in the rain. I regretted every second of that trip without my scooter. I can't recommend this enough!

Don’t hesitate if you have a foot injury!
Excellent scooter. I broke my foot two weeks before a big trip to Japan. I took this scooter and was able to navigate Tokyo Station, as well as buses with ease. This scooter is well built, and super smooth. I was not allowed to have any weight on my foot for 12 weeks, so this was a godsend. I did get the cheaper version for inside the house, but this sturdier version was great for all sorts of terrain. From pebble pathways to bumpy brick sidewalks this scooter handled it all!

Worth the money
After falling twice on crutches after foot surgery, this Kneerover scooter was worth every dollar. I haven’t fallen since using it. It doesn’t have the best turning radius but that’s to prevent it from tipping over while turning. It’s light enough to pick up as I scoot for turns in the kitchen and bathroom. I set my turns up early and I can get it through all doors without any problem. The brakes work fine but I have no plans on taking it on any hills. The adjustable handlebars come up to my waist (5’5) as they should. I’m glad I opted for the four wheels instead of three because of my balance issues. Back wheels are set in so they don’t get in the way while I’m scooting. It moves very smoothly and easily around the house. Also moves well over sidewalks, parking lots, gravel, my uneven patio without problems. I bought the memory foam padding which is more comfortable but it interferes with my balance so I took it off. The original seat is slightly concave so it’s more stable for balance. It’s still very comfortable without the extra pad. I didn’t get the basket but it would have been useful because you really need two full hand grips to keep safe.

A fun alternative to crutches that comes with a seat for breaks!!
I have a genetic disorder that causes hypermobility and frequent dislocation of just about any joint as well as many other injuries. I have extensive experience using crutches and other mobility devices following injuries and surgeries. My latest injury landed me in a walking boot about 2 weeks prior to attending a 3 day music festival so I knew I was going to need something other than crutches or a cane to assist me in getting around. I did hours of research on these as well as the rolling walkers before deciding to get the Knee Rover Quad Jr. *****I need to make it clear that I am a petite woman at exactly 5 ft. tall and just under 100lbs. This particular device is barely large enough for me height-wise with it adjusted to the tallest setting. If you are any taller than 5 ft. or purchasing this for a growing child who is already this height you should probably opt for the full-sized version.***** ☆☆If you are planning to go outdoors at any point while using this equipment I HIGHLY recommend getting the model with the off road wheels. I know I couldn't have done at least 95% of the activities that I was able to had I not opted to get those rugged wheels on my little hot rod!☆☆ Now for the details: ▪︎This scooter arrives in a box that is pretty heavy, so if you are the one needing the equipment you may need an extra pair of hands to help moving the box around and getting the main parts ready to assemble. ▪︎Assembly itself is not too difficult as most parts are pretty much preassembled and just need to be screwed together. ▪︎The handle bars can fold down towards the seat to help the scooter fit into a vehicle easily. ▪︎The kneepads could have more cushion, but I put a folded microfiber towel on it to provide more padding and to prevent my leg from sticking to the seat in the hot weather. ▪︎There is a handbrake that functions very well and also has a locking mechanism that I wouldn't fully rely on, but it is helpful. ▪︎The maneuverability of this device is somewhat limited, especially on rougher terrain. Sharp turns are impossible and turning around requires a 3-5 point turn depending on the conditions. ▪︎While using crutches uses a lot of upper body strength & stamina and can cause some irritation under your arms, using the scooter for long periods of time is a full body workout and can be quite exhausting, but the main advantage is that you always have your own personal seat with you everywhere you go! That definitely came in handy for me countless times at the music festival. My husband even pushed me on it when I could no longer scoot along. ♡♡Overall I highly recommend this as an addition to your mobility aides if you are able to withstand a fair amount of exertion to keep yourself rolling along. You may want to pencil in time for a few extra breaks, but when recovering that's not a bad idea anyway so from where I sit it all works out. ☆For comfort and ease of use I added a basket to my scooter and if I have to use it for another extended period of time I will add a cup holder. I also got a bike lock for when I had to leave it unattended out in public.

Sturdy stable smooth
When you can’t put weight on a foot or ankle the Knee Rover beats crutches or a walker. Very sturdy has a great brake. It has been very useful for me to get around on one floor of the house and from the car to an office or store.

A must for anyone with lower leg injuries - you won't be dissapointed!
Works great! Wife was skeptical as first but as she said, "Gives me my freedom." In Oct when she shattered her heel, I googled for the best way to get help while heeling. Most comments were to get a scooter...well, there's several types and with different tires. I did my homework right here on Amazon and found this little guy was the best for its size and handling. My wife is about 5'7" so I opted for the smallest version. Let me say, don't waste your time settling on a different scooter because it's time needed to heal. I bought my wife's scooter the same day because the doctor said the injury would take about 4-6 months to heal. The tires are wider and softer too. This is important when outside on pavement or inside when one transitions from carpet to tile and vice versa. Believe me because I bought a different scooter for the car (another great suggestion by an Amazon consumer comment) but this one has thin tires - similar to the ones on an old baby stroller. My wife knows the difference and the if you can afford two Quad Jr's, buy them. I made the mistake of buying the less expensive one for home and my wife tolerates it. Another tip, buy the sheepskin cover for the seat. It makes a world of difference on the knee and shin - plus you can sit on the seat as a chair too. We've taken the Quad Jr with us on the plane but had to have it placed in the belly of the plane. It's too big to fit in the overhead. I carried a bungie cord to tie the handle bar to the main frame and it worked perfectly. Lastly, buy a basket too....I imagine some would say that's too much money spent but if you're in my wife's situation looking at 4 - 6 months healing time, it's worth the investment too. Throw away those dangerous crutches and ride your way to health. Kids love to see it as do adults that are on crutches. Buyer we ware though, people will stop you to tell you their story and how they should've bought this little guy. He may be small in frame but is tall in toughness!

Perfect for 5'2" adult and comfortable to use
I had ankle surgery and couldn't find one that was small enough for me, as a 5'2" adult. Most of the medical supply stores were expensive and they hurt my other hip trying them out because they were not short enough to align my legs and hips properly. This one has all-terrain wheels which made it easy to go over bumps in concrete. Breaks were good too. My ortho recommended using an all-terrain tire, and they were right. Easy to assemble. If you have difficulty, you can go to the KneeRover website and there is a video, but you shouldn't need it. We had one question about the pin, and called KneeRover directly and their customer service was fantastic. Knee pad was very comfortable--much more so than the ones at the medical supply store. I didn't have any trouble with tipping over on it either, very sturdy. Weight limit of 250 lbs.

Fantastic for a 5' tall adult!
I bought this scooter after reading lots of reviews in preparation for my foot surgery where I can't do any weight bearing for 5 weeks. I love it! I am 5 feet tall and about 112 lbs and found this scooter to be the perfect fit. I am also in pretty good shape, which means that the small turn radius that I read about is easy to manage because I can easily pick up the front and move it. I love the all terrain wheels and have been in my house, cement, gravel, and grass easily. I had an issue trying to get through rocks, but I was just able to pick up the scooter and move forward safely so it really wasn't an issue for me. The first time I added air to the tires I filled them up way too much (70 psi) and it was so fun because the scooter moved really fast, but I took the air out to 35psi for safety. I did fall one time with it, but I think it was user error and not the scooters fault, and I have fallen with my crutches a few times too, so it is probably me. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't come with a little basket like the other scooters. I highly recommend this scooter and will use it next year when I have my other foot fixed.

good on slopes and rough terrain
I looked at a lot of knee scooters before choosing this one. I read a lot about how unstable they are over the tiniest pebble so I selected this one with pneumatic tires and I was not disappointed. It was easy to assemble the seat and handlebar but the brake wasn't working at all and it was very hard to adjust because there is no room for fingers where the adjustment screw and spring are. Even then after getting the brake to work I couldn't get the brake lock to work. It has a very wide turn radius but I think it is designed that way to prevent tip overs. The wheels smoothly go over bumps inside and outside. pros very easy to assemble (except brakes) good for smaller people really easy to fold to put into a car pretty fun to ride cons it wasn't clear to me before it arrived, but the kneerover all terrain junior does NOT come with a basket. the brakes require some effort to make them work only one brake lever

Life changing
This product has allowed me to change my life and give me my independence back. I've not had use of my left leg due to a medical condition for 2 1/2 years. So I've been left on crutches or in a wheelchair. This has allows me to move about with ease both inside and outside. Allowed me to walk my dog independently for the first time. It's almost like walking. I recommend this type of knee scooter as the wheels (pumped with air) allow you to go over bumps and pebbles without you being flung about. I would NOT recommend one that has solid wheels because you'll hurt yourself more when you do hit the smallest stone. It is correct you can use on all terrains tested and tried. Hallelujah. It has honestly changed my life, and allowed me to live again.

Well made
Very sturdy and good quality. Instructions easy to understand and useful for assembly. Larger wheels great on uneven terrain outdoors. Deducted one star as it is a bit pricey.
