Does the opening size matter if I use reducers? 3/4 thread down to 1/2 thread

This Product could be a good candidate for you. Using a digital manometer I recorded my feed pressure at 14.7"H2O and outlet pressure at 6.2"H2O.

How do you adjust this to get 1/2 PSI gas out for low pressure grills?

You can not get 0.5 psi outlet pressure from this regulator. This regulator is designed to have a maximum inlet pressure of 0.5 psi and will provide pressure less then its input depending on what spring the regulator is equipped with.
