Great Lightweight Mower โ Powerful Enough for Small to Medium Lawns!
Iโve been using the LawnMaster MEB1114K for a while now, and it has been a pleasant surprise. For a corded mower, the 11AMP motor delivers solid cutting power, and the 15โinch steel deck handles regular grass easily. Itโs lightweight, so maneuvering around tight corners, fences, and flower beds is simple โ definitely easier than heavier gas mowers. The height adjustment works smoothly, and the mower starts instantly with no hassle. I also appreciate that itโs environmentally friendly since thereโs no gas, oil, or battery charging to worry about. A couple of small drawbacks: the cord can be limiting depending on yard size, and very thick or wet grass may require a slower pace. But for typical suburban lawns, it performs very well. Overall, this mower offers excellent value for the price โ reliable, easy to use, and perfect for anyone who wants a simple electric mower without the maintenance of gas models. Solid 4.5 stars from me.

Worth trying if you want to have fun mowing
I had already purchased the cute 13โ mower from this company and wanted extra batteries. I could have purchased just the batteries and double charger, but it mad more sense to spend a few more dollars and get this larger mower with a side chute so that I could have both types and sizes. The smaller one has a basket, but not a side chute. Theyโre both incredibly lightweight and easy to use. This one weighs under thirty pounds. Itโs box was inside a larger Amazon shipping box which made it harder to get through my front door. I foolishly tried pulling it in, but it kept catching on the storm door. It would have been much easier to simply go around from the back of the house and push it in through the front door so that I could hold the storm door open. Lesson learned. I was able to lift the actual box for the mower. It has push in handles. Carefully lifting the mower out of the box was also fairly easy. And assembly just requires pulling the handles into position and tightening them. I decided to adjust the handle length so it was more comfortable. That might require a helper to hold it if a helper is available. I had to use my legs to hold it in place while I removed the bolts and reinserted them for the new handle length. The height needs to be adjusted so that you can easily move it because itโs set low for shipping. Thatโs simple with the handle designed for height adjustment. The little key has two prongs which need to be inserted all the way so it works properly. It makes a little clicking sound as it goes into place. The batteries might need to be used and recharged a few times before you can get an idea of how long theyโll last between charges. Itโs not reasonable to assume that anyone can mow a large yard in thirty or forty minutes, especially by hand. My yard is around half an acre and it takes hours to mow it by hand with a self-propelled gas mower. A battery powered push mower isnโt going to go faster than a self propelled mower. Youโll be able to mow as much as you can mow before the batteries need to be changed or recharged. If youโre a senior woman like me with chronic medical conditions that cause pain and weakness, chances are that you donโt really want to mow more than thirty or forty minutes without a break anyway. And not having to wrestle with a heavy gas mower is a huge relief. Pushing this mower is like pushing a vacuum. Itโs easy to move forward and easy to pull back toward you. Trying to pull a heavy self-propelled gas mower backwards is very difficult and painful for people in my situation. I have lots of bushes and other obstacles to mow around and I get exhausted trying to use my gas mower for this. When I used this nice, lightweight cordless mower, I didnโt get tired at all. I wanted to do a good comparison, so I used this one between two sessions of using the heavy gas mower. With the gas mower, I could only mow for around fifteen minutes before I started to feel like I might collapse. With this mower, I moved over thirty minutes and I actually started to wear out before the batteries did, but I was able to keep mowing until the batteries stopped without feeling like I might collapse any minute. I was able to do housework before and after mowing with this mower. Walking quickly, I mowed around 1/6 of an acre on one charge. Cleaning it is a breeze. Just position it on its side and use a brush with a long enough handle to protect your hands and arms from the blade. You can use a leaf blower on it before and after brushing grass loose, too, if one is handy. And you can put a damp cloth around the brush if you want to wash the residue off. It will probably work best with the side chute in place, but it might handle totally dry grass without the side chute if the grass isnโt terribly long. For a cordless mower under $200, this is a great bargain that could make yard work much less difficult. They have a 16โ size with a grass collection bag or basket if you donโt like the side chute style. I have a cordless Craftsman mower with more powerful batteries thatโs heavier and much more expensive. I canโt lift that one without hurting myself. This brand was recommended in many online articles as a good, lightweight mower for seniors and people with health conditions. After using it, I can see why. Buying extra batteries is a good idea, but I like having the two different sizes of mowers with batteries that can be shared. I can use this one for mowing and the 13โ size for trimming if I prefer to do that. I canโt usually mow the front and back on the same day anymore, so I donโt mind mowing the yard in stages. People canโt see my backyard unless theyโre trespassing because itโs surrounded by a fence, so itโs not a problem if it takes two or three days to finish my yard work. And itโs good exercise being able to mow by hand for half an hour at a time. Using this mower isnโt traumatic or painful. And itโs quiet enough to let me hear the birds singing while I mow. I have to wear layers of masks outdoors to avoid serious reactions to certain pollutants, and this mower doesnโt make me out of breath like wrestling with my heavy mower does. This one looks more like a fun mower. The 13โ one looks like a fun toy and itโs also fun to use. They will both make my yard work more pleasant. Iโll have to continue using my heavy gas mowers for areas with too many sticks and walnuts dropping from neighborsโ trees, but Iโll use the fun, lightweight ones whenever possible. Using them doesnโt feel like working. They feel like just having fun outdoors. And they can be stored indoors if necessary, especially over the winter. You canโt treat them roughly or youโll break them. They donโt need rough treatment. Theyโre designed so that people with weak hands can also use them safely and comfortably. People with health conditions can understand this. Men who want heavy duty tools cannot and they would be better off spending the extra money on heavy duty tools. Seniors and women who are tired of getting hurt while trying to mow the grass will probably be grateful for this mower. I certainly am. And when it eventually breaks, Iโll buy another one. Itโs much cheaper than having to pay someone else to do a crummy job mowing my lawn.

Battery electric lawn mowers have come a long way BUT this one cannot be trusted
UPDATE: After having a couple of good seasons cutting grass with this mower, I used it last week for the first time this year only to discover the batteries appear to have died -- they are only lasting about 5 minutes when fully charged (after less than 2 years of ownership and maybe 15-20 uses). I called Lawnmaster support and was told there's only a 1 year warranty on the batteries. Very, very disappointed in what was otherwise a good product. Instead of spending another $120+ on replacement batteries with such a poor warranty, I decided to order a Greenworks mower which comes with a 3 year battery warranty. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Way back in 2011 I bought a Black & Decker CM1836 36-Volt Cordless Lawn Mower (not from Amazon, but I got it for a steep discount and was eager to get rid of the smelly, difficult-to-start gas lawn mower I'd been using). Unfortunately, It was awful (it's discontinued now but strangely has good reviews on Amazon) -- poor power (couldn't cut through long or damp grass), and short run time. Plus it didn't have a removable battery, so I had to drag it into my house to re-charge (I didn't have a garage, and my shed didn't have power). Just a nightmare experience, and I ended up giving it away and went back to my stinky, smelly gas powered lawn mower. In 2016 I decided to give electric lawn mowers another shot, but this time I bought a corded one (a Greenworks 25112) from Amazon, as I'd recently used a corded grass trimmer and was quite pleased with the performance. The lawn mower was only $150 (although I had to spend another $40 for a 100' extension cord). This delivered the kind of performance I was hoping for in 2011 -- a quick instant start every time, ample power, and clean and quiet. I used it for 7+ years and was fine with it, but of course using the long extension cord was an annoyance -- untangling it, dragging it to one outlet for the back, then another for the front, having to always be conscious where it was to ensure I didn't run over it, then having to wrap it back up and put it away for next time. So when I saw this Lawnmaster on sale for under $250 (less than I'd paid for a much less capable model in 2011), I figured I'd give it another shot. And boy, am I glad I did. I've used it a half dozen times so far and it hasn't disappointed. It is significantly lighter than the corded electric lawn mower I was using, and along with no longer needing a cord it makes it a breeze to maneuver. It's had no issue cutting through longer or wet grass, and the battery has lasted for my entire yard. The batteries are removable, of course, and popping them in and out to charge is a breeze. I know there are more expensive, feature-laden models out there, but I can't think of anything else I'd want on this one for a standard yard. Very happy with this purchase.

Wish it worked better for my yard
When my son bought me this mower, I was hopeful I could manage my small yard myself. Iโm in my 60s and liked the idea of no gas or pull cord. It cuts nicely when the grass is short, and itโs fairly easy for me to push. The trouble starts when the grass gets even a bit longer. The mower bogs down, and the batteries feel like they drain too fast. Last week after a few rainy days, I had to stop halfway through and wait for a recharge, which dragged the job out and tired me more than I expected. For light, frequent mowing it works, but it hasnโt made yard work as simple as Iโd hoped.

Small Yard, I highly recommend
8/24/2026: UPDATE MY REVIEW: I have used the mower 3x now... no problems at all, none. I use the blower to clean it after Im done, super easy and the mower is sper lite... I continue to recommend. I have NEVER given a same day review in my life... I am tough as nails when it comes to buying stuff from Amazon, if i dont thnk it has value, it goes back ... well let me tell you, took me 15 mins to put together, no tools, my recommendation first things when you open the box, charge the batteries flashing = charging, I live in N. Cal, its 82degress at 8pm , i have a small - med front yard, this little mower did QUICK WORK, quieter than the gas mower, tiny thing at first i was like " toy " but once I used it I changed my mind quick, long batter life, easy to use, it works!!! Its super light, powerful I set mine to 5 casue I like a tall lawn... no smell , clean up was a snap and pne last thing... i did not set up the bag, i went over it twice and mulched it and it worked... I will post more after a few more times

Gets the job done for a small lawn
I have a smaller yard, and this works GREAT!!! I have used it several times now. I do not use the bag because my municipality doesn't pick up yard clippings more than once a year. I mow every 7 to 10 days on a middle setting. The only thing that I can complain about is that it doesn't work well if pulling it in reverse. It still cuts fine, but the rubber flap that keeps the grass from flying back at you is a bit long if you want to be able to pull the mower. It can be removed easily if you choose to, but I would at least recommend wearing eye protection if you take it off since it is there for a reason. It maneuvers easily and gets very close to the edges, so I have not had to weed whack at all! It is a light mower and easy to use. Basic maintenance like keeping it covered or in a dry spot when not in use and flipping it to the side to clean the debris from under it after use, and you should have a good mower for a long time. That being said... I DID get the 3-year warranty on it. I know from a past experience with a different company that electric corded mowers are VERY hard to get serviced, so if anything goes wrong, you basically have to replace it. At least this way, my investment will be guaranteed to last several years.

Certified Grass Hater
WILL CUT GRASS Only downside is needing to also buy a cable, I recommend a 14 gauge 100 ft outdoor extension cord (handles 13 amps / 1650W), not too heavy and plenty of length. This little goblin goes toe to toe with weeds and grass for as long as you're willing to push it. Need to mow an entire acre? Hope you don't feel like sleeping because this predator will EAT THAT GRASS FOR LUNCH. Little guy is a GOAT. Perfect for first time mower owners and little Timmy running a summer job. Infinite battery life, easy to assemble, and quiet enough that you dont need ear protection. I keep mine indoors for storage since I don't have a shed. No oil leaks (doesnt use any)! If you give it patience, it give you RESULTS. make sure the cord isn't getting run over, empty the bag often, sharpen the blade. In terms of maintainance, it really only needs blade sharpening. Not sure how much life the motor and drivetrain has but its so simple any repair shop ought to be able to fix er up if you dont have the tools. Grass? GONE Dead leaves? Also GONE Snakes? UNHARMED because I ran it at max height Imagine the little train that could, but as a lawn mower. If you need a mower because your HOA is bothering you, get this one. Pictures: about 440 gallons of grass in about 10 hours of mowing. Needed roughly 4 or 5 empties of the mower bag to fill a single trash bag (34 13 gallon bags total). Grass was ~10 tall and this thing WILL take it down with multiple passes and lots of care. Backyard was up to my waist, I had more issues with mosquitos than this thing ever gave me.

Good performance for the price
One reviewer likened the mower to a toy, and thatโs correct, although itโs a high functioning, high-quality lawnmowing toy. It cuts pretty well, is simple to operate, and charges fairly quickly. I got 40 minutes on the first charge, 39 on the second, and I think a bit less than that on the third. My mower came without a wingnut to secure the right side to the handle, near the rear right side tire. Other than that, itโs a pretty good deal, and it will probably pay for itself within a couple of mowings. If it last two years, Iโll be way ahead of the game.
