Great razor for the price.
I ordered the "Kiru" version of this razor and have had no issues. it came sharp and is easy to sharpen. Feels good in the hand and like its quality made. Per their official website the blade is "ACRM carbon steel" and has a hardness of "HRC 58-59", everything i can tell about this is true, so im not sure why some of the negative reviews say it sharpens poorly, is stainless steel, or wont hold an edge. None are true with the product i have. Great razor that will last 25+ years with proper care. For those interested i believe the blade is 5/8th thickness and looks to be a half hollow blade type with a blunt point/tip.

Very sharp
Very sharp right out of the box. I was able to cut paper into thin strips. I did wind up using a regular shaver for the rest of the stubble as I am a novice at this. Nonetheless, I will continue using it. IMHO, it's worth every penny.

Edgy results.
I was disappointed. The steel blade edge was sharpened inconsistently across the edge so that there were sharp and dull points on the same blade surface. I could not use a consistent pressure. It led me to nicks - ouch! The handle is not impressive and the box is eh. Great idea. Not well executed.

Straight razor
Bought this as a gift for my son that's going to school to become a barber. Items came well oiled and packaged

Good quality and beautiful but...
The razor seems to be well made, and both the wooden box and the razor itself are very beautiful, but I was expecting it to be sharper. I've now acquired a sharpener for the item, so that problem should be resolved once I sharpen it. I think that including sharpening instructions with the item would behelpful.

Well Crafted Straight Razor
Saki has engineered a fine example of craftsmanship. The handle seems solid as well as the blade it self , the Spine seems well placed. I am looking forward to putting this to good use, hopefully it will last through out my participation with this product. Only concern was at this price point of $79-$80, you would expect Saki to pay a bit more attention to detail by adding a leather straight razor holder. Instead Saki decided to envelope this master piece in a Plastic holder. By the way ( attached picture) our cheap plastic holder came with someones hair attached to it.(?)

It's sharp!
Came very sharp. Be careful. After cleaning the blade and a little work honing, it's now as sharp as a razor should be.
