Spin Master Games Barrel of Monkeys Classic Linking & Balancing Kids Game

What a great idea, combining the traditional Barrel of Monkeys game with "KerPlunk"! I have two grandchildren (ages 6 and 8), and they both enjoy this game. It's lively enough to keep their interest for two or three games at a time and the price was right.

I mean, it’s a bright yellow barrel of bright red monkeys. How can you go wrong?! The grands love playing with these! Pieces are easy to grasp for little hands, great to teach strategy, coordination and fine motor skills. Requires no batteries, makes no noise, doesn’t have questionable characters or hints of violence, no tie to social media, no screen time, just old fashioned use your imagination fun. Convenience of scooping them all back into the barrel for storage added in makes this a super inexpensive toy the grands have played with over and over and over. And it’s nice to see them having fun with something I had when I was little (which tells you just how long this game has been around- timeless).

Fun game for kids and adults - but it doesn’t include live monkeys. We bought for my daughter’s show and tell thinking it was live monkeys and we’d be able to train them to do math homework.

They are just the same as they were when I was a little girl. I have everybody in the house playing them it's a big laugh . Thank you.

This Barrel of Monkeys game is pure nostalgic joy! I bought it for family game night and it quickly became everyone’s favorite — kids and adults alike. The bright plastic monkeys feel just like the ones I played with as a kid, and linking their arms together to build the longest chain is ridiculously addictive.

This is NOT the original barrel full of monkeys game. Same concept and the monkeys look similar to the original toy but the monkeys arms are offset to the rest of the monkey. This makes them easier to pick up the other monkeys, but I don't believe the original toy was like this. I believe the monkeys would lay flat with the original set. They appear to be about the same size as the original monkey's, but these are much easier to pick up the other monkeys making it easier for the younger kids to use. It comes with 15 monkeys.

You can't go wrong with this classic. The barrel and the monkeys are well-made and provide plenty of entertainment. It’s a simple, nostalgic game that is still just as fun today as it was years ago.
