Leak issue figured out.
Lid is a bit flimsy, and was bent upon arrival as others have experienced. I agree, needs to be shipped in a box. Lid was easily fixed, however, so no problem. The leak issue I've figured out: when filling your container for this lid, fill only high enough to barely reach the bottom of the pour spout once the lid is in place. I'm sure someone with a better education than I could give you the technical term for this issue, but it seems there needs to be enough air space in the jar when using this pour spout so it doesn't try to pull air from elsewhere, causing the leak (I think this is the issue).Other than that, it works great. I use it to dispense liquid oils that I use daily.

has a tendency to leak at base where it is ...
has a tendency to leak at base where it is fitted into cap so , when liquid is low enough to sit on t's side it leaks at the base.
