Bosch AXT Rapid 2200 Shredder

We are very pleased with are Bosch AXT Rapid 2200 shredder. Great value for the money, the Bosh Rapid 2200 shredder save us a lot of hard work in our garden as it is so easy to use, also we don`t have to worry what time of day we use it as it is not very noisy. The lead is lovely and long therefore we are not limited to where we use the Bosh Rapid 2200 shredder. another great feature of the Bosh 2200 shredder is it is very easy to move around the garden on its wheels. The quality of the Bosch rapid 2200 shredder is very good strong wheels, strong blades, easy to take apart and clean. Save a lot of room in the garden waste bin.

A little surprised that it didn’t come with an instruction manual but I’d had a shredder before so carried on. Initially not impressed with its abilities as I was feeding stuff in on the right hand side of the inlet, but switching to the other side and it was transformed ! Comfortably eats 40mm branches with a little effort from the operator to push it down. My one gripe is just how often it gets clogged up with leaves and twigs. It is very easy to open up and clean out, but the fact it is so easy suggests they expect it to get jammed frequently. Overall, fairly happy with it

Excellent - quieter & lighter than same model in 2021. Plenty of ooomph to cut twigs shrubs and tree branches. Def recommend for great garden shreddings and avoid trips to council tip.

My previous Bosch Shredder bought more than 20 years ago and was fantastic and but for not being able to get a replacement switch would have repaired it. This was a complete lemon. Didn’t pull the branches through, jammed 6 x in 20 minutes shredding and at one stage had smoke pouring out of it as it just frictioned against the branch. Sent it back. Bosch support was hopeless as well :-(

Really impressed by this shredder, it is quieter than I thought and makes a good even mulch . It takes the smaller branches so easily , in fact I was shocked how they disappeared in front of me ! Great garden tool addition .

This is my second of these. The last one lasted maybe 10 years and 4-5 shredding sessions per year, so maybe 100 hours. I sharpened the blade at least every year, but only replaced it once, so pretty ok on consumables. It's effective, shredding branches up to 3.5cm at a push and dealing well with foliage if it's part of the branch. But it can get blocked, and when it does, it's a 3 minute job to open it, clear the block and put it back.

This is just a brilliant piece of equipment. It does exactly as it says it does. The amount of clearing we've done with it.

It works as expected. I am having trouble with larger circumference items, so I’m not sure it works well at the highest level that it advertises. It gets blocked quite often.

Tried it for a few hours, so far it's great, getting use to how much can fit in at once, as someone who loves shoving loads in at once, need to take time putting stuff in it. Chops it up to a nice size.
