Great Quality and Truly Nonstick, but Quite Heavy
This pan heats up very quickly and is genuinely nonstick, which makes cooking and cleaning really easy. The overall quality feels excellent and very sturdy. My only complaint is the weight—it’s noticeably heavier than a regular nonstick pan, so it can be a little tiring to handle, especially when the pan is full. Other than that, I’m very happy with it.

Nice and not nice, depending on your needs.
Updated Review 8/330/24: Gave 1 more star and WOULD definitely recommend this Wok. Changed the way I felt about how this Wok functioned after using BUTTER instead of olive oil. I made Fideo. Onions went golden very nicely, Fideo noodles browned up by the time they were sautéed. Took very little time to toast chili powder when added to sautéed noodles, also, the alternating addition of tomato sauce and chicken broth needed the heat raised and lowered over and over. The Wok Changed with the heat changes instantly. Also, that is the double fire ring "hot burner" on my gas stove. I was able to hold that long handle the entire time and it was cold under my bare hand the entire time. This is now my favorite Wok for making Fideo. I will not use olive oil again in the Wok. I added the picture of the shrimp I did the first time, in olive oil, that did not brown at all. So, now, the only Con is the lid. Original review: The pros: 1. The wok is very pretty. 2. It functions like a pan at medium heat. 3. The handles stay cool. 4. It cleans up well, with careful effort. I saw "scratch marks" where I stirred around in bottom portion of the wok, making the "dot clad" design disappear. I thought that was awful on the first use. When I rubbed more, with a soft and soapy, good sponge, the design reappeared. So, obviously, you need to wash it gently and firmly to remove food and oil from the design indentations. 5. It is large enough to cook a portion for a family. The Cons: 1. The Wok is not going to function as a wok for stirfry at that heat. It did not get hot enough to put a sear on large, dried off, shrimp, at medium heat. I used a small amount of olive oil. I think it would do better with Avocado or vegtable oil. 2. You have to give attention to thorough washing to get everything out of the design indentation. 3. The LID is Miserable to wash. Like the other wok I bought at the same time, water AND soap gets into the channel of the lid and is TRAPPED there. You have to run more water over the glass until the soap disappears from the channel where glass and metal are indented, then, once the soap is gone, you have to spend a fair amount of time with a dry paper towel, pressing the towel firmly at the seam of glass and metal, on the top of the lid, until you get all the water absorbed by the paper towel. The water doesn't "shake" out. It doesn't dribble out standing upright because, of course, it is stuck in that channel. You can turn the lid and whe puddle if water simply rolls with the lid and settles as a puddle when you stop moving the lid. 4. If you don't get the water out of that channel, it is going to get nasty and if you use the lid while cooking, the nasty water will drip into your food. 5. I did not try blow drying the lid or using the back end of a hand held vacuum sealer to try blowing out the water. In either case, having to do that is ridiculous. Would I recommend the Wok? Yes, No, and, Maybe. The Wok itself, Maybe, if you don't need high heat in your style of stirfrying. The Wok if using Avocado oil or other higher smoke point oils hive better result, then, yes. If you need to use the lid while cooking, then, it is a big, fat "NO" because, the lid is horrible to wash and get the water out of the channel where glass and metal meet, and that is just wrong. For reference, the metal and glass lid for the Instapot, and, the metal and glass lids for my other, more expensive, cookware, do NOT have water seeping under the metal rim and getting stuck between the glass and metal.

Very Nice!
Very nice! I took my time to season the wok. The first thing I cooked was velvet pork. Nothing stuck to the pan and did a nice job of searing the pork. Removed the pork added a little oil and veggies and they tossed around just like you want. I've used a few different types of Woks over the years and this one made the best first impression! No idea how long it will hold up but it'll only be hand washed and I use a silicon tip fish spatula which I've never tried for stir fry and is now going to be my go to. No opinion on the lid as I doubt I'll ever use it. The main handle stayed cool to touch, the little handle got a little warm. Not hot but was warmer than the main handle but didn't need a pot holder. The Wok performed like a champ and made it a joy to stir fry again. Now I'm only cooking for 2, I have the 12" but I think I could cook enough for 4 but any more would be difficult to properly stir fry.

Great Wok
Love this pan. Heavy duty and nothing sticks. I make a lot of stir fries and was worried about nonstick coating on my old wok. This pan is easy to use and easy to clean. The handle is metal but does not get too hot to hold.

Great 12" Wok Pan
I was looking for a wok pan so I could better cook my stir fry and fried rice in without the mess of cooking it in a regular fry pan. When I received the package I was a bit surprised to see that it wasn't as large as I was expecting the package to be when you think about a pan with a handle and how large the package should be. When I opened up the package I could see why it wasn't as large as expected. The wok didn't have the handle attached to it. The package included a small cheap wrench that allowed you to attach the handle with two nuts that were already on screws on the pan. It was very easy to attach the handle with no trouble at all using the little cheap wrench that came with it. Once that was done, it was time to take a step back and take a look at the product you purchased. The wok pan was a very beautiful piece of cookware to look at. It also came with a lid that was just as beautiful. It all came together as a very elegant piece of cookware. The weight of the wok pan was also a bit of a surprise. It has some pretty decent weight to it. It felt as heavy as a cast iron pan would. This was no cheap piece of cookware even though the price was a lot less that others you might have looked at. This was a well thought out, well designed piece of cookware that will last. I was trying to decide what size to get as far as either a 10", 12", 13", or 14". I decided on the 12" and I'm glad I did. This wok pan will be more than enough for my cooking expectations. The sides are 3 1/2" high to ensure you won't have a mess tossing things around and the bottom is like maybe 4" on the flat side. It's hard to see the flat bottom because it blends in so well with the curvature of the pan that it seems seamless. I'm extremely happy with the purchase and would recommend this piece of cookware to any else looking for a decent Wok Pan.

Adds that smoky flavor to Asian food with EASE!
EXCELLENT WOK PERIOD FULL STOP! I love Asian food and I have been cooking it for a long time. I have purchased several wok pans from Amazon that did ok and the food was good, but it lacked the smoky aroma and that gets into food with high heat cooking. Well I am here to tell you that with this wok, you DO NOT NEED A 20,000 OR 30,000 BTU flame to duplicate that flavor profile. My food FINALLY TASTED like the restaurant. I had been trying to duplicate that flavor FOR YEARS and it finally happened TODAY. The wok heats up fast and it stayed hot. It is superior BY FAR to a carbon steel wok. It has a nice weight to it, but not too heavy where you can properly toss your food. Cooking is very therapeutic to me, so to be honest not being able to duplicate that flavor profile even after following recipes exactly was very frustrating to me and it made me doubt my abilities to cook well. This pan has completely restored my confidence in the kitchen. My first dish was chicken fried rice with a broccoli and snow pea stir fry with bean sprouts. It turned out AMAZING! I tasted it after I finished and it bought me to tears. I had finally done it; I duplicated the restaurant taste at home. I know people will probably think I'm being dramatic but for people that cook for their family because they can't afford to take them out, you want your family to have the very best food possible. This pan did that for me. There isn't anything left. It's ALL GONE! I am so happy I purchased this because I can't afford the HEX CLAD model. This is not a cheap knock off. It really is a very high quality wok. I will be making Mongolian beef tomorrow and I can't wait. I can't predict how your experience will be, but I can say that this wok is a game changer and an absolute necessity if you want to up your food game. Quality: The quality of this pan is top notch. You will have to assemble it, but a tool is provided. Once it's assembled, you will just stop and look at it because it's so beautiful.

Amazing Wok — Worth Every Penny
I’m beyond impressed with my Dotclad wok pan. From the moment I took it out of the box, it felt premium — solid build, perfect weight, and a sleek design that looks great on the stovetop. But the real magic is in the cooking. This wok heats up fast and evenly, which makes stir-fries come out restaurant-quality. The nonstick performance is outstanding — veggies stay crisp, proteins get a perfect sear, and nothing sticks, even with minimal oil. Cleanup is unbelievably easy; a quick rinse and wipe is all it takes. The pan also feels incredibly durable. No warping, no scratching, and the handle stays cool and comfortable while cooking. It’s become my go-to pan for everything from fried rice to noodles to quick sauté dishes. If you’re on the fence: just get it. The Dotclad wok pan is a total game changer and genuinely deserves the full five stars.

Great wok
This has been a really great investment. It's the perfect size for a small family or single meal prep but go up if you're cooking for more. The handle can come off for compact storage or putting it in your dishwasher. Really great tool!

No good lid
If one thing is not right, I believe it there’s something wrong with this . I have tried this wok the water gathered around the lid. why ain’t they fixing this. If a chef has tried this, it is easy notable. Please don’t compare this with any other wok. me personally would not recommend this.

Great wok
Great product. Used it just once so far, made some Chinese dishes, no sticking to the pan, and flavors turned out well. Follow its use instructions, should not be cooked on very high heat. We use it for ceramic hob stove and works well.
