Tarot of the Pagan Cats / Tarot de los Gatos Paganos

I actually love these cards way more than I expected, it might just be my favourite deck. The card stock is just right, it's not too thick so they're easy to shuffle and they're not too thin so they don't get bent. The card backs are absolutely gorgeous and a massive selling point for me. They are also reversable if you're one of those people who needs reversable backs. The artwork is BEAUTIFUL. The cats just show so much emotion and I connect with them on such a personal level. They follow the traditional Smith Waite imagery so they are easy to read. They also have a number and suit symbol at the bottom of each card so you don't have to read any roman numerals or know all the cards off by heart. They are the average tarot card size, more tall than they are wide and easy to work with if you have small hands. The one thing I will say is that this listing currently doesn't mention whether they are borderless or not. In some of the reviews people seem to have the traditional version but I received borderless.

This is now my favourite pack for readings - and I have lots of diverse packs. The pictures are fantastic - beautifully drawn and very expressive and I felt an immediate connection with them. Some make you smile/chuckle and others make you feel sad - in particular The Hermit, which really spoke to me at a deep spiritual level. I love the Knight cards, especially the Knight of Swords with the cat riding on the back of a large white Owl and the Knight of Wands where a ginger cat rides on the back of a fox - very clever, lovely pictures. The pack is an absolute delight and I would recommend it to anyone. They speak to you, as I am sure they are meant to. I can only say very well done to the creators of this truly delightful pack.

I purchased this as my first deck of tarot cards and I couldn’t be happier with it! The artwork is crisp and stunning, I also find the card stock to be of high quality yet easy to shuffle. This is my second copy of the pagan cats tarot as I wanted the boarderless edition. Stunning imagery, and it feels brighter, but the card stock isn't as great. However, not as bad as some Llewelyn decks (I'm looking at you Mystical Manga Tarot)

Tarot of Pagan Cats is loosely based on the Rider-Waite tarot. Yes, you get the standard majors and the pentacles, chalices, wands, and swords suits. Instead of humans, you get cats on all 78 cards! The cats are all of the house cat variety. They are not humanoid and they don't wear clothes. The cards are a good size to shuffle and the cardstock is more flexible. It's the standard size for a Lo Scarabeo set at just under 5" x 3". Note that there is a mini-sized deck available for half the price, but I prefer the standard size. The artwork looks like pencil crayon, with more subdued colours. Great for cat lovers. This is better suited for intuitive readers who use tarot as a tool, alongside their own intuition, or help from spirits. If you're the type who analyzes every aspect of a Rider-Waite deck and needs human figures, then stay far, far away.

De plus en plus déçue par la qualité des cartes éditées chez Lo Scarabeo :-( on est très loin de la qualité du Tarot de Botticelli du même éditeur, par exemple ! Il s agit d'un papier très fin, désagréable au toucher et je pense qu'au bout de quelques utilisations il doit sortir tout usé. Les dessins ne sont pas si parlants, cest un peu trop fouilli. Personnellement je n aime pas le dos des cartes. Je ne recommande pas.
