Perfect to store my Tide pods!
This sucker is HUGE! It's perfect!First, it came in an extremely thick box with inserts that don't allow the jar to move inside the box. That box was then put into another box just slightly bigger - enough for it to close and some additional stuffing so that the smaller box couldn't move the 2 inches of room it had inside that box. It was very well taped too. So my item came fully intact and not broken.Okay... now about the product. I got the 1.5 gallon jar to put my Tide pods inside. I'm in the process of remodeling my laundry room and just like everyone else and their momma I have a farmhouse theme going on (I'm like 10 years late to the game, I know).I managed to fit 96 pods from one Tide container and about 25-30 (I didn't count) from another almost empty Tide container. Minus one that bounced out and behind my dryer (bummer, but it was a cool bounce!). They JUST fit so that should give you an idea of how many Tide pods this 1.5 gallon sucker can hold. The jar is VERY heavy so make sure whatever you're putting the jar on is sturdy. I'm worried about my current sitch, but it will hopefully make it another week until we get the new shelves up. But I digress...The lid fit on snuggly and you can feel a seal. It doesn't just lie on the jar loosely. Even with 120 pods in it. The glass did have a couple bubbles in it... maybe like 5, but that doesn't bother me. Seems like thick glass and well made. It is perfect for what I need it for.I highly recommend for pods. Now, if you buy smaller amounts of pods (40, 72, etc.) the 1.5 gallon will be too large and I'd size down accordingly. I'd say the 72 pods would fit comfortably in the 1 gallon, but that's just a guess based on 120 pods in the 1.5 gallon.Go for it!P.S. - don't judge my dirty shelf

Love this jar!
I recently replaced my cabinets in the laundry room with open shelves so I purchased this jar to hold my dryer balls. It looks to pretty! I have both gray and white dryer balls in it- 12 all together and there is extra room in the 1.5 gallon jar. I love it but I thought it was a bit pricey! Very good quality! Could be used for so many different things!

Sturdy, Nice Looking Storage
Best value for the size and strength of this glass jar. It took me several tries to find the right size and style of jars. This one won! I would prefer a wooden, press on lid with silicone seal, however, it was impossible to find in the size and durability I wanted. This jar, I can say, will fit a 10# bag of granulated sugar or brown sugar quite comfortably. 👍🏻These are heavy, but well made and sturdy. The lid seals pretty well, but we'll see how airtight it is over time. Black matte lids are nice looking. These jars are also made in the US for over 100 years. 😉👍🏻

Heavy, quality glass
Handsome canister. Lovely enough to stay on the counter top. We have three of these which hold sugar, flour and oatmeal. The matte black lids match our kitchen hardware

Perfect size, but with flaws
This is the perfect size for a 6lb bag of cat food. It fills right to the top, and even had room for a scoop. We keep it on the kitchen counter, and it looks much better than a bag on the top of the fridge. The lid has an expensive look and feel to it, though it is scratchy to the touch, which I didn't expect. If you really care about the look of the glass itself, however, it's disappointing. You can see a dark, shaky line where they welded the bottom on, and the glass is full of very tiny air bubbles that have a texture to them. I'm also not convinced it's fully airtight. There is a silicone seal inside the lid, but it feels a little too easy to get the lid off. If you're using it for stuff you go through more quickly it's probably fine.
