I DEW CARE Tap Secret Mattifying Dry Shampoo Powder - Dark Brown 0.24 oz

To everyone worried about the container design and the product going everywhere, all of these people are using it wrong. It says in huge letters on the container DO NOT EVER OPEN UNLESS REFILLING. It’s like a new marker that starts out white until you tap it a bunch of time to get the ink to come through. You just keep tapping the pad on your skin and the product comes through the pad. It works great, covers the thinning parts of my scalp (see photos). I used to use a brown dry shampoo in addition to a scalp make up. Now I have both in one. The texture of my hair is still soft and less oily. My only complaint is when you rub it through your hair or touch your hair at all it heavily comes off on your fingers so you have to make sure to wash them and be cautious if you touch your hair throughout the day. It’s probably the worst one you’re initially rubbing it in and after that just try to stay away from your roots. But I kind of already got this from the spray brown dry shampoos anyway. It also matches the color of my hair perfectly.

I’ve been using dry shampoo for ages. I have a very greasy scalp so need to wash my hair every two days. With my hair thinning recently, I’ve been trying to cut back on how often I wash it. I’ve used all those famous bottled dry shampoo sprays in the past - you all know the famous one - and I never felt like they worked. Felt great as a refresher but didn’t do much for the grease. Plus I never really knew how bad those sprays were for health purposes until recently so I tossed all my sprays out in the trash and purchased this. Gave this a try and I am very pleased. The packaging does need to be better. As most have said, it’s easy to open this up and spill half the product. So be SUPER careful when you receive it and pay attention to what to open and what not to open. I apply mine right after my night shower. My hair is usually extra greasy after a hot shower with a shower cap. It doesn’t feel great as soon as I apply it - it’s a little sticky but by the next morning, my hair is a beautiful poofy mess again without the grease. I bought the dark brown or black color and it actually adds a little bit of volume too! I guess cause it’s hiding the thinning hair up top. It does slightly stain my fingers and hands but it washes out easy for me with soap and water. I haven’t noticed staining on my pillows but I mostly apply it up top to my hair, not anywhere on the back side. Please work on the packaging and this gets a 5 star from me! I rarely leave a negative review. But I have to be honest about this product. First off, I pulled it out of the small box and there was no clear indication of which was the applicator opening. I didn’t thinking anything else but to unscrew the top. As soon I did half of the dark brown product dumped into my sink. This is when I realized there was a different opening for the applicator. But no matter. Not a big deal. After cleaning up the mess on my hands and in the sink, I applied the product to my hair. This is when I realized they now if I style may hair and touch it in any way this dark brown product is all over my fingers hands and face! What a mess. It has good coverage but I still Needed to style my hair. This product is not usable for me and I don’t like it at all. Returning it. Maybe I’m missing something here.

I am 28 years old and have been trying to find the perfect dry shampoo for YEARS. Aerosol dry shampoos never worked for me and I had finally found a powder dry shampoo I loved, but I did not love the way it made my dark brown hair look gray since it was a white powder. I decided to give this one a try since it came in a color that matched my hair and I will never be without this. First I love how compact it is, the puff applicator is amazing and beats the pumps on some of the other powder dry shampoos I have tried. The color is the best part since I don’t have a white cast and my naturally long, on the thinner side, oily hair looks great after using it. Only con is your fingers turn brown if you have to run your hands through it, but doesn’t really bother me much.

How this thing had so many good reviews when I first bought it is mind boggling. Now people tried it and the honest reviews are coming out. I opened the little container and all the powder started coming out. Great! Not thrilled with that but that’s not enough for a bad review. I tried the product and nothing it did nothing for my oily hair. I was so disappointed. I got the brown one and I was so excited but this product was a big flop! UPDATE: I DON'T hate it any more. So the packaging still sucks cause like i said when i first opened it went everywhere. this time it did not. Anyway, I tried it again last night because my hair was looking quite oily and I was pleasantly surprised. It gave me an instant boost. This morning when i woke up my hair wasn't oily it was nice and full looking. Maybe it takes a bit to achieve the "look". I t looked decent last night and fantastic this morning. So I'll change my review but the way this thing opens still sucks. 3rd update: they need to update the bottle. It keeps opening up (I open from the wrong way) and I keep making g a huge mess.

I ordered the dark brown version. Let me tell you - for a product meant to make you feel "clean", it sure leaves you dirty! It will stain anything it touches. It will wash off with soap and water, but best not touch your hair to anything at any point with this stuff in. Does it work in terms of reducing oil in the hair? Possibly. After having it in for a day, I had to wash my hair because my head just felt so dirty. If you wanted to use it for a root touch up or to cover bald/thinning hair spots, then that's probably what it is better used for. I decided to use the packing/applicator and insert my own homemade dry shampoo powder. I am also thinking I can take a VERY small amount of the dark brown powder provided and mix it with my own to give it a little color.

This product is great! I love how quick and easy it is to dry down my oily roots. The brown tint makes it easy to apply generously and even can help cover greys, thin spots, grown out roots. I personally think it can get heavy on the hair but that’s my own error of not preemptively powdering my roots. The brown powder does transfer minimally. I dislike that it gets under my finger nails when I scratch my head or try to rub it in. I switch between this product for very oily days and the CoLab spray for days I want to be able to touch my scalp. CoLab spray still is my fav but I go through it too quickly.

I’ve tried every dry shampoo under the sun. I have super oily hair that barely lasts a day Every ‘for dark hair’ still left residue. But not this one! It essentially ‘matte-ifies’ my hair instantly without rubbing it in. I do use a lot more than 3-5 pats. An added bonus is that it doesn’t leave dust all over my bathroom floor like aerosols. Not sure how long it will last as it is small but overall I’m super impressed!

At first I got the white version of this (didn’t realize they had one for dark hair) and absolutely loved it however I had to be careful how much I put in due to the colour. This dark hair version is wonderful. I have very oily skin and hair. My hair is greasy next day. With this in my hair, I kid you not, I can go for four days without washing my hair. I don’t typically do that because I like to wash my hair every other day anyways but for camping or travelling this is fantastic. It really does soak up oils and it also adds volume to your roots! Absolutely love it.

I feel that the type of applicator makes it a bit hard to get into hair and you have to apply a lot. And if it accidentally gets on skin it can leave a colored mark. Also if you touch your hair your fingers come away with brown with product on them. But it does help hair look cleaner.

It looks so natural on my dark black hair. My hair is natural darkest hair. The product color matches well naturally on my hair color. Just slightly lighter but cant notice much. Just one thing, it s transferrable.. I rubbed with my finger few hours later I applied. My finger got color.. but if you dont touch, if you dont live in hot countries, or humidy area, there will be no problem I guess. I am living in dry area. So i guess it will ok. And I have no boyfriend, who might try to touch my head, so I am safe. :)

The applicator is why I initially bought it and it’s a great idea. However, the actual result is that it’s VERY messy and hard to clean up. Anytime I touch my hair my fingernails have powder beneath them and it leaves my hands feeling very gritty. If I sweat then it drips onto my forehead and leaves a dark dirt smear on my face. Also hair feels gritty and chalky.
