Worked very well and lifted evenly, even mixed at a 1:3 ratio. My hair was box dyed brown (but appeared black) and after ColorOops didn’t budge it, I turned to bleach so I could correct to a lighter shade. Keep in mind, it lifted the dark color much quicker than I anticipated. I went from a level 3 to a level 9 in about 12 minutes, even at the diluted ratio. So the “extra strength” is legit. 😂 There was minimal damage to my hair. Just make sure to keep a close watch on how quickly it’s lifting. I had expected it to take much longer, since years ago it took a good 50 minutes to get my hair the same level of lift. If I hadn’t checked it early when I did, the outcome could have been bad.

Achieved my best at-home bleach results using Clairol Professional BW2 with the matching 20-volume developer. I used to think a higher-volume developer meant better or faster results, but for my hair, a lower-volume developer combined with patience gave me much better results and left my hair feeling healthier. I mixed mine at a 1:2 powder-to-developer ratio (the instructions recommend a different ratio, but this worked well for me). I covered my hair with a shower cap to help keep the product from drying out and monitored it throughout the process. Taking my time instead of rushing with a stronger developer made a noticeable difference in both the lift and the condition of my hair.

I was blond to begin with. I colored my hair pink and then red. I wanted to be blonde again with no red. This product did an admirable job of getting me 90% there. Get the tub, unless you have really short hair, and don’t forget the #20 developer. I used 3 scoops (3 oz) of powdered bleach and 6 scoops (6 oz) of developer. I already had a bowl, applicator brush, mixing tool, gloves, coloring comb, plastic clips, shower cap, and cape. If you don’t have these things then you may want to get them because this is not an all-in-one kit. The scoop is in the tub. The powder mixes easily and completely with the developer leaving no chunks. The mixture was thick and creamy, not thin and drippy. Pros and cons: It stayed in place on my head; however, I needed to use more than anticipated. I wanted to get the red out of my hair. I’d already tried hair color remover (twice) and clarifying shampoo (thrice) with zero results. Bleaching was the final option. And it worked as can be seen from my before (red) and after (strawberry blonde) photos. I used a deep moisturizing conditioner in the shower and kept it in for 5 minutes before rinsing, and the final rinse was with cold water. I used a generous amount of bonding stay-on-conditioner when I got out of the shower after I towel-dried my hair. As the result, my hair felt soft, not at all like straw, which could have been the result, since I colored it earlier the same day a honey blonde (golden) shade that came out red. The next day, I colored the roots, which bleached out white, a #9.5 medium ash blonde, and the base, which bleached out yellow, a demi-permanent, slightly lighter ash blonde. (The natural color of my roots is white.) The final picture shows the end result with no red. Two weeks later, no red has returned. Bottom line: The bleach is a great product, but it might leave some brassiness behind if you have any red tones. You may not know you have red tones… Just know it isn’t the bleach turning your hair red.

It lifted quite a few shades and mind you, I have very dark brown hair! I'd say it's pretty close to black. My hair is damn near blonde after only 2 rounds of bleaching. The most recent section only has been bleached once and it lifted so much!

I really like the Clairol Professional BW2+ Extra Strength Powder Lightener. It lifts the hair well and works great for highlights and lightening. The formula is easy to mix and gives good results when used properly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a professional-quality lightener

Love this works perfectly and no copper look to it as long as you use like a shimmering white shampoo or any kind of purple shampoo that supports that another one is not your mother’s moment

This lifts really well. I keep my hair an icy white/ silver color, and other bleaches took me 3 lifts to get there. This i can do two lifts w/ 20 vol developer before toning and it is not nearly as damaging as the last bleach i bought. Naturally mousy blondish brown.

First time using this bleach but finally had a positive experience doing some baby lights on a closure. Admittedly maybe the hair was easier to bleach as some just tend to turn brassy no matter how many times you bleach. It’s the first white bleach I’ve tried and I used it with the 20vol clairol bleach and did it twice for the result then toned with some box dyes. I think it would be ideal if it came in bigger packs or the tubs that I commonly see online. Luckily I bought 3 packets but I used them all just on one 2x6 closure. Other than that I’m quite happy with the purchase.

Fantastic bleach. I used this with the matching developer on my daughter's roots and we found that it blended beautifully. There's almost no smell. I have used a lot of bleaching products and this is easily one of the best. We didn't need to keep it on for the full amount of time to get her naturally dark hair to a nice lemon yellow. I will be sticking with this stuff from now on.
