The Teton (outdoor gear) of small form factor psu's
I really liked my 350-watt PSU (I have two of them in my backup NAS systems for RAID arrays running on the main NAS), but I think I overloaded one and burned it out. Technically, it still works, but it smells awful, so I contacted support. Their response was amazingโthey sent me a new one right away. The support from this company is top-notch, and their products are affordable while performing their job well. Since I likely overloaded my 350-watt unit, I decided to upgrade to the 400-watt model to better handle my OpenMediaVault NAS server. My setup includes: - **CPU**: Intel i7-4770 - **RAM**: 16GB - **Networking**: 10Gb SFP+ NIC - **Storage**: 8ร 12TB HDDs + 2ร 220GB SSDs - **Cooling**: Noctua fans for both the case and CPU - **Motherboard**: A random Shenzhen Machinist board for Intel 1150 socket Since switching to the 400-watt PSU, it has been flawless. It hit the ground running and has powered my system 24/7 without a single issue. I run RAID arrays, virtual machines, and containers, and it's always connected to a UPS. I highly recommend this company and their productsโIโd consider them the **Teton** of small-form-factor PSUs. Apevia did a great job with this product, and their support is outstanding. I especially love the **modular design**, which keeps my NASโs internal cabling much cleaner. The PSU fan is **quiet**โI donโt even hear it. My Noctua fans (2ร 80mm for the case and 1ร 90mm for the CPU) are louder. Honestly, I wouldnโt bother replacing the PSU fan despite what some content creators suggestโthe gains are almost nonexistent. If youโre considering this PSU, **go for it!** Itโs an excellent value, and the company stands behind their products.

PSU threw every HDD in my system into fits until I got rid of it.
Built a NAS with it, used it for a month or two. It's running on a UPS, so I can see power usage, never above 90 watts. Yet this thing crapped out in the most annoying way: the system was operable, and my SSDs were fine, but HDDs would click/whir constantly and then eventually started throwing checksum errors. I swapped out drives thinking they were bad, but the new ones would do it too Swapped 3-4 drives and every cable with problems randomly cropping up until I finally swapped out the PSU with a cheap 300w I had sitting around, and suddenly all the old 'broken' hard drives are working brilliantly. I won't be using this brand again.

Works great on my Mini-ITX systems
I've had a few Apevia PSU's in the past in the budget sector, this one kind of falls into that sector when it comes to Mini-ITX power supplies. I would say that so far my biggest gripe on these Power supplies is the lack of a Power Switch on the PSU itself. Meaning that I have to unplug the PSU if I want it to not be powered. The power supplies have so far worked well on 24/7 workloads at around 30% load. The fans don't scream and the units don't get too hot. The fact that these are modular at this price point is really great. I would hope that they continue to provide these power supplies as I Plan to build more systems with these units.

Solid low budget
Works great and has connectors for a non gaming desktop Doesn't have enough power to run a midsized graphics card like a 1650 or better, more like a 1050 2gb type of card or lower or integrated graphics

Apevia 14-Pin ATX PSU Connector Pinout
I bought this for use with an AMD BC-250 mining blade repurposed. I couldn't find a pinout of the 14-pin ATX connector, so I manually traced the pins. See picture for pinout. Note: Several of the pins of the Apevia 14 pin connector go to more than one pin on the 24-Pin ATX cable. Connecting pin 14 to pin 8 through a switch should allow the PSU to be powered on and off.

Not designed according to standards
Reviewing the 400w Apevia PSU on a 200w system: - Graphics card constantly turns off under full load. - When running hot, the fan will be barely active and then ramp to 100% for 10 seconds before returning to normal. This is very loud. - Trying to pull out the ATX cable is like pulling a molar. I have to hold down the motherboard to prevent excessive bending. - Not 80+ rated at all. I was sent another unit after the first was unusable. I have used the second unit for a year now. None of these issues are present on my other extremely budget 80+ rated power supply. Overall, this is a terrible product.

It works, but I wouldn't rely on it...
Pros -Quiet -Decent modular connectivity -Cheap -Cable length Cons -Not 80 plus certified -Tight fit in small ITX cases -Can't handle really low loads -Cheap Bought this to power a Minisforum BD795i SE and live inside a 3.8L case. The size complaint would be my use case, however this unit kept resetting on me because that motherboard setup uses maybe 1 watt at idle. Ended up going with a higher tier brand PSU that is 80+ Gold certified... Tested it out on a 11400+2060 setup and it pushed 300 watts no problems. Fan is pretty quiet close to full load too. I'll keep this PSU around for "test" purposes, but you get what you pay for.

Works very well and quiet
I used this in a media-centre PC and it's efficient and quiet. I did initially have a problem with one of the power cables but I contacted support and they sent me a new cable within 1 week.
