Sumnacon Multimeter 4mm Banana Plug to Alligator Clip with Wires,2PCS,1M

I had purchased a small bench test power supply on here and while the power supply is great, the leads provided with it were sub-par. Enter the Subnacon test leads as the replacement that fit the bill for my piddling projects!I have found these leads to be a great value for the money! The banana end makes a solid connection / fits properly and the jaw end grips firmly and functions as expected. The insulation jacket seems to be of a durable material that will hold up over time yet is flexible enough to be easy to use.Overall happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great set of bench test leads.

Along with build quality, my main criterion for alligator style leads is whether or not anything about their design creates an unnecessary risk of shock, such as if too much of the conductor is close to where you need to handle it to place and remove the leads, which can be very dangerous. I’ve gotten shocked in the past because of that issue with other alligator leads. These do not have that issue, and the build quality is very good.I use these on the input and output terminals of Allen Bradley 525 VFD‘s. On the 525, the terminal screws have just enough of a gap that these leads can get a good bite without slipping off, and the bite strength is reasonable.

Plug in easily to my multimeter and clips are sturdy. Cords are long enough. A necessary addition for electronics work along with probe cords.

These are great leads! I wanted a decent set that wouldn't pull apart with normal use. These feel heavy duty, the wire gauge seems heavy, an they're very flexible. The ends are nice and sturdy, I like the stackable banana plug. They insert solidly, but don't get stuck. I also bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077PXL8TT. I was looking for another brand, but kept landing on Sumnacon in the reviews. Happy to have both. (Wrote pretty much this same thing for the other set.)

We used these to set up an electrolysis tank to clean cast iron. They worked great with the DC unit to control voltage and current.

Lets understand one thing before we review this: if you think this cliplead set will handle 15 amps continuous, you are COMPLETELY milking without the proverbial bucket. At 15 amps continuous you will be looking at a mass of molten plastic and smoking copper in about a minute and a half. But, with that caveat in place, these are actually pretty good clips that will do 5-7 amps all day long and with a decent I/R curve. The alligator clips have a good, stiff spring that bites hard and holds on with great tenacity. The wire is thick enough to handle some current but without being stiff or torquey (is that a even a word? Lol). I like them enough that I went back an purchased some more.So. If you need a good 5-7 amp continuous cliplead, these are pretty good! But unless you are only testing for a few seconds, running 15 amps through them will eventually result in molten plastic. Purchase and use accordingly.

Nice thick wire that is still flexible and easy to position. The wire coating feels sort of soft to the touch and feels like good quality. The clips feel nice and beefy with a good, solid quality feel.Overall a great purchase!

These cables plug into my PYRAMID 12V regulated power supply to test my 1980’s and1990’DYNATAC 8000 phones which I sell on Ebay under Claim it America. The one in the video is a model 8000M from 1992 with only 792 cumulative minutes. These cables let me safely awaken an over 30 year old cell phone. Well worth the money. They are easy open clips but firmly grab the contacts on the back of the phone. The banana plugs fit firmly in the sockets on the power supply.
