The main body of the trimmer gives one a feel of quality and durability. It charges up fast and is not loud. It feels good in the hand. There are a ton of attachments but I only find myself using four. One of the attachments has an adjusting lever so you can trim at various lengths. The foil shaving attachment could be larger but is suitable for shaving small areas like around a mustache. The combs identifying numbers/sizes could be more obvious on the pieces but it’s identifiable. One annoying thing is that the various plastic attachments do not all snap on and off in exactly the same way so you have to be careful lest you risk potential premature wear or breakage if you do it wrong. Someone with oversized or thick fingers may possibly have a little difficulty navigating some of the smaller attachments. Overall I am very pleased with the trimmer which makes quick work of my trimming. It’s new now, so I hope it holds up. I do LOVE the five year warranty, which also extends an additional six months if you register it online.

This is by far the best trimmer I’ve purchased so far. We have had 6 over the years and all work just so-so. This one is a great quality, has lots of trim options, feels good in your hand, is easy to use and works amazing.

Replaced an Andrus after the battery finally gave out and the company wanted $30 to replace battery. Good quality'; well built. Many options - I only use a few. Works well; changing pieces can be a little arduous, but once you get the hang of it, not too bad. Have used it several weeks and haven't had to recharge it yet.

Hold a charge, vast assortment of tools & ease of use… what more could you want?!? I regularly trim my facial, head and body hair with this one magical trimmer and honestly don’t know how I managed it before. Eyebrows? There’s an attachment. Nose hair? Yep, that too. All waterproof and interchangeable. Is it perfect? No. Is it better than the others I’ve bought in the last few years? Infinitely, yes!

This trimmer does it all and does it well. The battery last for weeks on a single charge. It is quiet and being waterproof makes cleanup fast and easy. Just rinse it off. The nose hair trimmer works well. The body trimmer works better than any other trimmer I’ve used for my manscaping needs. The detail trimmer works as expected and the adjustable guard works great and is fast and easy to use. Also use the bare trimmer for weekends when I don’t want to shave with a blade.

I'll cut right to the chase: This is not the best trimmer Philips Norelco makes. The best one is the Philips Norelco Multigroom MG3750, which is about $40 cheaper than this one. I have owned several Philips Norelco trimmers including this one and the MG3750. While the full-metal build quality of this unit is unquestionably better, the motor of this trimmer is clearly weaker. Simply turning on both trimmers and listening to their motors reveals that this trimmer's motor is not as powerful as the one on the MG3750. I experienced quite a few hair pulls on this trimmer which verified the weaker motor. The only advantage to the weaker motor is that the trimmer is quieter, and it probably helps provide the longer advertised battery life, but beard trimming takes twice as long and hairs are often missed. The MG3750 makes quick work of my beard every time. Yes, it is louder and has shorter battery life, but it's so much more powerful. The only other potential advantage to purchasing this trimmer over the cheaper 3000 series Multigroom is that Philips provides many more attachments with this higher-end trimmer. You get a body hair trimmer, a small foil shaver, a few extra guards, and a small storage bag. But here's the thing: I use a grand total of two guards for my beard and have used those same two guards for years. The additional attachments are not actually a value add for me. Where the real value comes is in the quality of the trimmer itself, and in practical use, it just doesn't deliver.

I've had many different trimmers in the past and this one is so far BY FAR the BEST I've ever used. It's precise, it cuts very well, and trims very close to the skin. My facial hair has gone through many changes over the years but always with some kind of mustache + at least a goatee, usually more. This makes everything look nice, trim, and neat. No weird stragglers that didn't get cut as you went by. So nice clean straight lines where you trimmed. I haven't tried it yet on the nether regions but I'm sure it'll do a fine job. Do be careful though because I did nick myself when trimming my underarms without the guard. I highly recommend the 9000-21

It's definitely not in over $100 range. All the sizes are pretty small and very close to each other. If you have a medium to long beard, this is not for you.
