As soon as it arrived put it to work on the farm. This thing is a beast. Heavier duty than my other ones costing much more. Let the extra weight in the blade do the work for you. Cleared out 50 feet off saplings and huge poke salad stalks in just a few minutes. The edge on the blade is holding up great. I used an butcher steel to fine tune the factory edge. Very happy with purchase and is excellent value. Highly recommended for heavy duty long lasting use.

very sturdy build, can easily handle heavy duty tasks. handle is semi comfortable, the texturized rubber is a little rough. also, combined with the weight of the blade it can be a little uncomfortable after a while of swinging. I recommend sanding the handle just a tad. sheath is just ok, not terrible or good just ok. it came with a functional edge. I didn’t have to sharpen it on a stone, just a few swipes of a nail file or a honing rod and it’ll be good to go.

i have property with a pond on it and a lot of crazy weeds love to grow around it. some of the weeds are almost like small trees and are pretty hard to deal with...a weed eater wont touch them and i cant poison them without getting poison in the pond. i have tried other machetes...basically the cheap ones like what harbor freight has. they wont hold an edge and they are very flimsy. well, this machete puts others to shame. the blade is full tang and pretty thick. it has a very good heft and goes thru stalks as thick as my thumb with ease. i use a mill file to sharpen it and it gets sharp quick and holds that edge surprisingly well. this is an excellent machete for weed whacking or taking hiking for clearing trails and self protection. highly recommend

Really good quality

Good weight, nice durable sheath, could have a longer strap and also a belt loop. The handle could be a little more rounded (fuller) with better shock resistance although did not run into any issues in tackling blackberries.

Not a good choice for the average person, looks good and solid but its heavy and all the weight is up front. Handle is a little short and doesnt extend past palm so its not great grip for hacking through shrubs and vines. Cant counter the front heaviness. More of a tactical item not so much a tool.

Perfect for cutting everything.

This machete was finished better overall than two Cold Steel machetes I purchased prior to it. I sharpen all my blades the way I like them before use but this blade came with a decent usable edge. I would buy this blade again, it should last years with proper care.
